I dont know why but its not showing my edits when I repost [emoji34] I'm sure I used to have the persons info grouped together with single spacing and a double spacing between people but now its simply showing as double spacing everywhere regardless. Tapatalk did an update this morning so may be just a glitch? I'll try again later :)

Hi ladies!
Ash-from the last thread...the tree is so creative, love it! I think your pinkish tree will fit in nicely in Mila's room [emoji12][emoji175] If by some small chance you hear blue, you could always color in the heart on the tree blue.

Ash - do you remember your baby starting to move a lot around 11 weeks? Last night mine was on the left, tonight on the right - gave me a scare ☹️ Before last night baby has always been smack in the middle. Just wondering if this is the new norm!

Whoops! Guess my post should have been here. D'oh!

Morning ladies.

I always seem to start posts here with an apology for being so absent. But again, sorry. I took some time off the Internet whilst we waited for the NIPT results because I was driving myself mad.

I woke up to the results this morning. Baby is healthy. The risk is less than 1:10,000

I've been crying like a baby for about an hour. Lol.

*whispers* I also know the gender. They weren't supposed to include it but I guess they did. ❤️

In case anyone is interested, Motherhood Maternity clothes website is having a sale for 30% off sale items and jeans buy one get one 50% off. And if you type in BRANDNEW30, you'll get 30% off the full price jeans plus 50% off the second pair of jeans. I just purchased 5 cute shirts and 3 pair of cute jeans with designs on the pockets for $117 plus free shipping. The sale goes until eleven on Saturday night, I think.

Ash-tomorrow's the day for you! I'm sooooo excited for you!
4blue2pink-I've actually suggested Sophia Evangeline, but a long time ago we decided on Sophia Leigh & DH wants to stick with that-nn Sophie Leigh. My little niece Sophia Grace was born today. She's healthy & precious. I'm truly happy for them & trying to handle it with grace. I'd be lying if I said it didn't kill me inside to see the name, not knowing if we'll have our own Sophia. I'm trying not to go there yet! Still channeling those positive girlie vibes!

Lola yes tomorrow I'm trying not to think of it lol least it'll be busy leading up to the appointment I have to drive two hours to get there and drop the boys off with in laws in between so they will have to be woke up early and it'll be chaos until I get to the appointment! Which is good the morning will fly by. But we will BOTH know so soon [emoji37]

Lola did they know they were having a girl or were they team green? i am glad their Sophia is healthy but i do still think this is a bit..i dunno what the word is it just seems a little off to me since they did know you have had that name for so long.. Sophia Leigh nn Sophie Leigh is so so cute!! and i understand about it killing you a bit inside, i had that when everyone around us all had girls when we had lost our girl and could seemingly only manage to have boys.

Ash not long to go :D how are you feeling about it?

4blue2pink-I can't even imagine what you went through losing your girl, I'm so sorry!!!!! It would be like pouring salt on the wound seeing others around you having girls, ugh, so so sorry! I know DH's brother knew our names, but honestly don't know if the SIL did since she's newer to the family. They invited us to a gender reveal party that we were unable to attend since it was so far away. I messaged back & forth w/her telling her how excited we were to find out & said then the fun begins with nursery themes & names. That's when she said-"oh we already have names" and said Sophia. My heart literally sank & I was hoping they'd have a boy lol. I did say nicely "both beautiful names, Sophia is also our girl name if we ever have a girl." She said "oh really, great minds think alike." DH has never mentioned it to his brother since hearing their name, so I don't know if she knows we still plan to use it. DH has a convo planned out if we do hear girl though...

Thank you ladies.

This baby will be girl number two, three boys, girl (unintentional perfect girl sway) boy, then this girl.

I haven't told her yet, we're keeping her gender under wraps until delivery. I seriously haven't a clue on names, as much as my symptoms follow my girl pregnancy, I expected a boy again! He'd have been called Cooper.

I'll work on my sway over the weekend.

It still hasn't sunken in properly. Over the moon.

I'm so excited to see how the scans go tomorrow!

