So I've noticed quite a bit of waiting for gender scans in this group. We found out at 10 weeks with our last through the blood work used to test for any issues or abnormalities. Not the teaser ways, the legit blood testing. Trying to decide to do that again or wait until the scans. [emoji23][emoji23]

We have a scan next week at 12.5 - hoping to get a nub!! Really hoping for another boy, but I think this might be a girl just based on my lack of swaying. We'll see though! Otherwise, staying team green until May!
My friend is due 3 weeks after me and she's doing the blood test next week. It would cost over $100 for us though, and while we could afford it, I'd just rather buy other things with the money!

I was craving salty mostly at the beginning of the pregnancy. With all my boys i was a sweets gal and it shows now they are all here [emoji23] the other thing i had which was strange was night sickness not morning sickness 🤣
We have been reluctant to tell anyone more so to save ourselves from harassment until we know the gender. Only my in laws and my bestie know and a few from work.
If we can confirm gender at this weekends scan ill be telling the rest of the family.

The blood test is around £500 in Northern Ireland - as much as I'm tempted, I can wait 6 more weeks and have a gender scan done for £45.
I know my doctor would probably guess for me at 13 weeks but I would rather a definite answer so going to wait ....very hard to wait tho!

Netti I so hope this is your girl too :fx:
I have had terrible morning/noon/night sickness for weeks, I have been prescribed cyclizine which helps alot and I can now move and do stuff (I was literally sofa ridden) I have never been this bad with the boys...i have everything crossed for this being a girl x
With my boys I craved pickled onions and lemons, with this one I don't really crave anything just more food aversion (most things make me want to throw up)
Well as for booking in appt the midwife team haven't received my referral so I'm not on their radar, spoke to a midwife today and she said she will arrange my first scan and they will book me in after that, so still waiting. Hopefully I receive an appointment soon.

I had my first scan today at 5w 3d. The yolk sac is forming on the right side of the uterus and I know so many on this site believe that Ramzi has been debunked but when I look up actual examples, it seems to be fairly accurate. So what makes so many people here think it's not reliable? I mean, I know nothing is 100% but it has been right for every one of my friends and coworkers who have had early scans. It was accurate with both of my boys, this scan looks exactly the same as DS2 at this same gestation (I didn't have one until 7 weeks with DS1). Anyways, I'm feeling a bit defeated and I'm already certain that my pray and sway did not work.
One thing I'm nervous about is that my hcg came back at 3,708. On October 8th it was 215 so a doubling time of 2.2 days. With DS2 my HCG went from 290 to 24,316 in that same amount of days. I don't have the figures from DS1 but it was super high with him as well. I hope this little bub is ok :fingers:

Didn't expect to find myself here. We have 4 boys and just found out (about 30min ago) I am pregnant with baby #5. I did LE diet early last year for a few months and then my lifestyle eating habits changed to a laid back mostly girl diet. DH and I hit an extreme rough patch early in the month, lots of emotional stress which lead to us being careless 2 times, obviously right when this one was conceived. I would be happy with either gender this time (I had already accepted living the life of a boy mom) BUT know if it is another boy we will get less than favorable reactions from everyone around us. Due Date June 28th but all my kids were born early, that would fall more in early June timing. Sorry still in a bit of shock!

Sent from my SM-T377V using TapatalkI think this would be 10-12 weeks. It didn't specify when i looked at the photo. Female nubs i assume are meant to be disappearing by week 13 if we can sometimes tell gender as early as 14 weeks etc. My bf just had her gender scan at exactly 15 weeks and clearly girl and had been showing as girl from 13+2 (she got a 80% girl guess at 13+2, then had another u/s for something else at 14+2 and they confirmed girl at that one). I guess the only time it could be off is if dates may be out.
I googled alot of u/s pics at 15 weeks mostly able to tell the difference if you have a good shot.

