Momoffourboyz we have the same due date! Woohoo! I didn't realise :)

Has there been any birth talk here yet? How has everyone's birth for number 3 gone? Faster? Slower? I'm hoping for slower this time and have an OB appointment Tuesday to work out 2 plans...

Mine was slower than my 2nd but faster than my 1st but overall the most enjoyable as i opted for an epidural right away at the beginning and enjoyed each and every stage.

Ash-responding from the last thread...now I'd def get myself in trouble if I opened credit cards at diff stores...they sure do try to tempt with their discounts!! Love how you have your $ from sewing just for you (and baby girl). I may try to sell some of my boutique boy clothes at 2nd hand stores for some girl clothes money!! That is truly amazing that it's been so long since there was a girl in both families...wow, she is going to be spoiled!!!! I'm sure you'll get girl gifts!!!!
Blue-I remember that now & I can't believe that it'll be so long for an U/S!! Maybe I'm confused, but they didn't even offer you a first U/S to confirm pregnancy & measure baby etc? I must have that wrong!!
Laurel-I've never had to wait for baby...this will be my 3rd scheduled c-section! Ready for Monday to get here...I think your Monday will be my Sunday though yayyy!

Blue-wow, I seriously can't believe that! I KNOW you're ready to see baby! I was thinking the 1st was standard. We have 1st appt (8wks-ish), 12 weeks, 19/20 weeks. I'm not sure about later, but my ob always put in the order for more U/S due to issues...breech baby & placenta previa. I wish there was somewhere elective you could go...even with a drive?

laurel my 3rd was quick, 2 hour labour with a 2 minute delivery, had a waterbirth at home, no complications :)

July 29th, 2017, 06:56 AM
My first was induced (overdue) 12 hour labour from the first contraction. Wasn't as bad as I thought after being told horror stories of inductions. I'd definitely do it again.

Lola I am dreading sifting through the storage closet and selling all our boys stuff! It's going to take so long [emoji37].
Laurel all my babies have been different ds3 that came at 35 weeks I was in labor the longest with. But the rest have all been around 8hours.
Blue I had to drive two hours away to find a private scan place it's crazy to live in the sticks [emoji23].

Laurel I will say every time I get an epidural it slows labor majorly so I'm thinking of skipping it this time and hopefully baby will come much sooner! But then I realize I'll be 37 weeks exactly on Christmas Day lol and I've only made it that far with ds1 and we will be about 2-3houra from our hospital! I might just have her in the car [emoji594]

@ Lola, probably won't tell the kids until mid September at the nuchal scan...or at least when we get the nipt results, that way we can confirm baby is healthy first and tell the girls what their sibling is to make it all a bit more tangible for them! ;)

Oh you ladies will enjoy the girl shopping soooo much, so much choice! ;)

I see you are talking labour...here DD1 was a 5 hour all med free labour, fast and furious!
DD2 was a cruisy 1.5 hours..barely made it to hospital! ;)
I would love a homebirth but so exxy so will get I to the midwifery practice group and hope I make to hospital this time around!

I better run to bed, DD1 was sick alll night and basically vomited from 11 pm until mid arvo, so got about 1 hr sleep all up...poor thing was keeping no medication down...complaining of headache too....finally agreed to a panadol suppository and that seems to have helped..hopefully she will be back to ok in the am, I felt so sorry for her..she was desperate for food at dinner but we had to give just a minuscule amount of plain rice and bread so she would not vomit again..she made me promise to let her have some salad with tomatoes and. Cheese and ham and bread to tomorrow..sweet girl, 4 tomorrow!!4 years ago was in labour :HH::awe:

My first baby I was induced due to high blood pressure, then I wouldn't Dialate past 3cm so they decided to take him csection, so the rest were csection as well. I reckon they'd all still be inside had I not had the csections as they seemed pretty comfortable in there... lol

LMSM-makes perfect sense to wait to tell them! They'll be so excited! Sorry your DD is feeling so sick!! Hope everyone is feeling better in time for the big birthday! Have fun celebrating [emoji322]
Kat-I still have to wait all the way until Friday for my U/S, but def giving the Doppler a break!! I knew everything at your appt would be great [emoji4], but still makes me feel better to hear all is well! And how exciting to see how your baby has grown!!
Blue-that's def not a convenient drive!! Sorry your wait has been so long [emoji20]
Ash-I know....my boy's clothes are overwhelming to sort through! I may do a little at the time. So far I have 2 bags that I'll take on Monday to sell at a local kid's resale boutique. I'll see how that goes, then maybe bring more! It's hard b/c my brother wants more kids one day....so will they even have a boy?? I'd love to pass along to my bro :) Or could I make $$??

Ok ladies, I'm needing your help! I stumbled upon this super cute dress for Christmas pics and Christmas, but I don't know how practical it is (Boy mom/Tom boy coming out in me!). It's darling, and I would have to get leggings for her to be warm. She will be 3mo (or 2.5mo) for our holiday pics and 3mo during the holidays. Should I find something more "baby" appropriate for her to wear all day, or would this be an event type outfit. Help!

