View Full Version : Clomid: do you BD e4d or sperm meets the egg???

Si, I've been working on my pink sway and I have some questions
I can get some clomid, so I was wondering if it's recommended to BD e4d OR the sperm meets the egg?? I've found an old post from atomic that says that if you are taking clomid you should do the sperm meets the egg method, but it's from 2012. It makes sense to me.
BUT more recently I've seen a post where atomic said to BD e4d with clomid.
So!!! Which one is it best?
Other things on my sway
- LE diet, tracking with fitness pal no more than 1800 cal/day with 50% carbs, 60-50 gr fats and protein 30-40 gr, no breakfast, lots of fasting, aspartame and empty calories
- Taking only folic acid, baby aspirin, metformin 850 and will start fiber supplement soon.
- Chinese calendar ok for girl according to months for my age.
Also, when do you recommend to start the clomid? CD3 or CD5? I know you can do it both ways. But seen people here starting on CD3 more, both times for 5 days.
Thanks!!!!

Atomic will advice once she sees this.
Start off bd e4d then bd again during a positive opk.
E4d counting as bd on a Monday and then another attempt Thursday
Atomic will advice not to take aspirin anymore if you are only using it for a sway.
Chinese calendar was right for two of mine and wrong for two of mine.
She will probably advice 3-7 but as she says your sway your way!

Start off doing stricter sway and then over time move to more and more attempts, ending with SMEP.
I prefer CD 3 because I feel like we've seen twins with both timing and CD 3 seems to yield more pregnancies.

Yes let's skip the aspirin, hasn't worked and had way more risks and side effects than I like.
If Chinese Calendar worked, there would not be orphanages full of unwanted Chinese baby girls. :( They are either 3 wrong, 2 right or 3 right, 2 wrong for me no matter what one I try.

Atomic I was wondering if e4d plus one attempt at positive opk it's ok? I'm driving you nuts! I'm sorry [emoji1317][emoji177]

I do not think that is anywhere near as pink friendly as every 4 days. But it is better than SMEP, if you can't stand every 4 days.

I will stick with e4d if you think is best. In other news.. AF came only 12 days after my D&C, or what it looks like AF according to an US I had and what my obgyn said. So I will be starting TTC this month, only 4 weeks after starting LE diet. Scary.

I doubt that is ~really~ AF (meaning, that you ovulated and then got your period) but it's some other type of bleeding, possibly from falling estrogen levels. Anything is possible though. I mention this so you don't think that this means you will now resume normal cycles because you very well may not.
So, try not to stress too much, you may not ovulate within 2 weeks' time, or you may not be able to conceive this quickly - you may have a very short LP for a month or two, for example - so let's play it by ear and see what happens. :)

Well, I thought like you, this couldn't possibly be AF. But I had a dominant follicle of 20 mm, then when the bleeding appeared 12 days after that I had the same follicle broken and with some blood in it, meaning I ovulated from that follicle my doctor said. And it surely looks like normal AF, one day of spotting, 2 heavy flow and now mild flow. I know it doesn't mean I'm back to my normal cycles but it won't hurt to try right? In the meantime I have more weeks of LE diet and some BDing to do ;)

Wow crazy!! I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen that.
No, won't hurt at all to try but I just don't want you to get your hopes up that it's going to be right back to O in 14 days from now, that's all. :)
Good luck!