Hi ladies. Seems that this little
Bean doesn't want to stick I'm having bleeding and extreme lower back pain. Waiting it out but it looks like a miscarriage is headed my way. I'll keep you posted. 7 weeks today and then back pain started 2 days ago. Woke up to bright red spotting. Hasn't made it to a pad as of yet. Took Tylenol and Benadryl on OBs advice and now resting and waiting. Both of these being 2 things I don't do well. Also, we hadn't told anyone so the silence is killing me. It's hard not to reach out or be able to share. So hard.

Try not to take too much stress ( I know it is hard) but stress can make things worse. Rest a lot, and have lots of fluid. Sometimes, SCH cause little bleeding, but lead to healthy pregnancy later on. Praying for you xx

Praying for a positive outcome, Hannahptrussell! I had the same thing happen at 7 weeks - extreme cramping, bright red bleeding and terrible back pain. I went to the ER and actually my cervix was closed, but I had an SCH. Long story short, 12 weeks now and at my last ultrasound baby was perfectly big and healthy with a 161hb. Hoping it’s the same for you!

Everything seems to be moving so slowly.. My first prenatal appointment is nov 13 and it feels so far away and i will only be 8 weeks at that point. I guess that's the downfall of finding out so early. I read that hcg is usually lower when carrying boys. Has anyone gotten + tests at 8-9 dpo and had a boy?

Thank you for the support. Unfortunately, I lost this one. The sono only showed a shadow within the sac and my HCG levels were extremely low (800) for 7 weeks. I'm home and getting comfortable, allowing it to happen naturally. My eyes are already on the next few cycles for TTC my baby girl. I'm determined now. ;)
I wish all of you such a happy & healthy preganancy. And that you get the gender you were working for! Congratulations ladies!

Momto3girls, I feel ya on the feeling of things taking forever. I got my +ve at 7dpo I'm 10 + weeks now and yesterday I received a letter for my booking in appt and my scan which is on 2nd November (my birthday) I will be 12 weeks.
Taytum with my 5 boys I had differences but not majorly different. With this one now I am totally different and actually hoping it's a girl but I know no matter how huge the differences are this lo could still be a boy.
With the boys I had a tiny bit of nausea/sickness that went away after eating, I craved lemons and pickled onions. I had slightly sore breasts at the side nothing major.
This one I have been extremely exhausted falling asleep during the day, all day/Night nausea and sickness (so much that Dr has prescribed me some tablets) I don't crave anything really but the thought of most foods/drinks make me want to vomit. And omg my breasts are so sore that literally anyone catches or touches them I will punch them in the face :D they are huge too.
I am actually going to get to see the little bean on the 2nd November for the first time, we will be 12 weeks and it's my birthday only downers is they will do my booking in appointment then also which means blood tests on my birthday...im no good at giving blood :(

So sorry to hear Hannah! Big hugs! How are you doing right now?
And the meaning of different pregnancies resulting in different genders... I don't know if that's true. I had 2 different pregnancies: bleeding/not bleeding during pregnancy, having a fast first positive HPT or not, being nausseous, etc... Both pregnancies completely the opposite, and nevertheless, same gender. To me, pregnancy symptoms don't say anything about the gender.
But I loved seeing all those ultrasounds. It's nice to see those exact same little beans like I saw on my ultrasound or nice to see what I hopefully will see with my next appointment :-)
Next appointment for me is the 4the of Nov! I'll be 12 weeks and 4 days by then! Such a long wait!!

I felt totally different this pregnancy. Dry, horrible skin. Salt cravings instead of sweet. Night time sickness instead of morning. And turns out its still a boy [emoji31] even though i have a 10% doubt with my scan pics. I think 14 wk 2days ultrasound was too early for me to be 100% accurate, likely boy but the pics seem a little off.