I'd love to hear your thoughts, from everyone! Especially the mama of girls!

Oh your labours are very similar to mine! DS1 was 6 hours from first pain.. and DS2 was about an hour and a half too! Buuuttt I only realised I was in labour about 45min into it.. and we lived half hour from hospital.. which ended in me pushing for most of the car trip and having him a minute after walking (or being pushed in a chair!) through the doors. It was scary. But I'm feeling more prepared this time. I also want a homebieth but too expensive. So we are going to have a plan for if I make it to hospital and another plan if I deliver at home unassisted. Which I am ok about, I'm more nervous what id do with my kids..

This will be your baby girl's 1st Christmas, so she may only wear it for one day, but it will last forever in picture memories!!! I went to the cutest 2nd hand store today & went on a little shopping spree...they were having a huge sale! I found the cutest outfits for an awesome price!!!!

Lola, show us your baby haul! I love second-hand stores because all the clothes is softened up already. For my first I bought a cute gap sweater set and I've used it for all three.
Ash, DH and I are both looking forward to getting rid of the baby boy stuff. I know I'd keep a lot of things if it's a girl, but at least I could part with a lot without much guilt.
ASF, my labors have gotten easier each time. I almost didn't make it to the hospital for my last one, which makes me worry about having a baby in a car!

Xx my girl is going to be uncomfortable I'm afraid [emoji23] she will just have to get used to wearing fluffy dresses. I say get it. But I'm a boy mom so don't have any experience.
LMSM, laurelw you two are brave I'd be so scared for a home birth. But I also love my hospital, all the nurses, and food [emoji23] it's like a mini vaca!
Blue how cute!
Wondering if I should prepare with a Christmas outfit just in case [emoji848]
Babypinkno3 I want a new robe this time on posh peanut they have adorable floral robes with matching baby swaddle sets I want one so bad but the practical part in me thinks I should just make myself one. A couple nice pj sets would be NICE maybe I'll put it on my Christmas list.

I had these facewasher size sick clothes for ds1 but ds2 I had to use full size cloth nappies and would go through up to six or more of them a day [emoji52] seriously near drove me insane. At least he was happy though and not in pain! Speaking of which gastric reflux sounds terrible! And to last until he was five [emoji853]

LMSM - sorry to hear DD is unwell. Hope you don't all get it.

I just had my first morning vomit 🤢. Feeling okay now though. Need to get groceries and buy some new maternity jeans. I kept my old maternity clothes but all my pants are boot leg and I only wear skinny legs now

So maybe this has been gas baby all along [emoji53] First pic is taken 27th July and second pic just now 30th July. Coincidentally I started a completely vegan diet yesterday but my tummy bloat had already started going down yesterday so highly doubt my diet change had anything to do with it [emoji23] Is anyone here on a vegan diet? Do you take extra supplements during pregnancy? I see my ob on Thursday so will ask her as well but always welcome a heads up with these things :) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170729/9fdaa8233ce9f046a3430c4fbc420527.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170729/7c1974b6c6e417e3a5693265d3bed04d.jpg

Mommy-those Santa pics are so cute! I always think the screaming baby ones are the funniest...my kiddos were the same...hope they weren't traumatized for life from their Santa/Easter bunny experiences 🤣🤣
Ash-I know...girl stuff is so cute! I will def need the money! The robe sounds cute with matching swaddles...I want to check it out now!
Babypink-ok so, here are my finds! Everything was so cute...prob a good thing I brought my boys who made it harder to shop!! I love planning the hospital bag, but so far I've mostly thought about baby hospital/going home outfits. What are your must-have items? Totally unnecessary, but I actually brought LED tea-light candles once that made a calm atmosphere haha. I always bring the nurses & my OB a thank you gift as well. It's fun to plan creative little bags of chocolates, snacks etc.

Pbn I've been needing a diet change but I am not sure what it needs to be I'm sure I've complained here before but I have the weirdest side pain. I've narrowed it down to ulcer, acid, or spleen. I think it's more ulcer, acid because it's when I eat certain foods but I can't figure out what food [emoji52]. AND I don't understand my gas baby either! My stomach is getting larger I'm not gaining weight and belly is completely flat and I can't even feel hardness when I lay down.

Oh, and as for hospital bags, I think I've always slacked off with them. I overpacked the first time then went totally minimalistic with the next, and by the third I totally forgot it at home. I remember desperately needing hand lotion and chap stick! Hair ties, and extra pants because I ended up having to use some of DH's pajama pants. Also, comfy socks and slippers. I had to wear those hospital ones that could never stay on straight. I shudder just thinking of them. I guess that's why I'm obsessed with getting it done now!

