Babypink - She made that comment into the scan, but was just with conversation. I was saying we thought we were done, sold a lot of stuff, etc.
Max - where are you suppose to start back work? Do your kids start school later than normal? Ours started this week!

Kat-from the outsider's perspective (maybe b/c I really wanted a girl), your situation sounds ideal to me, win-win! Since you swayed for a boy and boys are pretty awesome, I hope you have a boy in there to experience both genders! [emoji170]On the flip side, the idea of 3 girls sounds so awesome & like such a sweet bond! You do make beautiful girls [emoji175]
Max-how are you doing today? I bet you are drained from everything! It sounds like lots of stories shared here of large hematomas with a positive outcome! I'll keep you in my prayers, I believe everything will be just fine [emoji173]

Hi ladies! OMG yes lola, honestly I am so overly exhausted from everything emotionally. I've tried reading up a lot on what it all means and there's so many different scenarios, the scariest being obviously miscarriage but also preterm labor. My other pregnancies were so smooth, this is just hard to process I guess. My sister took the girls last night and I was able to lay in bed all night and today. I have to tell you that as nice as that seems, I'm starting to go stir crazy. Really praying I don't have to do this for the remainder of my pregnancy!!

Kat, my girls start school after labor day. It sounds so late, but they don't get out of school until end of June! I own my own business so I can loosely go back after labor day as well. We also gave away EVERYTHING, like literally everything! :)

Momoffour, thank you so very much for all of those tips! My doctor didn't say much about it honestly. I'm going to load up on protein and vitamin C&K. Really do appreciate it!!

Max. That happened to me I was saving all my boy stuff because I knew I wanted another baby. My aunt talked me out of it and shortly after I got pregnant with Braxton. She knew I wanted everything back after they were finished with it, and they didn't give a thing back.

Well i have had such an emotional day today. Decided to go through all the girls closets and the storage room. I had laid out all the girls old clothes and baby gear for give away and was planning to get rid of them over the summer. I was hoping to close the baby chapter but here i am expecting a fourth ... i am just exhausted. Not looking forward to the sleepless nights, diapers, weaning ... and i simply cannot do another girl i am getting tired of the pink, the ruffles and the tutus ! It was fun at first but now its just too much ... i hate myself for feeling this way but i can't help it.

Max-I can imagine you would start to get cabin fever, but it's a good chance to rest & take care of yourself! Mommas often don't take enough time to ourselves to rejuvenate! I know what you mean though...it's hard to be forced into staying at home when used to being on the go!! Are you still at the beach house? So nice of your sis to take your girls!
Mommy-can't believe you didn't get any of your baby things back from your aunt when she knew you were preggo!!!

Blue, I sooooo understand that! I am thinking long term and so excited for our family to grow, but I have to be so honest that I'm so terrified of the sleepless nights, going through potty training again, tantrums that we have grown out of, etc. And I got rid of all of our pink princess gear and never wanted to repeat that stage. My DH said that if we have another girl she will have to be a tomboy. [emoji23] My nephew is 2 and walks around all day in his spider man costume shooting people with his fake webs. It's honestly the cutest thing and my DH is so jealous of that!

My mom knits and will be here soon, will have to have her teach me. Good call!

Lola, yes we are still here until late august. I'm so not ready to leave....I'm not at all excited about getting back to the hustle and bustle. How are you feeling??

Mommy, that's so crazy! I gave away all our clothes and gear under the assumption we were done. But I do have to say that part of me is excited for new things, you know?

Blue I really think you should find out gender [emoji6] not for me but because maybe you can't get over the emotional hump before delivery [emoji170].
Max embroidery is fun also ! You could embroider baby quilt squares and have them made into a quilt!

Blue- I agree with Ash and I think you are, but I think you need to find out beforehand. I'm so sorry you feel that way!
Max - I do have all my favorite clothes 12 and under to save for my grandchildren and then I have most clothes 2 and up bc that's when I started wondering if I could convince my Hubby for another. Every outfit I've put on my 3 year old lately I'm like I'd really like to use this again [emoji23] And our kiddos live in super hero costumes so you could totally do that with #3. Is your husband wanting a boy or indifferent? Mines saying he wants another girl now but I think it's bc our oldest wants a Sister [emoji175]