Thanks for the feedback, ladies! Actually, this pregnancy is going similar to DS, besides the fact that I had all day nausea for several weeks and with my son it was just in the morning for a week or two. I’m at my 12+5 ultrasound now so maybe I’ll get a decent nub shot to guess from for the next 28 weeks! [emoji6]

This pregnancy is as different as day and night from my previous 2 pregnancies.
Dry skin, No nausea or MS, horrible headaches, moderate acne, Super sleepy (like I can sleep whole day!! Really), craving Salt and meat.
I hope it is my little man. My Harmony result will come in less than a week

Taytum - enjoy seeing your bubba today and fingers crossed for a good nun shot x
Samish - fingers crossed it's your little man xI did in my nt scan post (its been quite an emotional and mentally draining time right now). I got a confirmation of boy. I think its correct for the most part however i also think theres small room for doubt.
The potty shots are very off from what ive found and they appear to have lines continue off (query cord), not sure if its just how the pic was taken. I also think babys side profile looks very girlie as nothing is sticking out much. I think back to when my boys were born and they were always very swollen down below.
I did message the place i went to and showed the potty shots with the lines. They reassured me tech only verifies when 100% correct. Of course ive gone to google [emoji31] and there can be errors etc. So im going with 70% boy with a small chance of girl. My anatomy scan is in 4 weeks. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171025/cf340e5de1afbbc103bf3999f2da4402.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171025/a4a62f68b4f4decb1d5c06a6465b7712.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171025/807fd32cbdbe6d9a3279679c7edbeacf.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171025/0079aaafa08d987e8203f42650a9cdff.jpg

Sending big hugs, Netti. Beautiful little boy! [emoji170]
We had our 12+4 appointment and while I THINK I was a boy stacking on the screen, the pics she gave me look girlie or aren’t clear. [emoji849] I was going to ask, but wanted to stay team green. Here’s a few shots anyway! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171025/2b1b2b9b5336438c37cd6ad2b9849558.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171025/e7f65004d599b4ee681d2f2468d622ab.jpg

I agree. I'd be asking for a repeat scan as I also thought it was far too early for a gender scan. If they are right so be it, if they were wrong then a refund for the first scan and the second free would be in order. Either that or go to another place with really good reviews at 16+ weeks and go from there. I would strongly suggest a repeat scan before your anatomy one though as that is a long time to wait and you will dwell on it non stop. Really hope its all sorted for you sooner or later though xxoo

I was just thinking about this randomly - there’s a group I’m in on Facebook (it’s just a general Mom group) and someone had posted, “Has anyone done anything to sway for a certain gender?” And of course I scoured through the comments looking for someone to suggest this group lol. Someone else also posted about having gender disappointment after recently finding out about the gender of their baby. I again looked for anyone to suggest this safe haven. Just found it kind of crazy - maybe some of us have paths crossed outside of this group and we don’t even know it!

Well last night I had very little sleep, was running through my scan in my head. Hadn't really thought much about gender until yesterday.
I looked for the nub through out and it was clear alot of times and I would say 90% I thought looked girly looked flat and forked but then near the end I saw it and it looked angled n stacked. I'm frustrated that I didn't get a better photo.
I can also feel myself getting my hopes up for a girl but I know it could still be a boy (we would be happy with another boy but we would be over the moon with a girl)
Argh!!! Such a frustrating wait we have now until gender scan - we will book for a private one at 16 weeks which is about 3 weeks away :(

Samish: I swayed girl after 2 amazing little boys! This is our last baby so I would love to have a girl but will feel blessed to have a boy also. I really think I’m having another boy - I’m having identical pregnancy to my last two pregnancies. I’m from the UK also and have booked a private gender scan at 16 weeks - counting down the days!
I’m getting a scan at the hospital at 14w 3days - do you think that’s too early for them to look at gender.

Thanks all, for some reason I can't like or thank post's atm.
JaneL I find in the UK the hospital won't even look at gender until your 18-20 week scan. Hope you have a really nice sonographer who may take a peek.
I am still driving myself insane, I honestly feel like this is a girl. Totally different to my boy pregnancies and for most of the scan I thought it was a girl nub but now I feel I'm getting my hopes up and then come gender scan I will look like fool. I'm trying to keep my thoughts to myself as I don't want to look stupid thinking it was ever a girl if that makes any sense.
This wait is worse than the 2ww, does anybody else find out soon?

