You had an egg growing like normal! Since you have to do an IUI, they will likely give you Clomid or low dose FSH to try and recruit one more egg. You said there were two more anoraks before.

As long as there is an egg, pregnancy is possible and you still ovulate. Time is not your friend right now. The biggest piece of advice is get after it! Start getting ready to conceive now!

Are you breast feeding? Your prolactin looks high if not! I am not sure, but your fT4 seems high too. Those can make everything else worse. How old are you again? Sorry, I am just thinking out loud.

But as NBP has said, as long as you are ovulating and there is an egg, there is always a chance naturally!

I was also a poor responder when I tried ICSI. Additionally I had problems with the quality of my embryos, since all arrested. I tried swaying, but giving my son a sibling was more ímportant in the end. Surprisingly I got pregnant that month, I did not even really try. I was already 37 years old. Don`t give up hope. Wishing you all the best!

Hi SoFullofHope, your results look similar to mine. I also just finished breastfeeding before I tested, so I'm not sure if that has a effect or not. I'm going to get my AMH retested this cycle to be sure. Even if you weren't producing much milk the hormones would still be produced every time you feed. I don't know if it will change much or not, but I just need to know before I spend all this money!!
I do feel like natural conception is easier with lower results, all you need is one good egg a month to get pregnant!! If you sway you still have a great chance of having a girl!! And if not, having 2 boys is great, I love seeing them together!! good luck x

You are not supposed to be BF at all when you go for pretesting. I'm sure it impacted your levels.

Dear Shannshaff,

I was sort of breastfeeding until about a month ago but, quite frankly, I doubt he got much out of me. Breastfeeding didn't work from the start, so I was feeding formula most of the time, and pumping to up my own milk supply but stopped pumping in January and AF came back immediately, and they say it does when you're breastfeeding less than 300ml per day. So it was already not much back then, and since I stopped pumping and he started eating more and more baby food, he was basically weaning off naturally and in the last few weeks leading up to me stopping, it can't have been more than 10 ml or so per day.
According to the test results, mine's 17.1 and the everything that's below 23 is still within the normal range. But certainly at the high end :-P Do you think that, if I took something to lower my prolactin, my chances would improve again?

Allegedly, my fT4 is pretty much an average value. My results say that anything between 9.4 and 18 is normal, and I'm at 13.6.
However, thyroid problems would be possible, I guess, as both my parents had them (hypothyroidism).

Do you think I should ask my gynaecologist (or GP) to take a closer look there?
I'm totally clueless with all these values and very grateful for any advice!!!

It doesn't matter how much was coming out, it's the biology of the breastfeeding that causes your prolactin to go up. So even if it's only rarely your prolactin will be high.

DO NOT take anything to lower your prolactin, you do not need it and it will decline over time.

Dear Nuthinbutpink,

I know, I stopped about a month before. And since the beginning of the year, he hardly got anything out of me anymore anyway. So it was a few drops up to the end of May/beginning of June, and not anymore at all since about a month before pretesting. So the results should, sadly, still be accurate :-(((

Nope, not how it works. Breastfeeding is a biological state like pregnancy and just like there's no such thing as a little bit pregnant, there's no such thing as "a little bit breastfeeding". Your body does the chemical stuff even if you are only breastfeeding a teensy bit and yes, that absolutely affects your results.

Now, given your age I think you have WAY more stacked against you than just that but just want to be sure that "only nursing a little" doesn't work the way you think it does.

You absolutely can get pregnant with those numbers naturally. Let me know how I can help.

Honestly I think little boys should come in pairs like shoes so no matter what, you can't lose - a little boy or a little girl, it's all good! :)

I think instead of doing that type of "minisway" you need to switch over to the atomic fertility diet in this thread, 5 from the top. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html This will be better both for your chances of conception (better for egg quality) and also for your sway, since most of the "no banana" advice does absolutely nothing at all!

The mineral balancing diets - the sodium, potassium stuff - have not worked for most of us. In fact, once we mostly gave up on the sodium restriction, our results IMPROVED - possibly because it made it so much easier to stick with the diet!!

My daughter is like 30% potato. The entire potato thing is because they have potassium in them. I assure you they are not magic boy making foods. People actually have trouble getting enough potassium on the LE Diet for their body to work properly so we have to take care not to cut back on potassium foods, get at least 2500 mg a day.

Most people go vegetarian on the standard LE Diet. But on the alternate diet, for egg quality we have to be careful not to get too many carbs so we do allow some meat on that. It actually even gets better results than the standard diet so you aren't hurting your sway any by following it. I am actually concerned that the diet you're following now is too high carb, too low fat and protein and may make it harder for you to conceive.

No more peppermint tea. It has been ineffective and also really cut odds of conception a lot for moms over 35.

Also would have you wean off the cranberry extract. IT hasn't worked and has a lot of risks and side effects when TTC.