The genetic specialist said that the actual analyzing of the sample is what takes time. My sample was flown out to California in 1 day. When the results are ready, they either call or e-mail (can't remember) the specialist & then he calls me!! I feel like this is going to be the longest wait ever lol. As I think about tomorrow and have all these emotions I know family will have comments either way but the boy comments are going to sting if I hear girl. I know I will be just fine with another sweet boy but the initial shock might take me a bit to get over. I don't want to sound bitchy but if I do hear boy please I don't want any I'm sorrys might make me cry more [emoji24]. I'll (eventually) be ok welcoming another boy.
I apologize for all my ranting and whining lately on this gender scan I don't think anyone else (I know) on here has complained or griped as much as me lately regarding a scan. I'm on pins and needles over here because I KNOW this is my last sweet babe to welcome to our family

Ash the anxiety is real and your feelings are valid. There are no sorrys for any gender because in the end if we're given the gift of these babies, that's blessing enough. I've spent a lot of time digesting where my feelings have come from and I know my baby will be who he wants to be regardless of gender. There are no guarantees that the gender you think you want will even produce a child that meets those gender stereotype expectations. It may be the feminist in me, but in the end all our children should feel the freedom to be who they want without the stereotypes. Because then that is equality.

You take the time you need for you. I'm excited for you either way.

I'm anxious too ash! Except I have to wait till D-day. My anatomy scan is booked for 2nd August. I'll just have to close my eyes or get them to turn the screen off when it comes anywhere near the upper leg area. Hubby will be with me too so I can't even get a quick glance.

Perfectly said dreaming!! You are 100% right!!!!!
Ash-you have 4 absolutely beautiful (handsome) boys & your sweet baby will be an amazing gift either way!! I'm feeling these same emotions right now, anticipating next week, so I can definitely relate!! I've already told myself that I'm going shopping for myself if I hear boy We will be so happy for your little blessing either way!! In the grand scheme of things, it's just so amazing to witness our little miracles grow into a person no matter what gender is!! Can't wait for tomorrow [emoji173]LOVE the nails!! Gorgeous ring too!! I was team green for DS2 & painted my toenails the same way lol. Speaking of feet, random, but pbn---how is your foot from a long time ago? Weren't you afraid you were going to lose a toenail-trying to remember??

Lolabelle

Ash-wouldn't a little princess who's not afraid to roll in the mud too...be pretty awesome??!! Lol 🤣 Either way, this baby has a wonderful Momma with a kind heart & he/she is destined for great things [emoji173]You CAN do this!! How is DH feeling?? I feel like men never give it as much thought as we do lol.

I cant believe you remember that Lolabelle! The nail is still there although its a purply black colour lol. The cut area is still sore near the bone, think there's still some gravel or rock in there, or possibly a small fracture but I'll have to get it scanned I suppose [emoji53] one day lol. It's sore but not doesn't stop me walking ir anything so cant be too serious.

Ouch pbn, I just had a random flashback to your poor toe when I was thinking about my pink/blue painted toenails! Sounds painful still, but glad you didn't lose the nail & that is doesn't interfere with walking!!

ash love your nails :) and although i know it isnt what you are hoping for, large single gender families are rare, unique and very special. if others want to be rude/snide/smug about another boy let them get on with it, anyone who comments negatively on an announcement about a new baby has issues of their own in my opinion..

im excited to hear your news later on today and blue or pink baby will be gorgeous and a perfect fit for your family <3 xx

I'm so excited to see how the scans go tomorrow!

so happy for you 4b1p :) i have 4 boys 2 girls its a nice mix, and girl names are so so hard!! #1 wasnt named until she was 2 days old and #2 was 5 weeks old!! argh!! boys were all named before they were born, hope you find some names you like soon xx

Ash-good plan to stay distracted-guess we're not helping keep your mind off of it 🤣🤣Hope the morning flies by for you!!! I will checking for updates all morning!!!
DH has a convo planned out if we do hear girl though...

lola it was horrendous :( and a very very ugly 4 years followed where we had 3 boys in a row.. if she said "great minds think alike" then surely she cant be bothered at the possibility of you using the name :) xx

Thanks Lola! Dh is excited he said. Honestly probably super nervous with my reaction. His lifting buddy asked if I'd cry if it's a boy and his response probably but I know she'll be ok after the initial shock! ❤️
Pbn I was seriously thinking of your nail last night! I had to get some things from the store and had flip flops on and stubbed my pinky toe on the cart [emoji37] I tried not to scream curse in the checkout line ! Yours looked wayyyy worse I couldn't imagine the pain!
I had two dreams last night my second was we heard girl and I don't remember anything else about the dream. First dream was horrendous we heard boy and I was so angry! I didn't even want the baby anymore [emoji22] I felt like I had 4 boys and I was messing up our family by adding another and I didn't even want him. I knew I was dreaming and I couldn't pull myself awake. It was awful and I know now after that dream i don't want to have any of those nasty thoughts. I felt so bad I couldn't fall back asleep.