I felt exactly the same way Happylea. I really felt this pg was different to the others. I feel like my tiny shred of hope is fading though. I should find out in a week. Im not looking forward to it at all. Im hoping though it eases some of the anxiety I have been getting. I keep having these thoughts or just this over whelming feeling that something is wrong or will be. I have never had it in other pgs and i don't really worry too much about stuff but something is abit off this time. I think part of it is because this is our last baby and this is it whatever will be. So there's definite closure on dreams particularly if they don't come true. I have a set boy and girl name in place, part of me will be happy to name him or her and put an identity to our last little human.
Ive been feeling crampy on and off aswell. It feels like Braxton hicks without the hard belly. I keep having thoughts of blood on my underwear or when i use the bathroom but nothing at all. Ill be glad to have this anatomy scan just to put my mind at ease.
Hope everyone is well.

I just booked on for a gender scan and then instantly regretted booking it (paid deposit) as I found a company that do it from 15weeks so it's booked in for 15w2d and I know that's early but I'm so bloody impatient :( I did find out with my last son at 15w1d though so hopefully they can tell. Netti this too will be our last and yes what will be will be. The waiting is the worst and I find it totally easier once I know and like you say give the little bean an identity. We have a boy name we both like but don't have a girl name. Good luck for next week I will be stalking x
Count down now until 20th Nov.Yoy dhould be able to get a good view if baby is cooperating 🤣 mine started out stubborn and appeared to be napping at the gender scan [emoji23]

I had just a general check up today - all looked good and baby’s heartbeat was 160, but, he/she was moving all around and the tech had to stop and search again for it each time. Not that it makes a difference, but thinking it would be lower obviously if Baby was resting. I know HB is just an OWT, but sometimes it’s nice to have the extra boost of confidence!

Netti and Taytum, wonderfull news all went well and baby is fine.
My baby also had a high heartbeat and I too wondered if that is related to gender. High HB would likely be a girl. At least... that's what the OWT says.

Of course then I did some googling and it was all up in the air as far as HB and gender. I did find that SUPER high (180’s) tended to be girls. But 150-160 was totally 50/50, which I already knew. [emoji23] My anatomy scan is Dec 11, but we won’t be officially finding out. But I’ll be watching the scan like a hawk! Lol. I need tips now on what to look for!

Netti it is such a hard decision but I know if it was me I couldn't live with the doubt for the rest of the pregnancy. Go with your heart and do what is right for you xxx
Tomorrow I'm back for bloods as one lot from my booking in appt needs repeating - had to happen to me as I'm crap at giving blood :(
I'm driving myself crazy looking at nub shots and comparing to what I saw in my scan, just wish I had a decent nub shot image.

Thanks ladies. I won't exactly find out at the scan. I've made the decision if they can tell gender im going to ask if they can print some copies and write it down. DH won't be with me (next weeks schedules are just crazy) and as this is our last id like to do it together.
I also found out this week another friend is due in Feb. Whilst she hasn't had gender confirmed the ob who was doing the scan said he couldn't see anything between the legs. So with 2 friends due with girls after boys, i feel like hibernating for a while [emoji20]

I know how you feel netti - my cousin got gender confirmed last week as a girl and my sister is having a girl. My cousin, sister and I are very close - we all live beside each other and our kids will all be going to the same school and be in the same class.
This has made me even more anxious about my gender scan - because I know even if I have a beautiful baby boy who I will adore, it will be hard to watch them have that mother/daughter relationship that I will never have.
I now just have to decide to ask about gender on Wednesday (14weeks 3 days) or wait until my private gender scan at 16 weeks. I have no patience but I’m scared they would get it wrong at 14 weeks 3 days.

Thats how i feel as well. Theres very few people i trust and talk to in real life and now 1 of them is having a girl, something ive longed for so long around the same time as me. Its just ugghh.
As you know i had my scan at 14+3. The pics i got were definitely questionable but the more ive been thinking, they must have seen something surely to say boy. So im all over the place atm. If your getting a gender scan at 16 weeks, id wait til then.