Pbn3
July 29th, 2017, 10:50 PM
Ash could you maybe keep a food diary for a couple weeks and note what days you are feeling the pain? Then over the following week if there's multiple foods that could be the culprit cut one out at a time while making sure to eat the others to see if that narrows it down [emoji848]

momoffourboyz
July 29th, 2017, 11:33 PM
Ash- you may have allergies to wheat and dairy. Thats how I kind of found out I had those plus some others. I had eaten those things all my life then all the sudden while pregnant with my daughter found out I had those issues. So my doctor did an allergy test and I eliminated the high allergy foods and I really started to feel a lot better. But I haven't had pizza, lasgna, eggs, cream cheese or even yeast bread in over 2 years. And let me tell you this pregnancy has definitely made me crave those things but if i eat them i will be back where i was and it just wasn't worth it. Going gluten, egg, and dairy free has been the best choice for me, it made me feel like I have more energy throughout the day. Otherwise I always felt tired, got sick often, and had severe stomach cramps. My cramps started out small but then over time got way worse like stabbing pain. I agree with pbn to keep a journal of what you eat and that will help to pin it down. Also only eliminate one thing at a time but I was told by my doctor to eliminate it for about a week for each item because it takes time for your body to get rid of foods that bug you, it could be a few days to a week sometimes even more. I hope you start to feel better soon.

I can't wait for your update Laurelw!! Stalking...[emoji102][emoji352]🤞🏻[emoji175]!

Mommy- my breasts hurt with all of my boys but not this pregnancy. I think it's because I was still breastfeeding up until I was 19 weeks pregnant.

AFM- I just received 7 giant garbage bags full of girl clothes from 0-3mo all the way up to 2T from a family friend who has 3 girls and just had her baby boy! I gave her 7 large boxes of my boys stuff! We are both super excited! I'm still buying clothes though- it's just nice to have a base to work off of.

I found the cutest tights for her Christmas outfit- they are white with a ruffle butt and they have red Mary Jane bottoms! I won't need to buy crib shoes! They look just like these only in red:

Hello lovelies!

Laurel – is this your nipt results you are waiting for? Omg you must be so excited!!!! Keep us posted :D
Hope you get to open that suitcase asap ;)
I’ll be keen to see how your birth goes (they say 3rd babies are the wildcards – not necessarily faster than the previous ones!) as you are due before me :D

Mommy – cannot cannot cannot wait for you to test! :D
My boobs are tense and sometimes have a let-down feeling/burning feeling though nothing excruciating yet – tbh, I have way less strong symptoms that with the girls at this stage – I can’t eat too much or certain things, but nausea is bareable most of the time still…. I know it means nothing re gender but it’s so different that it makes me wonder! ^^
(ps how cute are those pics of Ash with Santa – too funny but adorable!).

Ash – hubby is not game for a homebirth in case of any complications – but if we somehow ended up having one if things go too fast, he would love to “deliver” baby (even if we are hospital he wants to be hands on) ;)
I will (hopefully – hence also why I need to be referred asap as spots are limited) go through the midwifery group at hospital where you get assigned your “own” middie who follows you the whole way and if available/on call , will be there at hospital on the day…
Can’t see the website you put the link for the robes for? I’m sure it’s adorable though!

Iwant4 – hope you feel better soon! No more vomiting? It’s the worst!
Did you get yourself some maternity wear?
Was it the Kia Carnival you bought recently?? Hubs is obsessed about “the new car” – but at $40+K it’s not cheap and dreading it as means that we won’t be able to get aircon in this year like we had initially planned – and dreading the summer heavily pregnant, with 2 little kids and one cooking lol guess I will have to get a portable unit for this summer and live in air-con’d shopping centres lol…
Anyways, if you have feedback it’d be great! The specs online said it only had 2 anchor points which seems strange as otherwise you can only put 2 carseats and the reason why we want bigger is to fit 3 kids lol We are eyeing a few others that we will have to check out – there is a chinese brand (LGL or something like that) 7 seater people mover - less than $30K so definite option too...plus a couple SUVs. Gah, I think hubby has had the news sink in more than me – he asked a guy on the carpark at the shops about said above Chinese brand car as he was curious (I swear the man has a radar on each and every carpark we are at of late, scanning for models of cars that would be ok for our family LOL) “ because we have 3 kids” (made me laugh and melt all at once :D).

Babypinkno3 – not quite obsessing over a hospital bag here ..yet lol but each time I had not actually finished packing when I went to hospital – and hubs couldn't find anything – this time I give him the tsuff, he packs it in front of me so he will have to know haha
Things I loved having in there though: a nipple cream like PBN ;) ,carrier (wrap or ring sling), chap stick and hairties for sure, prune juice or pear juice to help get that 1st dreaded BM go as smoothly as possible....a squirty bottle to rince the sensitive area with warm water (with witch hazel even better) after each visit to the loo... and this time will get adult incontinency undies rather than pads for that post birth flow as they seem to be a great option lol

You girls have selected the cutest outfits for your girls ^^ no wonder you are excited!

Lola – you got a great uber cute selection there for your girl – eeek! She will be so darn cute!