I have to vent! My skin is soooo unbelievably dry - never been this bad my whole life. I've tried every type of moisturising cream, I'm now using bio-oil and it's still not working!
I look like a snake peeling away it's face and neck skin and it's ichy as all hell too! My hair is dry and brittle and is knotting something shocking if I wear it out - this never happens!
With my DD my skin was the other way super oily and as was my hair (an oilfest!). But my skin is really nice and clear this pregnancy With no pimples if you could see past the white dry flakes of skin - even on my eyelids!!!!

Ash!! Today is the day!! I won't be sorry if you hear boy but I'll be completely shocked! I really think this is your girl.
Pbn - shorts were fine but won't be wore again [emoji23]I'm done with those for the season. I got an ice cream snickers while everyone was drinking and it was like the best thing ever. We had so much fun though - hadn't been out without kids since July 4th which is way too long.
Dancing- my last pregnancies I was like that. My lips were the worst - peeling off. It was so gross!

Dancing-My skin is oily this time & I typically have dry skin in general. I was just reading about wives tales that say dry skin means boy & oily skin means girl lol. It doesn't sound like there's a lot of truth to them based on other experiences here, BUT I hope it's true in our case [emoji12]
4blue2pink-I'm truly sorry you went through that, but happy you've had girls added to the mix since then [emoji4]And I agree, at least DH's SIL knows that name was the one we planned on using in the past. I wonder what the rest of DH's family would think and wonder if they'll try to convince us to change it. DH said he won't give them that option lol.
Kat-snickers ice cream sounds amazing...you just gave me an idea of what I need to buy at the store 🤣Glad you were able to get out for some kiddo-free fun!! I have this stretchy button whole thingy that you can use on your shorts so that you can still wear them...well at least if your shirt covers it!!
Ash!!!! Thinking about you today!!!! Almost 10:30 here now, I think it's 9:30 your time?? Ugh the dreams! Sounds like it's your mind processing all of these emotions! Ash-I can see your pink silly string pic on the feed, but don't see it in here anymore. How fun!!!! Very cute idea!!!! So as pbn mentioned, yay for completing your shopping cart!!! You are going to have such a stylish girlie!!! Also, so glad you get to shut the naysayers down with just the simple facts!!! [emoji175][emoji166]

Baby also switched sides on me last night too! Were you able to try again later & find baby? Don't like it when I can't find it quickly.

Ash-love it all! Fit for a princess [emoji175] I remember seeing that adorable one in the front. I recently bought 3 really cute girlie outfits on sale that I'll ship to you if I don't hear girl. It all started when I got this idea & went shopping by myself. We were supposed to take a big family pic on the beach with parents, my brothers & our kids when we were on vacation together & we all bought coordinating outfits. Well it didn't work out when one person was really sick with a stomach bug. When I thought about waiting to tell my family until I knew gender, I thought it would be such a cute idea to buy the same dress as my nieces and say "I bought this b/c I thought we might want to wait until Feb to add one more to our family pic." I still may spill the gender beans to some of my family this way if things work in my favor [emoji175]

I am feeling mixed emotions as I wait to hear very soon! I will be crushed if I hear boy as this is definitely my last baby, but I know I'd get over it b/c ultimately I want a healthy baby!! This baby is so wanted either way!! BUT not gonna lie... I don't like nuts on my ice cream, so a nut free celebration with pink sprinkles would be FAB! sorry.just.can't.stop #nonutzone

My mom, kiddos & I brought my 1 year old niece along for the fun today, so it gave me a taste of what life with 2 boys & 1 girl would be like. I'll admit...I loved every bit of it!! Only time will tell! I've been praying & swaying so hard, so Fx one of those worked [emoji12]

Thanks for the reassurance Ash! I'm trying to think girlie unless I hear boy haha. I def don't feel sick with throwing up like you, so it does make me a little nervous wondering if that means something. My close friend & also one of my SIL's didn't feel sick at all & had girls. I've had moments of queasiness, but I'm feeling pretty good at the moment, just extra tired! I'm just hoping that every pregnancy is different. At least I can say I gave it my all and what will be, will be!