Max-Jealous that you're still at the beach! If you have to be stir crazy somewhere, that's the place to be!!! I do hope you have a girl, but if you're tired of the princess phase...I can assure you that you'd have a different experience with a boy...superheroes, cars, trains galore! 🤣If there's a puddle, my boys will find it & jump right in. DIRT, they love playing in dirt! Lol. I'm feeling pretty good at 14 weeks, thanks for asking! My anatomy scan is set for 9/15, always look forward to that appt, but nervous too!

bluebooties i get it i was so done with boys stuff after #4 i really struggled with the idea that #5 could be another boy
just to add you can totally have a baby girl without pink or frilly, i have a friend who had a girl earlier this year after 2 boys and cant stand pink/frilly so her daughter never wears it! she does alot of blue, yellow and stripes/spots, she doesnt seem to struggle to find girls clothes and baby always looks gorgeous :)

Max- I like knitting, but I have to say in my opinion crocheting is much more fun and easier to teach yourself and you can make things much more quickly crocheting than knitting. Either way though both are fun. I taught myself how to do both about 5 or 6 years ago and I am so glad I did it's so fun. I used to embroider as a kid it was fun as well. I would definitely find something fun to do though otherwise it can get boring quickly on bed rest.

maximbella
August 12th, 2017, 03:58 PM
Wow you ladies are so crafty!! How do you embroider? I would love that!! Do you watch YouTube videos to teach yourself how to crochet?

Lola, how exciting!!! That's so soon! I'm so excited for you!

Blue, for what it's worth (and I know I've shared this so many times)....I'm the 3rd of 4 girls. My reason for swaying girl after having two girls already is simply because I want to give my girls the blessing that I have in my sisters. We are so incredibly close, always have been, and our bond grows even stronger over the years as we raise our kids (one sister is here in NYC with me, the others are across the country). To me having same sex children can be one of the biggest blessings for your children as they grow. I also know a lot of boy/girl families that are also very, very close, but wanted to share my perspective in case that brings any comfort at all.

Max embroider is probably the easiest of them all! You can buy fabric kits that have the pattern stamped on them and it tells you what color threads to use and for beginning you can get one that's just "x" s and all you do is sew x's right over the stamped ones on the fabric. Then once your finished and have it quilted then you wash it and the stamped pattern under your stitches will disappear. Super simple lol they started selling them at Walmart here recently.

Blue, I know how you feel. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed at having a 4th, and although I'd never say it out loud, if it's another boy I'll feel that the work and effort would be all for nothing. On the flip side, I'll be so happy my boys have each other.
I'm one that always wished for boys. If i had to choose between all boys or all girls, I would've chosen all boys, so I feel like it's wrong for me to complain now. I was raised around mostly women but I'm not close to any of them. Having my boys I've seen brotherly love and I'm convinced it's a boy thing. I know women can be close, I have a best friend and she's from an all-girl family. I just never wanted that for myself. However, I feel like I can handle one girl. But i do feel selfish for wanting that one girl. What if SHE wants a sister? What will I tell her? "It's not all it's cracked up to be?" I feel like a hypocrite for saying boys make awesome brothers but girls can be solo just fine, but that's truly how I feel. Sometimes I think I'm gonna have a boy just because of my inner feelings.
Sorry if all this is offensive to anyone, I think I just get defensive when people see my three boys and assume I'm trying for a girl. Although I've wanted a girl all along, I truly only want one. I wanted many boys, however. So it's nice to hear different thoughts on what makes up our dream families. Hearing some of you say "I want all girls" doesn't offend me because I know you know what it feels like to want all of one gender and I feel understood.

Max- I bought books at the craft store and watched youtube videos to learn both crochet and knitting. Once you understand the stitches it's pretty simple. I agree with ash that embroidery is the simplest of them all though.☺
Also when you are first learning I would suggest an at least 5.5 mm crochet hook and 4 ply worsted weight yarn or you could do an even larger hook with chunky yarn and a beginners project like maybe a washcloth. And for knitting it seemed easier to learn with larger needles and a chunky 5 or 6 yarn in my opinion.

Babypink & Ash-I have 2 brothers and always liked being the only girl. I wondered what it would be like to have a sister, but never longed for one. Now I have awesome sis in laws on my side of the family that I'm close with [emoji173]

babypink, I totally get that! My sister has 3 boys and 1 girl and she never wanted more girls than that. She loves having her one daughter that she can do girly things with, and also loves all the boy things that she can share with the other three.

Momoffour, I'm going to give it a shot! My mom is bringing some things with her and said she will teach me. I'll post what I make, as long as it's not too embarrassing! ;) I swear I'm the least crafty person out there. I will pay extra just to not have to do anything lol!!