Dancing – am sure you will get to use your cute Wondersuit on your little man – if not there’s always bub #3! ;) but given your sway etc, it’s gotta be blue! ;)
(I remember you saying you had PCOS and endo right? It’s funny how the diet has changed our fertility so massively! I have the same combo ^^)
I actually picked up 3 Bonds suits at Aldi the other day – boy ones, well, just because - $11! – they’re pretty cute ^^

XX – I just adoooore frilly bottoms, it is just the CUTEST :D

PBN – thanks for my DD1 – she fortunately was well enough by the time party started – and was all dressed up in her Elsa dress – crown and gloves included – she was freakng cute – polus she loved my cake :D the party was a success, the weather was stunning – she was spoilt – a great (tiring) day!
How are you hon? I’ll be stalking or an update – your bump is so cute!

Blue – hopefully your patience to see bub will be rewarded hon! You must be counting down the weeks, days, hours! ;)

Kat – nest away – why not!? :D It’s one of the pleasures of expecting – that preparation for bub !
Last time we were in the middle of a major reno at the house – so DD2 got no room, nursery, no anything bar a few clothes saved away – I was in tears as reno went on until she was over 3 months old..hated it :(
This time I want to enjoy that stage of full blown mega nesting as soon as I can lol

AFM – 6 weeks tomorrow (Tuesday)!!! I don’t know why that feels like a milestone haha
My scan is Wednesday afternoon and hubby was uber keen to come so he will tag along <3 It IS earlier than my 1st scans with the girls (6+2/3 and 7w) as will only be 6+1 (according to O) – but since I will be on leave after it’s not possible to do it later or it would have to be closer to after 8 weeks and if I want to get referral for hospital etc it kinda needs to be now…sigh.
Do you think it will be too too early? It makes me nervous not to see anything/or the HB…

Anyways, better get lunch – am ravenous!
;)

LMSM great to hear from you! So happy to hear dd's bday party went well and she was well enough to enjoy. As for your scan try and remember its very possible they wont see a hb just yet and if that's the case rebook a follow up scan when you can closer to the 8 week mark as you said. At least with this scan on Wednesday you can get your spot on the midwife group...

Laurelw I'm in Queensland too [emoji3] and is it really only 15 minutes till you find out??? Or could it be any time this afternoon?

LMSM & Mommy-that's exactly how I'd describe the bbs, like the letdown feeling & a little sore. Mommy-I'm so excited for you to test & feel like your BFP will be any day now!!! Fx so hard!!!
LMSM-sounds like DD1 had a great bday! Did she get her salad?? Excited to hear about your appt Wed!! Also, car shopping is fun!! I'll have to get a new one too!! I have a 4 door sedan that won't fit my 3! I was hoping to get some type of SUV with a 3rd row. One of my friends is telling me that I need to at least test drive the Honda Odyssey. Anyone have recommendations on SUVs with a 3rd row? I have one in mind, but don't know if it's in the budget! I love hearing all of your hospital bag must-haves. Forgot about that heavy flow-ughhh!
Forgot to mention-my SIL left a little bag of girlie clothes with my mom...so yay, there's a few more outfits for Sophia's wardrobe!

Re the scan, I guess they might recommend I get a referral for my GP for a check a bit later (she did ask me to go a tad later but just couldn’t make it work).

PBN – yeah you’re right, if bub is there and all seems well should still be able to get the referral for the hospital middies at least – I booked my GP apt for Thursday arvo so she should have received the u/s report by then.

Thankyou Ladies for thinking about me. Pbn, read your msg. [emoji847][emoji847]Thank you. Please keep those positive vibes coming. Praying for baby to be healthy. I won't lie, I am worried sick right now. So waiting to get through the genetic screening part.
And I have started hearing those comments out loud how it would be perfect if I get a boy this time. [emoji51][emoji51]
I just don't know what to say. Like anyone has a control over it.
And I saw a dream last night where I have a note which has gender written on it and I couldn't hold any
Longer and opened it and it said Girl. And I refused to believe it after looking. And then I woke up and was so mad at myself as I felt relieved that it was a dream. All these boy comments are getting to me. It all started when dh was talking to his family and they all were talking about how they wish the baby to be a boy. Why do people do that?
I m just waiting to get through tomorrow. So not going to think about all this. Keep us in your prayers. ❤️❤️

Great to hear from you sky [emoji3] so how many hours till scan?
Try and let the comments roll off you like water off a ducks back. They're going to be said by family, friends and even strangers [emoji30] It's frustrating as hell but only if you let it get to you. I'm determined not to let anymore gender comments get me down, I think people truly just don't realise how their comments can affect someone [emoji53]
Do you think you'll reconsider finding out gender? Maybe you are better off finding out? That way if you do see girl you'll have time to wrap your head and heart around things before birth. You are a wonderful loving mum and you'll love this baby fiercely regardless of gender. In saying that I am hoping you get your much desired boy [emoji170]