So I was telling hubby this morning about a successful sway (yours ash! And your first time swaying too). He wanted to know how many so far have been successful vs not. I said 2 successful vs 3 not.
He got all like "well clearly there isn't anything in swaying is there if the sways are 50/50 pretty much at the moment - just like normal life." I rolled my eyes at him, but then the stats are there so I guess he's right so far. Makes me question my sway and that it won't be successful :(

Pbn3
July 23rd, 2017, 01:12 AM
Dancing we are just one small group in the scheme of things [emoji53] need to look at a much bigger sample size to see how successful swaying really is. And then you'd need to look at how hardcore the sways were on top of that. I dont ever think we'll know for sure if it works or not unless a controlled study was done where everyone was closely monitored for food and exercise purposes to make sure they were all sticking to the same guidelines. And then the attempts but god only knows how that would be monitored [emoji23] it does seem to have a bit higher than 50% rate though that I've seen. Plus there's also good and bad results in batches as well. I definately think there is something to some of what is said to sway, but other things I don't think do unless maybe it its partnership with the things that do. As an example, my diet when I conceived my boys was 100 % HE plus I had done moderate exercise in the few months beforehand to lose weight and be at my healthiest. BUT I drank alot of coffee (like 2 at home coffees and then a daily cafe coffee - the really strong stuff) plus I drank alot of alcohol too, most nights I'd have a couple and then drank more on the weekend. Caffiene and alcohol are said to sway pink but perhaps they only sway pink as part of the LE diet. Maybe because I was at my healthiest my diet and lifestyle made up for caffiene and alcohol but in a pink sway way it just enhances the hostile environment??? Not sure but its certainly interesting to think about [emoji3]

Nacire seen you scan update in the July 2ww thread [emoji7][emoji7] cant wait for your 12w scan! With the harmony test I'm not sure there are any cons except maybe the cost? But I feel its worth every penny for the accuracy it provides. If you get it done at 10w you'll likely have the results before your next scan!! You're finding out gender right?

Pbn3 - Thank so much for your input! My obgyn said this one is completely covered by our insurance, and highly recommend we get it done. I just wanted to make sure it had great accuracy, and not high for false positives. I wasn't quite sure if these kinds of test are created equal. I think I've read some are better than others. I am scheduled to take the test on August 19th 8am :) I'm very nervous that this stranger will call me with the gender and everything else for that matter. I'm freaking out just thinking about it all.. But Yes we want to know the gender. Also meant to say to make your appt as close to 10w or in that week as you want to be sure there's enough of bubs genetic sample that can be separated. Just thought I'd mention it as you are told you can get it done between 9-11 weeks?? (I think that's right) but the pathology place I booked at said to make sure I'm at least 10w. I had the draw done at 10w5d :)

Pbn3 - My obgyn office also has another similar test depending on insurance. The other one he said you only had to be 9 weeks, but the Harmony I had to be 10 weeks. I will be closer to 11 weeks at my scheduled appointment. I think I will tell them not to tell me gender if it will be included on my online patient account. Your right I can just look when I'm ready :)

How cute Lola! On zulilly Now or yesterday at least they had smocked dresses for $30 I got one [emoji51] super cute! No one wears them here much but I'm addicted from our time spent in Louisiana [emoji7]. And I've caught myself buying blue also. It must be a popular color for baby girls. You can always just put a massive pink bow in her hair [emoji4].
Dancing I hope it worked for you! You need to find out gender [emoji6] it's a great surprise either way.
Iwant4kids hope you feel better soon I don't wish sickness upon anyone! I've been doing 1 whole unisom before bed and 3 vit b6 throughout the day and I've felt so much better last couple days!