Iwant4, thank you so much for sharing that!! I just googled it! Think it needs to come in food form or vitamin form? I'll check my prenatal to see amounts. Speaking of prenatal, I'm taking one from whole foods that's food based. Think that's good or should I go with something else?

Lola, you're so lucky to get along with your SIL's! Mine are unfortunately not so great...

momoffourboyz
August 13th, 2017, 02:01 PM
Lola- that's great that you get along with your sister in laws so well.☺
Iwant4- thanks for that information. I hadn't heard about vitamin b3 but I had been eating a lot of fortified cereals lately when I couldn't keep anything else down just to try to get some vitamins in.
Max- that's great! I am glad your going to try it. I cant wait to see what you make!☺
Babypink- I never saw myself having anymore kids after my daughter but then an oops happened and here we are but my daughter keeps saying she wants a baby sissy, she's only 2 but she loves girly stuff so I think she'd enjoy having a sister, but she also gets in there with my boys and plays in the mud and plays with cars and stuff and my boys really say they want another sister and no more brothers. But they did say it would be alright if it's another boy. Either way I am happy I am just glad to have another healthy baby in there.
My husband had to 2 sisters and no brothers and his dad died from cancer ( about 5 years ago) when he was 26 and he doesn't have a best friend anymore, and he hasn't been the same since. It hurts me so bad how much it hurts him. He regrets that he never got a brother. So for me I just don't want any of my kiddos left out or to feel like my husband does. But you guys are lucky to have your mom's there to help you out. My mom is sick with MSA (multiple system atrophy) and we don't know how much time she's got left. It's making me very depressed right now so now I know what my husband went through because my mom is my best friend!

sorry to hear about your husbands dad and your mum momof4boyz :( i lost my mum when i was 11 and my dad when i was 16 and ended up living alone after dad died, ending up on my own was a massive contributor to me wanting a huge family, if anything happens to me and dh my kids will never end up alone because they will always have each other xx

4blue2pink- I am sorry that you had to go through that, especially at such a young age.☹That's the exact reason I really want my daughter to have a sister because I always want her to have someone close to her even if something happens to me or my husband.

thankyou momof4 i completely understand, funnily enough when i had #5 who was our first (living) daughter i thought the GD would end, after 4 boys we were having our healthy living girl!.. but after she was born i panicked about her being the only girl, i hadnt foreseen this at all so was not prepared for it. we were very lucky and our first pink sway for #6 worked, i have to say i have been the most content i have ever been family and GD wise since #6 (DD2) was born and i think alot of it is not feeling that any of my kids are on their own, either numbers wise or gender wise. i truly hope you get your second girl so your fears can be put to rest.

It's also the reason I want another girl after such a big gap. I feel like an only boy would be alienated in some way, you know? But overall just praying for healthy...everything else will work itself out. I have to be reminded at times that just because you have the same gender, it doesn't guarantee that they will be close friends. Those bonds form over time and can be equally created with a boy/girl relationship.

Kat, thankfully bleeding has fully stopped, but I've been on pretty much close to bedrest all weekend. I'm praying this is a good sign and that it will continue...my follow up will be on Friday. [emoji120]

Thank you everyone for understanding me and my little rant. It feels good to know you all understand the complexities of GD. I'm also glad to hear that some of you with no same-sex siblings had no desire for one. Not that it's a guarantee or that there's something undesirable about having more than one, but it definitely helps me feel better for wanting just the one.
Only 17 days away from getting some nub guesses! Hopefully it will help ease all this madness in my head!

Yes! Take only the lowest dose you need to relieve your pain. You'll need to back off it slowly if you take it daily, once you start the third trimester (definitely before 30 weeks).

I hope you feel better soon!

Oh, try and hang in there sweetie! It's so hard when we have to care for Little's when we aren't feeling well!

Pop in one of their favorite movies, then set them up with some toys that have been out of rotation, and have pizza delivered for dinner! You'll be their hero! Oh, and make a game out of them doing things to help you and reward them with dessert (my boys loved this when I had severe MS!)! Remember our secret weapon is bribery [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]!

Oh no Ash! That's the worst! Rest and let them destroy the house, or stop them but make the pain worse. Can you head outside and watch them play while you rest? I know what you mean about the heat, you're right. When I sprained my ankle the dr told me that heat helps the pain, but won't allow it to heal. Maybe some arnica cream?