Sky, breathe in breathe out...healthy babe comes first, people's comments as much as they may bother you are just that..comments.
Trust me I had so many when expecting DD2... we knew she was a girl but only announced gender at birth. Like PBn said it can help get yourself ready for when Bub arrives, Infound it was my best compromise...and as you know when baby is there they just sweep you off your feet and you fall head over heels for them. You will be the most awesome mum to any kid, regardless of gender ;)
You should see my girls...tonight E demanded to get back up to "go kiss M" she climbed into her big sisters bed and just lay in her arms cuddling - with M saying "night night sweethearts I love you" just soooooo cute <3
Just a thought in case worries about how to "cope" with the thought of Bub potentially being a girl ;)

So I've been going over the stats....I'm a real data analyser! So far we've got 4 successful sways and 3 non successful. And interestingly all 4 successful sways have been pink. While the 3 non successful have been a mix of both.
Thoughts? Do we think it's easier to sway for a girl because you don't have to worry about calorie intake and constantly eating and having red meat and eggs and dairy etc. like the blue swayers?

Dancing- Atomic and several ladies have been having an ongoing discussion about this very topic. I personally believe that it's like pendulum, a few years blue sways are awesome and then a few years later pink sways are awesome. I think we are in a pink upswing, but I think that is going to start to change soon.

Here is the link to the thread:

Let's talk about blue sways.

Pbn3

Dancing I would think the opposite as in girl sway is harder because you have to monitor calorie, protein and fat intake at least initially. But then if the HE lifestyle isn't your usual then I guess it would be considered harder [emoji848] I for one had meat at least twice if not three times a day, ate eggs whenever and consumed lots of dairy when my boys were conceived but that was how I was brought up I suppose? Or how my diet ended up in any case. Look at me now - day 3 of being vegan after two years of being on/off vegetarian - who would've thought [emoji23][emoji23]

Laurel: wohooo! Congrats xoxo

Lmsm: we have a 2015 Kia carnival which is the newer model shape. Had 3 isofix points and I think 4 tether points?
You might be looking at an older model. We got it for $30,000 with 45000kms on the clock.
I did get some jeans from jeanswest. They had 40% off. No more vomiting but lots of nausea and terrible sinus headaches.

Sorry I'm not posting much xo

Hi ladies! I've been gone over the weekend and just now able to get caught up (I think!)...

XX - for sure get that dress, it's adorable! And honestly, my best advice with girls is get them into whatever YOU want them to wear until they start having an opinion on it (which comes much sooner than you would expect, trust me!). With DD1, I had purchased so many things up until 2T and starting 15 months she started having an opinion. Scary, but true! Now I have no say so in what they wear! :) Those leggings are darling also. I love the brand Trumpette for girls socks and tights, but they are pricey!!

Laurel, congrats on your baby GIRL!!! So very exciting! I'm happy for you!!

Iwant4, glad you're feeling better!

Lola, geez those clothes are so cute!!! Enjoy the girl shopping.

Ash, what is the robe? I couldn't see a link.

Pbn, I don't follow a vegan diet, but do eat a very clean mostly vegetarian diet. I started doing that years ago because I found meat and most dairy/wheat caused me a ton of bloating. You look great in both pics, though. Hope you're feeling great also.

Srg, I'm probably late to the game here since I joined late, but remind me...you have girls and are swaying boy, but don't know yet? Or do you know gender already? Sorry!!

Mommy, fingers crossed so hard for you and Netti!

I had my last beta done this morning. Waiting on test results and then the nurse said we could come up "with a plan" once I have the numbers back. Don't know what that means, but I'm getting a feeling this lady doesn't like me much for whatever reason lol...

XX, I'm going to read that link shortly, but really hope that the trend away from pink doesn't go away...

Sky-I know those bad dreams all too well!! AND the comments too!! They really start to mess with your head ugh. Do your best to ignore it-easier said than done! I like LMSMs idea of finding out, but not telling others...unless you feel like it! Your fam will love holding your sweet baby no matter what the gender is!!! I'm praying so hard you get your boy [emoji170]
Laurel-show us!! What's your girl name-have you told us before? Maybe if you say it enough, DH will give in 🤣
Max-glad you're back! Hope your weekend with fam was great! Uhhh girl clothes are SO addicting!! Where are the best places to shop online for great deals? I've discovered Lenny lemons, modernbabyco, Eleanor Rose, Matilda Jane, smocked auctions, stelly belly, sweet honey, zulily, mudpie (but always shopped for my boys there).
LMSM-maybe you'll be the lucky one with twins!! We've been waiting for someone to have twins here!! My coworker is expecting twins in 3 months & she posted an U/S pick showing that one baby always has her foot in the other baby's face 🤣
Mommy-yes, still early, you're still in this!!!! C'mon BFP!!!!
Dancing-I read somewhere that Atomic said not to go by the stats of the group, but overall stats. It is hard not to though & then there's always wondering if unsuccessful sways are not being reported. Interesting thread XX. Fx we get successful blue sways here!! I agree with pbn, as a pink swayer, it seemed so hard to cut out breakfast and snacking, when I was used to eating little snacks for bursts of energy all day. I suppose it's hard for all of us to switch to an opposite eating plan that we're not used to!