It was awful [emoji20] I've also had a dream I was having a girl, then dreamed I was having a boy. DH dreamed we were having a boy...we shall see!
Ash-YES-a big pink bow would be perfect haha [emoji166] I'm putting a pause to the shopping purchases since I'll know very soon, BUT maybe I'll think positive & fill an online cart too lol!
Nacire-awesome that Harmony is completely covered by your insurance! It seems that there are a ton more PROS to having the test! Not sure what the false positive statistics are, but I'd imagine slim. Mine (Counsyl Prelude) has been estimated to be $140 with insurance, $349 without. I'm guessing it's similar to Harmony. They wouldn't book my appt until 10 weeks 2 days. The genetic specialist said Counsyl is highly accurate & he's never seen a false positive result for trisomy21. However, he has seen the gender results be incorrect, but not often...which freaks me out a little bit! He explained something called mosaicism, which means the Mom or baby has cells with different chromosome contents. I have an online account & I can see that they have my sample...then I'll be able to see when they're done, but it won't tell me the results...I have to wait for the call ughhh!

Baby is just moving all over the place and I freak out [emoji85] I'm so excited you'll know this week, I agree with Ash though, I really think this is your Sophia [emoji175] I wish my genetic testing could have been done earlier, not sure why they are making me wait until 12 weeks! Kat-I'm so glad you finally found it, but don't blame you for taking a break! I freak out too! Thanks for thinking girlie, I'm loving all of the girlie positive thoughts!!! I will be the happiest girl in the world if I hear healthy girl!! It would just make my summer...pay day Friday & I'm itching to splurge!!! Not sure why you're having to wait either? But coming up soon!!!! You had a great sway so I have everything crossed that this is your boy!!!! [emoji170]
I've been trying to figure out how I'll cope if I hear boy. For me, the comments are only a small part of it. I have always been so girly & truly just want that experience of raising a girl...doing hair, getting all of the girlie things out that I've saved from my childhood (dollhouse made by my dad etc). And not just that...experiencing all the girlie stages in life-prom, wedding, baby and whatever her interests may be. While it's true, a daughter will be her own person & may not be interested in any of that, BUT at least I have control of the hair & outfits in the baby stages ;) I thought...well at least I have nieces & then there's grandchildren...BUT it really wouldn't be the same for me!! I have so much to be thankful for & feel bad for even wishing so strongly for something less important than health. I will need support if it's a boy, but at the moment I refuse to believe I'll hear that unless I'm told otherwise. And I'm rambling as usual....

thats an awful dream lola :( and i totally understand your other reasons for wanting a girl, i was exactly the same, i know it seems like im sitting pretty with my 2 daughters now and should just shut up, but i spent 5 years desperately wanting a girl and having boy after boy until i was a mum of 4 boys and no (living) girls.. i relate 100% to everything you and all the other boy mums who are waiting for their girl(s) say. i spent those years convinced i couldn't successfully carry girls and it was soul destroying.
there is nothing wrong in how you feel, i heard "boy" for the 3rd time 5 years ago and if it comes to that for you ill help in any way i can, i walked that exact same "boy #3" road and at that time i had no idea what my future was going to hold. i hope this is making sense, i guess what im saying is that although i may seem a million miles away from it now, rewind back to 5 years ago and i was where you are, a mum of 2 boys waiting to hear the gender of number 3 wishing, hoping and praying for a girl.. and as it was it didnt go my way. i truly hope you have a different ending to your #3 story and get your Sophia :HH: i have everything crossed for you to hear girl :) xx

Lola,
I hear you but try not to worry too much now unless you have to cross that bridge and if you do then see how you feel before making any big decisions. I'm struggling a bit still with hearing boy on Monday but what can I do baby is healthy and intoo feel guilty for feeling that way but we are all human at the end of the day. You never know, you may not react as badly as you thought. It's good that you are at least acknowledging your feelings either way, at this stage and not ignoring them.
In regards to your earlier comments about no sickness (just had a chance to properly catch up) my friend has 3 girls and had same symptom pregnancies and not sickness- lucky cow hey? :) so don't read too much into that either. I'm hoping and praying that you hear pink on Tuesday/Wednesday but I truly believe you will. I will defo be stalking this thread both of those day lol

