I think that dark line shows that yes you will ovulate within the next 12-48 hrs. It's quite dark! Someone else may be able to advise when to DTD though ... if I got that I would probably DTD the same day - I'm TTC girl too but would love to see what others would do

What time was the bottom test done? Just making sure you aren't testing with fmu. I would count that as a pos opk and have an attempt asap if you didn't the night of this pos opk (sorry have no idea what time zone you're in and your post was from 7 hours ago [emoji53]) especially if you usually o around cd12. O generally takes place 12-48 hours after pos opk :) Good luck!!

Yay bridget!! I'm in Queensland! Absolutely have an attempt! Why would it not be girl friendly? If you o tomorrow or the day after you have an excellent timed one attempt!

Well you may not o until Wednesday in any case but if you do o earlier (as in tomorrow) remember the one attempt more than actual timing is what's getting good results for pink :)

Sorry! Haven't been able to get in here all day! Doesn't necessarily mean you've oed no, but you may have, it means you peak surge was reached so you should o between 12-48 hours after that pos opk :)
Did you get an attempt in??!!!!!

The thing that is stressing you out is in part the assumption that you'll have the same pattern with OPK as you did last month, but there is no guarantee that will happen and also your O can change. So please don't ever depend on anything that happened in the past.
Just have one attempt at positive OPK.

Nooooo we didn't get an attempt in. My 3 year old decided she didn't want to sleep lastnight and wanted to be in our bed! [emoji51]
I don't know whether to try tonight now or if that would be too boy friendly. Otherwise i'll wait till next cycle. But now i'm really wishing we could of squeezed an attempt in lol.
Now i've made up my mind I don't want to wait.
Timing does not work. It doesn't sway a bit, even if you were to have sex the instant the egg released. Trust us, most of us on here have 2-3-4 or more timing opposites (myself included). If that is your concern, put it to rest because Shettles is completely debunked and professional researchers using modern technology to accurately pinpoint ovulation have proven definitively that 50-50 B and G are conceived with sex every cycle day.

So I just did another OPK test (10:40pm, less than 12 hours later) and this one the line is now lighter. Does this mean I have o'd already?
No. You cannot tell when you ovulate based on when your line goes negative. The two are not directly related. You can have a negative test and still not have ovulated for a while after or you can have ovulated and still have positive tests for days after.

Sorry to hear you didn't get an attempt in but happy you're feeling more relaxed about the timing for next cycle! Good luck! There's a 2ww thread that runs every month and it's just as much for those waiting to o as it is for those who are waiting to hpt test. Very handy for posting in if you have an urgent question as there is always someone around that will answer :) Anyway something for you to consider! I hang around in them to offer support and advice (if I can answer) as well but only occasionally look at new threads like this one. Will post the link to the current group in case you want to check it out :)

It's hard to let go of the timing because so many people say it worked for them, but the reality is you have absolutely no way of knowing when they even ovulated and when they BD in relation to that. Not that anyone means to mislead, but people will assume that since they got a boy they BD right on O and will tell people that when really they have no idea. Full essay on the subject is here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/7691-trouble-timing.html
Good luck and let me know if you have any more q's!