In my experience with ds5 it was easier when I knew. It stung for a while but in time i felt better. This time, this is the last baby, so i think it may take a Little bit longer. I definitely hear you on the comments from others- its why i waited a long time to tell people this time.
Im hoping baby is cooperating at this scan too and 18 weeks should be ok. As hard as it is, i would try and wait til 16 weeks too.

Pbn to be honest im not sure how i feel. Theres been a great deal going on with work and home, its the first time a scan has snuck up on me without a countdown. I felt i haven't really had the time to process either possibility, yet i think i kept myself deliberately busy so I wouldn't dwell.
I feel it's a boy. i mean what else could it be. There had to be something at the 14 week scan that they were certain it was a boy despite the pics. Hopefully they can accommodate my request with gender pics if they can tell.

Definitely a boy. Tech was pretty certain boy unless its girl with a penis. Initially before checking gender tech was thinking girl and there didn't seem to be anything between. On closer look though when i wanted to see it was obvious. I have to go back in a few weeks to check heart and parts of the brain as still a little early for that but ill check again. I couldn't wait till my scan on the 6th of December so I cave in and made an appointment for a private genderscan this week on Saterdaymorning! I will be 14 weeks by than. They claim they can tell you the gender on that gestiation. So my fingers are crossed that that will be the case. I'm so nervous to find out, but at least you can used to the idea. I've a strong feeling he will be a boy...
Another question... when did you see your belly growing? And when can you feel the first movements of the baby? I can't remember with my previous pregnancies as they were to long ago (the boys are already 8 and 9 y old). Anyone already experience those movements?

Hold onto the name. Keep it. When your boys get old enough to have children, you can share it with them. That’s what my Grandma did, and my Uncle Gary named their daughter the name she would have used. It was very healing for my Grandma.

I am only 13.5 weeks and i already look massive may be due to the weight I gain during HE Diet or because it is my third pregnancy.
I am also feeling faint movements, my doctor thinks it could be gasses as it is not possible to feel movement that early. But it is my third pregnancy and I know the diference between baby moves and gases :)

Thanks XX. Part of me is just relieved i know definitely and i can start enjoying this last pregnancy. It will be good to finally declutter all the baby stuff in the house. Deep down i always felt like it would be too good to be true, a true miracle. Its just a shame i couldn't get to use my girl name.

I'm sorry to pop in with my own selfish needs again. I feel like I never have time to check in until I can't get the worry out of my head.
I was just wondering, has anyone been told their baby's nuchal fold was measuring too big? I had my 20 week scan last week and revived a call from my doctor yesterday saying my sweet Oliver has excessive skin on the nape of his neck. They are sending me to a specialist because this is a sign of down syndrome. I'm heartbroken and I don't know what to do. I know I will love him and keep him regardless. The mental and physical disabilities just mean extra care, and thay I can handle. But I'm well aware of the abundance of health risks that come with down syndrome, and the fact that we are not financially capable of giving him what he needs in terms of medical and future educational resources, if he does habe down syndrome.
I'm so scared, and I feel so guilty. I really do feel like I played with mother nature and caused this to happen. I know scientifically they say that's not possible, but I can't help but feel that way when my girls are 100% healthy and then I discover swaying, get my so desired gender, and it turns out that he has a distinctive characteristic of down syndrome.
I'm trying not to worry just yet, and Sr if they find any other symptoms at my level 2 ultrasound, but every hour thinking about this feels like forever.

I can't remember with my previous pregnancies as they were to long ago (the boys are already 8 and 9 y old). Anyone already experience those movements?I could very clearly see my baby boy at 14weeks+3days. I noticed my belly growing as early as 6-8 weeks, but others didn't notice until 10 weeks. I first felt dd1 move at 19 weeks, dd2 at 18 weeks and now ds I felt at 17weeks+2days. He is by far my most active. Good luck at your gender scan!