Did you do a hardcore sway or anything you can say you truly believe changed your sway into being more successful compared to your boys? After all is it luck or a bit of both? I'm not sure but like yourself had wanted a girl since 2011.
Before then I wasn't that bothered and actually quite preferred boys but as the numbers increased it slowly started to become more of a want. I'm on no:5 now so doubt we will have anymore but one more sway would be amazing but I think I'd have to do more than 6-7 weeks to at least be in with a shot as my body must be super boy friendly having non ID boy twins the pregnancy before this

this is my successful sway from last year which resulted in my youngest child
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/add-your-girl-sway-/54672-4blue2pink-ttc-girl-sway-attempt.html

it wasnt super strict at all, i read so many posts where atomic advised against the super strict pink sways because they tend to end in boys so i kept it simple. i did a solid 11/12 weeks on diet and we only had 1 attempt. i didnt do coffee, alcohol or exercise. i didnt sway with any of my boys i didnt know about it back then (wish i had) the sway posted above was my first time swaying and i could see the differences between how i got my boys vs what i was doing to sway, but you are right there is definitely luck involved. having said that women with 5,6,7+ boys have got girl/s with swaying and same goes for mums of huge girl families getting a boy/s with it so if you go for another sway you have every chance!!

i have to ask what is it like having twins? i love seeing twins :) my adult cousins are non id twins and are so so close, i imagine the early days are quite a whirlwind though?

I wouldn't read too much into symptoms either. I was so sick with DD1, less so with DD2 but still vomiting once a day until 30 weeks. My angel DS had very little sickness, my rainbow DD was almost identical to my DS and I had high hopes. That was a sway opposite, my first sway attempt but admittedly only six months after DS' birth. I tried a lot harder this time, waited 18 months, took supps and backed off on exercise. I've had maybe three days of sickness, have hardly felt pregnant still at 18 weeks, and it appears to be yet another DD. Symptoms apparently don't matter.

mumof4 i dunno if this is helpful in any way but i can quickly break down the main differences between my girls vs my boys.

:DS: x4 no swaying, snacked/picked at food all day as didnt like eating large amounts in one go, multiple bd right through the month.

:DD: x2 no swaying, 1st time eating less frequently as busy with ds1, limited bd, 1 attempt in fertile window as bd once a week was our average then. (this pregnancy ended in a loss)
2nd time didnt eat at all thanks to coming down with gastro hours after our only bd attempt, the gastro lasted for several days and completely wiped me out, bd was 1 attempt just a few hours before the gastro started, illness prevented any more bd i was convinced that month was a washout.. i was wrong!

:DD: x1 pink sway, LE diet 2 meals a day no snacks, 1 attempt in fertile window.

my boys came from all day snacking and frequent bd, my girls though not all sway babies came from less frequent eating and 1 bd attempt, when i think on it now im like how on earth did i expect to get a girl during the boy years? its so obvious to me that i was completely on the wrong track, i just didnt realise it.

MOFM- I agree with 4b2p that you don't have to do a completely strict sway because it just adds stress to it all. But I did my sway for at least 6 months before I even tried to conceive again. I didn't snack at all, when I would get hungry I would chew aspartame gum and I ate regular meals with my family, I didn't cut meat out I just ate smaller portions. I lost I think 10 pounds which took me down to a bmi

4p1b - I think so! We've been on the fence, but I do think I want a boy enough to be scared to wait until the birth day to feel all the feels [emoji6] I know if girl I can get myself pumped by getting out all my sweet baby girl clothes! Will wait until 20 week ultrasound even if given the option of the blood test Friday. Not ready to know yet!

Sorry accidently hit wrong button anyway him of 19. We did 1 attempt 2 days before ovulation. My husband did take warm showers and wore tight underwear. I was also breastfeeding at the time but not very much since my son was weaning himself. I took no vitamins either. Also the biggest thing I have found is that I always used to eat cereal every morning when I conceived my boys. I stopped eating cereal about 6 months before trying to conceive my daughter. I think all the vitamins from cereal in the morning especially and snacking sways blue.

4blue2pink-- My DS passed at 6 weeks old from a heart condition. I've always wanted a boy from the very beginning, but as my DD2 says, "we're a girl family." I haven't had my anatomy scan yet, but my tech said girl at 12 weeks. My DD3 was called a girl at 12 weeks too, so I'm trying to come to terms with it. This is absolutely my last.

Here's my update on my pregnancy for anyone interested:bigsmile: My first appointment was July 15th. From what the obgyn was seeing it wasn't matching up with the first day of my last AF. He just guessed maybe I ovulated later in my cycle. I knew I ovulated on or after CD20 or CD21 because I got positive OPK on both days. He scheduled me to come back the following Saturday to see if things started to change. Here is a pic from the first appointment 37154
My appointment went as expected! The previous Saturday he didn't get to measure my pregnancy to give an official due date. This time you could see big change from last Saturday (its crazy how much they change so quickly), and a nice little flicker on the screen. He said he can see a hematoma during the ultrasound, and if I started to experience bleeding not to be alarmed. It's not close enough to the baby to worry. I had my normal blood work and labs done as well. My next appointment is 4 weeks out, and I will have the Harmony Prenatal Test ekkk! . Here is the most recent pic of my little baby37155

Ash - I will start making regular updates as I have my appointments :) I do plan on finding out next month, and I will share the gender with everyone here.