Ash- those are cute robes. Have you gotten any more cute girlie things? Blue- I think you will get your boy. Didn't you say you did the ring test and it said boy or was that someone else? Lola- we have a suburban and it has plenty of room for our 5 kids and in the back for traveling, we really like our vehicle we have looked at others in the past but always came back to a suburban, because it best suits our needs.

Lola- also wanted to let you know that I like shopping for my kids at Kohls and jcpenneys as well as the children's place. They all have their store cards which if you sign up for you can receive awesome discounts, but I use their card to get the discount and then pay it off immediately in store right after I use it. Builds your credit and gives you great deals. Kohls gives you kohls cash and great coupons that can be used on clearance and everything. They also give you coupons for I think $20 for your birthday, and you can combine coupons. And they have a rewards program as does jcpenneys and children's place for every so much you spend they give you a $5-$10 dollar coupon. Childrens place also allows you to sign up for birthday rewards for all of your kids birthdays to so you get coupons good in their birthday months. Anyway, I only use the cards when I get good coupons and pay them off immediately in the store and there's no annual fee for these cards if you do it this way. I believe you can even pay immediately online to these places as well. Kohls also gives great coupons and has great deals around christmas I can get better deals on toys and things there then most other places. And there have been times I have come out of kohls with paying a couple dollars and having a couple bags of stuff.

Thank you ladies for always being there.
I think I got more upset because I am worried about my Nuchal and that's when people decided to give those comments. And a few of them are my neighbors. I couldn't stop thinking about the way they would think if I do have another girl. I know I am going to love this baby to death no matter what the gender is and so is dh. I have a perfect 6 year old girl and I look at her and think how lucky would I be to have one more kid just like her.
LMSM - That's so sweet. I do get really excited about the sisters bond. I know my older would love and care for her baby sister more than me. She is so ready for this baby.
I m still not sure about finding the gender. Sorry ladies. Dh wants to know though and we both respect each other's decision so I would let him and it won't be hard to have him spill incase it gets too tempting. Needless to say we won't tell anyone till birth no matter what the gender is but u all will be first to know.
My scan is in 3 hours but will have another appointment with genetic counselor so won't be able to update before 5 hours.
Laurel - Congratulations on your girl. So happy for you. Can't wait to see those cute clothes.

Ash Esmae is so cute :) im assuming youd be pronouncing it ez-may and not ez-me? only asking because both variations are popular here, both usually spelled Esme with the ez-may pronunciation having a french accent over one of the e's, why they dont just opt for a more obvious spelling im not sure.

Awww Ash, that is SO sweet!!!! :)

Lola, also check out Zara for kids. I usually get the girls things from there, H&M, Gap, and Nordstrom (they really have the best collections). Also boutiques have great stuff, but pricey!

Sky, good luck in your scan!! Fingers crossed for you!

Got a call back from the nurse that loves me (totally joking, pretty sure I can tell now that she hates me for no apparent reason). HCG is doubling nicely, went from 291 last Wednesday to 2,578 today, so doubling every 38 hours. I'm still so unclear on when I actually O'd. Can someone please explain to me how to use this simulator? I got a positive pregnancy test on OSOM on July 19 and beta was positive on July 21 measuring 21.

I was waiting for the site to work since the afternoon.
Finally. So my scan went well. Everything looked good for now and the results for the first part of screening were good. The counselor was happy with the numbers and mentioned having NIPT done incase there is anything that worries us after second trimester's screening. 🤞🤞
So, I told the tech that I don't want to know the gender but he can tell dh. He said it's too early but he can guess based on nub. He offered me to use the restroom after the scan. I knew that's when he would tell dh. So dh knows n the tech said that it's 70% accurate. He is doing a great job hiding it. He asked me to make up my mind if I want to know or not? I refused. 70% isn't 100%. [emoji854][emoji854]Sorry ladies. I m not ready and I know no matter what dh says I won't be able to trust that.
I m surprised how dh isn't even giving out any hints. [emoji52][emoji52][emoji52]

Curious about.
I read that the color of your pee is cloudy when You are carrying a girl and yellow when it's a boy. So, mom to girls and boys- how accurate has it been for you? I know with my dd mine was cloudy. Sorry tmi. Would love to

Mine has been so cloudy since the beginning and I've got a boy in here. So I think that's debunked too. One thing that I think has merit though is something that even Atomic has mentioned. It's being on the hairier side with boys. I'm naturally a little hairy due to my lovely Mediterranean genes. It's been noticeably more so with all of my pregnancies. Unfortunately I don't have a girl pregnancy to compare to. Another thing that I've noticed is that my areola got incredibly dark with my ectopic but this pregnancy they haven't. So not sure if that was a gender difference or just a hormone thing but something I definitely noticed as well. Food for more thought, Sky. Sweet dreams!