Blue I'd take all the weight loss I could get at this point! I was like this with my first and he was perfectly healthy 6lb 13oz. And I weighed less waking out of the hospital than I did when I got pregnant.
Pbn the chiro I go to does neurological integration system. I think that's what it's called! And he does not pop or crack you he gently massages stuff back into place it's wonderful. Usually when I hurt it as bad as I have today I can walk out of his office walking nearly upright and within 3-4 days am just fine. He did tell me though I'd eventually have to do something else aka surgery. Because the more I keep pushing the discs out of place the weaker they get and it'll keep happening [emoji21]. But I knew I'd have issues coming into this pregnancy since it's been acting up so much recently but I didn't want to bring it up to hubby he'd not wanted ttc. But my body just physically can't handle anymore babies it's gotten worse every time. So the three things I have to look forward to that I need to prioritize is 1. Tubes tied 2. Back surgery and 3. Wisdom teeth pulled [emoji52] because I'm a procrastinator about EVERYTHING related to going to the dr.

Heya ladies,

Ok back in the office – and have a few minutes to type before I dig into my zillion emails again :D
Wow, so much catching up to do – I’m sure I will have missed a gazillion things so apologies if I do forget important or smaller things along the way!

Lola – and others starting school again over in the USA – good luck, am sure routine will be settled in no time and you’ll be good to go!

Max – you’ve been in my thoughts – so happy to see you were able to see bub and confirm it was ok, heart beating away! But also, some support from your family to allow you to rest up as much as possible…will await your update on Friday eagerly (or do you still have your appointment today or am I just confused lol?) !
What kind of business do you run if you don’t mind me asking? (would love to start my own but I know it is so much work too).

Laurel – how cute is the fabric you have ready to sew for your girl! :D love it!

Lola – eeek 15/09 for your next scan? You’ll get to see baby Sophia’s cute little face in detail! :D has the bumps started showing or not quite yet?

Bluebooties – I think your emotions are all normal – it’s a matter of keeping them in check so you don’t get overwhelmed by it all – so if you need, reach out where and when you can – this bub will be a blessing regardless of gender, as much as you fear a potential 4th girl. You will be the best mumma to this babe, as you have been to your 3 others :hugs:

Babypinkn3 – like you, if I had to choose one gender I would have chosen all boys – and wouldn’t mind a girl, provided I had boys before… in my case, that ain’t gonna work with 2 girls already but funny I had the same “view” ^^
Ooh won’t be long before we can start guessing for you – woohoo!

Kat – it’s now mid-August and I think you have your 20 week-scan was it mid-September?? It’s lovely to see how you are able to get excited at the prospect of a potential 3rd girl! Boy or girl, #3 will be going into a lovely family ^^ I’m not yet at that stage, anyways I am yet to comprehend I am actually UTD, probably once we tell the kids will it all be more real ^^

Mommy2apples – I have been away so haven’t really been able to follow what has been going on on the 2ww thread, but I love that you are such a positive soul, baby HAS to come soon, it’ has such a great mum and family waiting for it! Xo

PBN - can’t believe you are over what, 16 weeks now?? How are your boys around the growing belly?

Sky – how are feeling hon? Have you made any decisions re finding out gender – has hubby caved?

Ash – has your pain resolved? Heat definitely helps usually with relieving the pain but to heal cold is actually better I think – Arnica cream or granules if you have them are good ^^
do you have a 20 week scan in the US too? That must be coming up soon, no? :D
Like you can’t wait for that newborn to be in our home – it’s the hardest but it goes by sooo quickly that I miss it in a heartbeat – the smell of newborn skin, the baby so little it fits in your arms so easily, the siblings discovering their new baby sister or brother..ahhhh cluck cluck cluck lol
Like you 4blue2pink, would take that over toddler tantrums anyday haha

SRG – 4th kid – I guess the more you have the more you are chilled too, eh? So I guess it’s bound to be easier in a way, no? (please nobody rain on my parade, I will stay in blissfull ignorance for another little while if not haha).

Iwant4 – I must admit, we were very blessed with the weather while on the Sunny coast – it was just glorious!! ^^ how are you feeling? MS easing up?
When are your next appointments and so forth?