Lolabelle - When the gender part of the test is wrong is it because the 20 week ultrasound says different? Are does the company catch their mistake and inform you? So I most likely won’t be able to see my results online either till they tell me over the phone? Your call is so soon ekkk! You could totally get the call tomorrow :) FX so hard for your baby girl!

Thank you for the link and info I will defo give that a read.
I remember atomic saying the same about obsessing and going for the super strict diets but I can honestly say that I've seen 50/50 results where some where quite strict and completely turned their lives upside down and some hardly did anything and both opposites of the scale got the desired gender.

When I first found out I was pregnant with twins I was In shock as I had previously had an ectopic so never expected that. My husband was jumping for joy and I was just thinking how am
I going to manage everyone's needs!! Fast forward 2yrs on the twins are approaching 18 mths and are an amazing duo. Completely different temperaments but I wouldn't change having twins for anything. I remember being told my life was over as it would only consist of a screaming baby under each arm, no sleep, no food and no life. My experience was far from that in the beginning and the only thing I would say now is I find them
Being on the move a tad bit difficult but I think that is because I am
5 months pregnant and probably wouldn't as much if I wasn't. They are an abdoloute joy 6 days out of 7 :)
Thank you for asking xxx

Oh my word that sounds exactly the same as me..wow!
I didn't know about swaying with any of my boys not even my twin pregnancy before this one and as you said average of bd once a week and snacking and high salt content ( not sure if that makes a difference) and sugar actually, all the way through the day.

With this attempt I feel like I focused on it too much without doing enough research and doing it for long enough. I found the lack of eating difficult so then became impatient lol

Looking back at my chart we had two attempts that cycle in the fertile window one 24hrs before ov and the other was either smack bang on ov day or +12hrs but again I think way too close considering all my other boys (twins included) we conceived quite close to ov too. Had only realised this too late lol :)

4blue2pink-thank you so much for making me feel better about my feelings. It's nice knowing others can relate! I know many have 3 or 4 boys before they get their girl, but this is my last chance. I'll be 39 in Sept & this will be my 3rd c-section, not recommended for me health-wise. Very interesting to read how you got your boys vs girls! Your boy lifestyle sounds similar to mine and your girl sway sounds like what I aimed for.
Kat-thank you for that!! I always thought I'd have one of each & i f not I saw myself as a girl mom. Don't get me wrong, my boys are the most wonderful blessings! They are so full of love, laughter & constant excitement! I love them sooo much!!! Everyone is different, but 3 girls sounds more appealing to me than 3 boys lol. Guess the grass is always greener... I really do try not to live that way though... Also as far as your sway, I do believe it's a combo of things, so I wouldn't worry about not gaining weight! I never gained weight when conceiving my boys, in fact I always ate low cal/low protein, but snacked all the time. I'm so happy DH agreed to another one for you! I hope & pray it's your boy & can't wait for you to find out, but at the end of the day...it's another healthy miracle to love & cuddle!
Mum-thank you also for your words! You are a shining example of how I hope to accept the news if I hear boy. It's only human to struggle with it, but he's your healthy & sweet baby boy who needs his momma. Everyone's heart will melt when they see him [emoji170] I'm trying to come to terms with my feelings & trying to help myself see this as a positive outcome either way, even though I may not accept that immediately. Like you said...I don't need to cross that bridge yet! And twins!!! Oh always thought it would be such a cool experience!! How old are they? Also relieved to hear that your friend didnt feel sick & had girls!!
Srg-also glad to hear that symptoms don't seem to matter in many cases! I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet DS! I just can't even imagine [emoji22] You are such a strong person to keep moving forward, but of course never forget your angel baby [emoji173]I also pray that maybe just maybe your tech is wrong, but you sound like an amazing family of girls for this baby to join either way!
Momoffourboyz-dried cereal was my go-to snack lol and I always ate an oatmeal bar for breakfast. As you said, I do believe there's something very boy-friendly about those! So with the ring test, I had DH hold it above my belly since he had no knowledge of what it meant. It moved in circles which supposedly means girl! Hope there's some truth to it haha. Some people do the ring test over the hand & I think it has the opposite meaning.
Nacire-I'm always interested!! Keep updating!! [emoji173]Your little bean is adorable & glad to hear that you could see such a big change! Can't wait to hear what you're having! I asked the genetic specialist if I'd be able to see the results online, but he said no, he would be the one calling me with the results. I'm not expecting the call tomorrow, but will have the phone with me 24/7 until I get THE CALL lol. For your appt, you will most likely have a consult with a genetic specialist who will go through all types of scenarios and diagnoses and give you the chance to ask questions. He went through my family history & heritage to see if there were things that run in the family or could just based on heritage. It did open my eyes to the fact that I may need to test for the BRCA1 gene in the future! My aunt passed away from breast cancer in her early 40s, my great aunt & other aunt (all on my dad's side), survived breast cancer. The specialist said that he would be very surprised if there wasn't some type of mutation. I asked my aunt & sure enough she tested positive for BRCA1!!! What?! All these years & I never knew??? I was in my 20s then, but would've been good to know! There's a very high chance of breast cancer & some even have a preventative mastectomy (like actress Angelina Jolie). Anyway, it was a very thorough discussion & I liked the specialist, so it won't feel like a stranger when he calls with the results. It won't be just some random person from a lab in another state. At the end, you decide if you want the test & then get bloodwork done in the same day! I also got the carrier screening to see if I'm a carrier for anything. Now as far as the gender mistakes, I'm pretty sure it's not the company that finds the mistakes...he said sometimes it can be due to chromosomal abnormalities associated with syndromes, vanishing twin...but don't really know too much else about it.
Ohhh, I've been rambling all day! Sorry for the long post!