Also, I honestly cannot remember about the pee with DD's. [emoji38] I asked a question about OWT in a forum and I really do think there is nothing to them. It seems half the people they work for, the other half they don't. It's binary.

I have my anatomy scan tomorrow. I'll be 19 weeks 4 days....could totally confirm gender tomorrow but DH is coming and has already said he'll be telling the tech to turn the screen off when they get to the leg area.
I had two different dreams last night. One was I was having a boy and the next dream I was having a girl. Gah! I feel so on edge.
I was talking to a friend's mum today (my friend has gone through multiple surgeries, clomid rounds, a miscarriage, a blighted ov and a termination at 17 weeks due to severe severe spins bifida where baby wouldn't survive labour probably). Anyway she's pregnant and exactly 3 weeks behind me and everything is looking great this time. Her mum believes she's 99.9% sure that her daughter (my friend) is having a boy even though my friend is team green. She said she just "knows and feels" her her daughter is.
My mum said she had the same certainty feeling one random day with my first pregnancy that I was 100% having a girl even though I was team green (my mum ended up being right). My mum even said that her mother (my grandmother) said I was a girl the whole time 100% even though my mum was team green and my mum thought she was having a boy - clearly my grandma was right too.

So my question - do you think our mums have some sort of weird "knowing" thing about what we're having? Any one found that their mums had a "strong weird feeling" about the sex you were having and it was right?

XXforhubby
August 1st, 2017, 07:35 AM
Dancing-Not my mom but my Grandma! We are super close- she refers to me as the daughter she never had [emoji4]! Anyway, she always said I would have a boy with all 3 except this time. She did know I was swaying- I just followed her lifestyle. She had 3 girls and controls her weight within 5lbs by diet and exercise (She's 76!!!)! Anyway, when I told her I was pregnant she was surprised at first. She knew my DH was hesitant about 4. Shortly after though she said he would come around real soon, because he will be getting his little girl. She was right!

Keep it in the back of your mind but know people's intuition can be wrong! 🤞🏻[emoji170]!!

Dreaming I love it ❤️ I remember feeling one baby awake 11pm every night and when he was born sure enough he was awake 11pm every night!
Hmmm sky not sure if mines cloudy but is for sure yellow in the morning. I've heard the hairy thing also. Like my u/s tech at my nuchal said dark hairs on belly or hair that turns barker in general because of the extra testosterone in your body.
Max yay for seeing baby! That first scan is special even though they just look like a blob [emoji4] cute blob!
Dancing I feel like I just knew this time around and I will say my mom ought some girl clothes for me also before I knew gender.

16 weeks yesterday! And my night was fab.! I discovered a new mall 2 hours away I never went to much because it's sooooo pricey but ah I went to Nordstrom and got an outfit a bit bigger to fit this winter and I'm in love other than its hand wash only and I spilled butter from my lobster tail all over it [emoji37]. AND LOLA!!!! Janie and jack! That's all. The best baby girl store ever!! I'm so in love. Then we went to a place called the melting pot for dinner... highly recommend it. It's like hands on fondue cheese, salad, entree (which you cook yourself if your pot), and chocolate fondue pot... I could go back now! Other than I stepped on the scale and gained a bit of weight from it and I have a dr this morning. [emoji47] I've been trying so hard to stay the same weight lol and I put on 2lbs from dinner whoops. Dr appointment in 2hours nothing special. Weight check, Doppler hb, and first shot in the butt. Oh and I'll schedule my 20week scan.
Ok I think I'm done now [emoji23]

Sky - yay for good results! It's funny you bring up the cloudy pee thing. Mine has been cloudy this time and worried me do I mentioned to my doctor. She said my pee test (not sure what it was called) was fine. Anyways, I never had that with my first 2 girls.
Dreaming - this may get bumped so many times before you see it, but are you still on meds? I'm 12.5 weeks and curious if I'll ever be able to back off. Nausea is still pretty strong at night.
Ash - did you get the early scans 12/13 weeks) with your boys? Did you see a potty shot? I know with this past one she showed you. I haven't mentioned this bc I keep second guessing myself but I think I saw the potty shot on Friday and it didn't look like my girl potty shot from last pregnancy. I'm really trying to not get my hopes up. The tech did ask if I had saved my girl clothes so that makes me wonder if she's thinking girl. But I know that's so early but I also know my last pregnancy was obvious at that time. And I finally had my first baby dream last night and it was a boy and I was so excited [emoji51] And I know that usually means opposite! Ugh.
I just can't decide what is worse, waiting and getting my hopes up or knowing and being disappointed [emoji17] I didn't think I would be very disappointed but after my dream last night I know I will.

Kat yes I got early scans withds3,ds4 I asked but they wouldn't even look! I just got an amazing tech this time. I was searching hard when she was looking at the bladder. How far alon were you? I had early scans done with my last two at 14w5d both were obviously boys. And I had a dream I had a girl so that doesn't count! Can't wait for you to find out.