I thought they only did the nuchal fold at 11-13ish weeks? That’s what my OB has always told me for both pregnancies. Is it possible at 20 weeks it’s an inaccuracy?
Regardless big hugs and try not to stress until you have more definite answers (I know easier said than done!). Sending prayers and positive vibes for you and sweet baby Oliver. [emoji170]

Netti – congrats on your healthy baby – I’m sorry you didn’t hear girl – my heart goes out to you, I know you have so much on your plate already that you can’t really linger on this, but I do hope time will allow you to heal from this GD – he will be the cutest little man if your eldest boys are anything to go by, because they are just beyond handsome :hugs:
TTC – I can’t see why they are worrying you – the nuchal fold thickness isn’t an accurate soft marker at 20 weeks normally – was it reeeeeally thick for them to be so concerned that they felt the need to send you for a f/u?
I hope all turns out ok for your baby boy :hugs:
Pinkhope- this is my 3rd, and my belly started to grow very early on – maybe 6 weekish? but it has had a growth spurt in the last 3 weeks or so (am now 21 weeks). All my girls were active as, this one is actually the most discreet – or it could just be that with work and two young kids, I have even less time to focus on her movements? Lol

LolI read online that there are soft, mild and high markers and the nuchal fold is a high marker and puts my baby at x4 greater risk of DS if three measurement is higher that 6mm.. Today I had my regular pregnancy check up and I asked what the specific measurement was and she told me his was 5.5 and they consider anything over 5 to be a need for concern, especially because his head is measuring "too big" (But all my kids habe big heads, it's runs in my dh's family). She did say that test is usually done much earlier and is not as accurate after 14 weeks, but since I declined the testing I was offered at 12, they added it to my anatomy scan. She says the level 2 ultrasound can detect more and we'll see if there are any more markers present.

That’s kind of weird they added it to your 20w scan when you declined it in the first place, especially if it’s not as accurate after 14w. I’m obviously no doctor, but I would definitely keep all that in mind going for your L2 testing. I could see this being a case where you’re told there’s something wrong and deliver a perfectly healthy little boy! Hang in there!

After reading everything that I've read, I don't understand why the test was done at a time when it is likely to be inaccurate, and his reading doesn't really sound like its "too high" but perhaps just on the higher end.. I just can't believe that they would tell me he's high risk for DS and send me to a specialist for no reason, so the worry and fear is definitely there full force.

The doctor gave me my choice of 3 different locations and I chose one. She was supposed to make the appointment with the specialist for me as a referral and contact me again (by yesterday!) to let me know when my appointment is scheduled for. She did not call. So I'm pretty upset and calling their office this morning as soon as they open. For someone saying this is such a big concern, I feel like she should be taking it a little more seriously.

Its my understanding that the NT was included as part of the DS testing they offered at 12 weeks, which I declined because I did not want amniosentesis. So they threw it in with my 20 week scan, even though it has a smaller accuracy rate after 14 weeks. It's just really scaring me because neither of my girls ever showed excessive skin at the nape of the neck, or a larger than normal head. They have had larger than "normal" heads since birth, but it never showed on ultrasound. But that's just one of the traits they get from dh and his mother's side of the family.

Can't you do a NIPT test? They screen for down. In my opinion this will give you to most accurate result, because now it's speculating from the doctors and you will never know for sure.

I had this exact same thing a few weeks ago. Started in my throat and my throat was SO, SO sore. I actually went in and got tested for strep because I thought for sure I had it (and of course, tested negative). I then started losing my voice and full on couldn't talk by the end of the week!! It was miserable. Basically I finally gave in and took some Tylenol for the pain, but that was it. I get it, I never took anything with DS and I hated taking the Tylenol. But I was miserable. It took about 10 days and I finally felt better. Best of luck!

That's what pbn suggested too, and I think this is the blood work my doctor mentioned I could ask for since I'm declining amnio. But other are saying (and I've read online) that this can no longer be done after week 12 or so.
Called my doctor this morning and the level 2 ultrasound is scheduled this Friday at 7:30am, so only 2 days from now. Im surprised how quickly they are getting me in but definitely thankful.