Lola yes, it was over the hand. At first I was thinking what the big difference was because the ring kinda turns as it's going back and forth but once I got the the fourth one it was very different the way the ring went in circles. I had never tried it because I don't typically believe in this stuff but I've heard it mentioned too much now to pass it up. Now it'll be really eerie if it turns out to be true!!!

Can you do it to yourself or do you need someone else to do it? I've never tried this one. Lol

I think you can do the test on yourself either way whether you decide to do it over your hand or your belly.

Pbn & Nacire-eeeek! I'm ready, but not ready at the same time lol. My heart is already pounding in my chest just anticipating! What am I going to hear on the other end of that call???!!! When he gets the info, I wonder how long he'll wait to call...he knows how much I want to know health & gender!!
Nacire-I know your test is a different one, but I imagine the process is very similar. The worst part is waiting!!!!

I soooo want to call, but he said he would call as soon as he got results no matter what location he was working. I know he could sense my anxiety & wanting to know!! Going to give it a day at least!
So how weird is this? Boys are asleep & it's quiet around here, so I decided I'd go ahead & find my confetti poppers. I opened them so I'd have them handy to fill right after my call. They were all sealed and all said "boy or girl?" Well one of them only contained the pink!!! Sign??? I'll take it as a sign lol! If not, guess I'll just have to disperse the blue...

Ugh, it's early AM here & I've just awakened from a bad dream! I dreamed that I had to go in for the results. The guy was going through page after page of results that seemed to be 100 pages. Then, I grabbed the one that said gender & their was a picture of sheep on the front (don't know if there's significance to that, just mentioning). I opened it up and it said "male" all over the page. I shouted "noooo, I've failed" and started crying my eyes out saying I didn't want this baby anymore then woke up! It was awful because this baby is very much wanted & I can't imagine myself ever responding in this way. It was very vivid & felt so real!! Well, had to get that off my chest b/c it was so upsetting & not b/c of gender, but b/c of my childish, dramatic response. Back to sleep & hopefully I won't remember any other dreams!! Nighty night [emoji42]

Me too! I just get touched up every time I hear my DH say he is finally getting his baby girl! We both are adjusting to saying girl, daughter, sister! My DH is normally one to watch how much we spend on things, but with her he's like "get whatever you think she needs". He didn't bat an eye about 36 headbands, the 4 packages of super cute socks, and all of the clothes I've bought! He even picked out her coming home outfit complete with accessories [emoji4]!