Ash How mean of genderdreaming to keep us away last night! They know we talk to each other and want to know what's going on with each other! You look beautiful ash! Sounds like your night was perfect!!

My oldest told me he was a boy in my dream two weeks later confirmed boy.
Ashtyn I dreamed girl, boy. It was all over the place. Cried when they said girl. Two little boys no gender dreams at all with them.

Kat - It's like you spoke my mind. My dh knows the gender which could be right 70% and my friend recently had the same tech and he was right about the gender at her scan. I have bn struggling with the thought of finding out or not. Dh is ready to share if I want to know but like you said I don't know if I should wait and be disappointed after getting my hopes up or know now and still be upset because I don't think I will get what I want that easy. I m just not that lucky and the fact that dh isn't talking about it a lot is confirming my doubts. He is darn good in not even giving any hints or may be I
am too dumb. If I were him and heard a boy then I would give it up to at least give the other person some peace. But men [emoji849][emoji849] and that makes me feel
He heard a girl that's y he isn't pushing me to find out. He has no idea how my mind is playing all these games. A big hug to U and I would say hang in there. I had 3 gender dreams so far. Two were girls and one was boy. And waking up after the boy Dream crushes me.
So clearly the pee color theory also
Doesn't hold any ground. Thank you ladies.
Ash - I was really waiting to see you in that dress. Love that color. Share a pic in that dress anyway if you can. But u look gorgeous in the picture and that outfit too. Looks like you haven't gained any weight at all. I look so big now. I think it's the gas baby. I have even been losing weight. Have lost 6 lbs so far. Thanks gestational diabetes. [emoji12]
Dancingdiva- Do u want to find out the gender? Does dh not want you to find out either? I hope u could get some hints. And I am not sure about the mom's and grandmother's feelings but I have two friends who have never been wrong about predicting genders. It's like they have a gift. One of them even went to someone she hardly knew and said, u are having a boy aren't you? That was so weird and that lady did have a boy eventually. She knew the gender but didn't share until birth. Lucky for me that friend moved away now. [emoji4]That's not how I want to know. [emoji51][emoji51] So in my opinion, some people do have good prediction powers. The other friend is my best friend and she recently had twins and she told me that she was sure one of the baby is a boy. And she ended up having two boys. [emoji12][emoji12]Good luck for you scan and hope you get to enjoy looking at the beautiful baby.
Lolla - How are you my friend. Hope u read my update.
Thankyou Mommy2apples for being
So sweet to check on us.
LMSM - How are you feeling my friend? How is dd now? Belated Happy Birthday to her. Hope u guys had a fun day.
Max - Thank you! And how nice it is to count down to 15th now. I love when we have dates to look
Forward to.
Pbn - Two more sleeps until your next appointment. I m so excited that u will get to see the baby in a quick scan.
Have a wonderful day ladies! I m so happy the site is working now. Missed u all the whole day yesterday.

Just got the call for my anatomy scan. It's not until August 15. [emoji31] I was hoping for earlier, but we have to go to a bigger city for it. I'll be almost 22 weeks!

Heyyyyy! I was having withdrawals from all of you when I couldn't get on yesterday!!!
Dreaming-I keep getting that message too!! Hopefully it gets sorted out soon!! So you're feeling movement?! Yayyy-how many weeks?
Sky-yayyy for a great appt! I don't think I could handle DH knowing before me haha. I wondered if he'd try to give you hints, I'm impressed that he's keeping it hidden so well & you are able to wait patiently!! Soo, I'm thinking I've had more cloudy pee, but will check next time I go.
Dancing-ohhh the anatomy scan, this is such a great appt! Update us for sure! Wish you were telling us gender 🤣None of my family members had that gender intuition. I was team green with DS2, but I told everyone that it just felt like a boy, I just knew it!
Ash-looking great!!! Glad you had such a wonderful night & had fun shopping! Yesss, Janie and Jack has the cutest clothes...now I could get myself in serious trouble there!!! I always liked their boy clothes too when I wanted a special outfit to dress up my dapper dudes! Keep us posted on your appt today!
Kat-that's a hard decision! For DS2, there was no way I could be disappointed when holding the most beautiful & perfect baby boy! For this one, as my 3rd...I knew it was so final...I had to know for my sanity!!! I felt like this time, I would need the time to prepare myself...plus I didn't want to hear another comment about how their money was on another boy blah blah. I had to settle it either way!! Can't wait to hear what you're having!!! You could always take a peek at your 16 week appt!!!!
Max-yay for your first U/S!! That'll be here before you know it!! Thanks for the shopping suggestions! We have a new Nordstrom I'll have to check out!!
OMG, just realized it's the tax free shopping here in our state this coming weekend Aug 4-6...def shopping! Anyone else have a tax-free weekend?

The potty shot I got is a terrible one but watching while they scanned you can see clear as day the famous 3 lines!

They also said she is already weighing in at 3.02 oz and measuring almost 2 weeks ahead of what I really am! And stated she is all legs! But dad is 6'6" so she might get lucky with his height!