I have 2 boys, aged 8 and 9.
I always hoped for a girl, but 3 kids is our max so this is our last chance for a girl. Knowing DS 1 and 2 were boys wasn't that hard because I knew there was a chance for dear child 3, but now it's definite. So I'm really nervous for scan tomorrow! But I know either way I would love that little one! But I'm so hoping to hear the words 'it's a girl. :-)

Do you know something more from the doctors yet? I remembered that you had an appointment today or am I wrong?
During his ultrasound today they found dilation of the kidney. So he had one hard marker and now one soft marker as well. However they did say that the dilation is such a common thing in boys that if he didn't already have a hard marker, the dilation alone wouldn't be enough to even question DS. Everything else looked okay, but the doctor is going to look over the ultrasounds more thoroughly and they are going to call me with results at the same time my blood test results come back. They told me the blood test that was done is specifically for 2nd trimester screening and is 99% accurate.
Jen: I am so so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the sorrow. I'm praying for you and your family.

My gender scan is now tomorrow - my dates have been brought a week forward. I am so so nervous - I am almost certain that I will hear a boy and that I will never have a daughter. Everyone around me is having girls and I just know i wonÂ’t. I lost my mum when I was young and I miss that mother/daughter relationship soo much and I just think a daughter will ease the pain. IÂ’m so worried how I will cope once it is confirmed I will never have a daughter x

Ttcblue - I hope you hear good news. Will be thinking of you.
Pinkhope - IÂ’m so excited to hear your news!
Netti - I hope buying baby boy clothes brought you some peace.
IÂ’m so worried how I will cope once it is confirmed I will never have a daughter xIt did help buying some stuff. I will always have those feelings though when i want to do something girlie but it is what it is. I do hope you hear girl.
The lady who has been doing our photos for a few years has 3 boys. She resonates with some of the emotions and she will be taking newborn photos. So its comforting to know how common people do have these feelings and share a little of how they are/were feeling about wanting a certain gender only for it not to happen.

I just came back from my scan. Baby didn't really cooperate so it was difficult to see gender. The tech didn't see boyparts so she thinks it will be a girl, but that doesn't convince me very much! Plus pictures seem to look boyish to me :s. I have to admit, pics aren't great... What do you think of those scans (those were the best I got :s)?

I'm 14 weeks today.
I didn't see anything in the second pic so yes I was thinking girl as well, but in the first pic there seems to be a bump...like a penis? Also I don 't know if angle is good in the second pic. Maybe penis is just not visible in this angle??

I know what you mean about the 1st pic though if it were a boy id expect something more to be protruding. Even though things may be out of view / not right angle etc that 2nd pic doesn't have anything to indicate scrotum either. Id very much believe girl at this point.

Really? I can not believe this is my girl...
Because in that first pic there seems to be something pointing out... so I thought those are boy parts?

Nope. In the first pic, the nub is angled up because the legs are up toward the abdomen. The white part that looks like boy bits is the cord.

It’s a boy!
If I’m honest ....I cried a lot yesterday and felt very sorry for myself that I’ll never have a daughter. However today I’m feeling so much better - I’m obsessed with my 2 sons and will be equally obsessed with this 3rd little boy I am so blessed to have!
I am going to dedicate myself to them - doing my best to raise 3 happy & amazing men. They may be boys but they will always be my little best friends - even when they are grow up! We might not have the same interests but whatever interests they might have - I will be there supporting them 100% from the side of any football, rugby pitch or any racing track.
My husband has been amazing ....he has only ever wanted 2 children but went for a third just for me. He his now saying he is going to cancel his booking for a vasectomy incase I want to try for a girl in a few years - but to be honest I don’t feel I could put myself through all that hope again. I just want to feel content and utterly blessed to have 3 sons!
It will be difficult watching my sister & cousin have their girls in the next few months but I really want to try my best to be nothing but happy for them.
Xx