Momoffour, I'm so sorry about your mother and your DH’s experience – musn;t have been easy for sure :hugs: what a beautiful big family you will have :awe:

Dancingdiva – hope you recover soon – sucks being sick while preggo, so little you can do – rest up!!
I think you were asking about next gender reveals – I will get NIPT done the 1st days of September so hope to know by my 1st trim scan on the 19th (and if not, will be fun to guess with the nub – should be 12+5/13 ish) – so just over a month away :)

ASF – back from leave, managed to stump my big toe so bad before driving home yesterday – not sure if it’s broken but man I was on the verge of passing out – fortunately took a Panadol to ease the pain as I had 2 hours of driving home with the DDs at the back – I looked like a senior lady walking to the train this morning haha
And OMG OMG OMG the hunger – just had a light lunch and will have to go out buy something as MS has come back again – I am one hungry monster, it’s terrible it goes nauseous, starving, nauseous, starving – I do try to break up food and graze but that’s not enough (and actually can do a fair few fruit and veg this time which repulsed me last pregnancies) – last night, after having a plentiful sushi dinner (worry not, only the safe ones ^^) after coming home from our break to an empty fridge – a couple of hours later I was lying in bed with my tummy howling, so I ran to the kitchen and made myself a bowl of instant mash potatoes (which I normally keep for emergency emergency nights to feed hungry kids as it’s done in literally 30 seconds lol), and in true preggo style, scoffed in down in bed with a husband laughing his head off at me… at least I was being nice and happy - just hungry - because poor him, I’m having the worst mood swings too :P 8 weeks today if I go by O – cannot wait to see little Bean next week – will be such a change between the last scan and this next one :D

Also, hormones or not, but having big desires for change – I want to clear the house, go green, save the Earth and our wallets – and in that effort, want to start sewing LOL
I have a couple of friends that sew, but they are already quite good so recommended their big expensive machines and overlockers – and doubt I will have time to ever do too big or complex projects but would love to be able to do a bit of clothing for the girls, and accessories, toys etc, do stuff for bub – so was thinking of getting a sewing machine with an overlocker option – not sure that is the real technical term haha (rather than also have an actual overlocker) – any suggestions?? I was thinking of checking out Spotlight but might be better cheaper option elsewhere or online…
Laurelw, I know you sew – would love to hear what you use etc! :D I am a true newbie, never tried ever before so keen to get started asap so I can get myself into gear before bub comes along :D

OK, this has become a 10-part novel so better hit post :P
xx

LMSM I've never heard of arnica I'll have to google it but I do have some bio freeze. Ds1 was a huge help tonight with a little instruction he got the two littles a bath and helped by laying one down to bed! I am actually going backwards as the time goes on it's getting a bit more stiff but I'm going to try n be optimistic and hope for the best with my chiro in the morning. My scan is on the 26th this month and I'm excited to see a more chubby baby this time and confirm girl. I'm still in disbelief. And I do not miss nauseous- starving - nauseous - starving!! This is how I was exactly with ds3 and 4 and I gained sooooo much weight. I'm not on much of a better schedule now but at least the weight isn't out of control yet! Hope it eases up for you soon

Oh how sweet of your eldest to have helped so much – I hope you get better soon – being in so much pain is so debilitating! Arnica is a homeopathic remedy – not sure how readily available it is in the US but worth checking out ^^ if you can muster the strength for a warm bath (and someone can help you out), could help relieve some of the tension at least – worse comes to worse, a nice warm long shower?
OMG so soon for your next scan then – eeeek!! No wonder you’re in disbelief – a girl after 4 boys, I would be too! But she is here to stay –did you settle on a name for her? :D
Yikes – don’t scare me chicky - I already gained so much weight with the girls (respectively 18/19kg ish and 15kg ish – so what, 35/40 and 30 pounds ish??) – and started this pregnancy with more weight on than the two others that this regime scares me – I feel so fat already haha – I have promised myself that once MS eases, it will be healthy healthy healthy diet – and once I get the all clear to exercise (hopefully if the hematoma has subsided) then I will get my jelly moving more – my back is so bad as it is (scoliosis) so too much weight gain isn’t good!

hope your back gets better soon ash, my friend has bulging discs as well as a degenerative disc disease but doesnt yet want the surgery and finds the only thing that keeps her pain free is acupuncture, so much so that she has re-trained as an acupuncturist and started her own business!

My anatomy scan is in less than three hours. I know it's a girl, but I've allowed myself to hope a little. Ugh. I hate that I've allowed those thoughts in because I'm afraid it's going to make the disappointment so much worse. Because we've had tragedy, I know that healthy is all that matters, but the finality of this being my last pregnancy had really been setting in lately. Thanks for letting me vent.

LMSM scoliosis sounds painful. I think mine is stemming from working in a nursing home when I was 16-17 and using bad form to move and lay down the patients. If I only knew then what I know now! But my mom does have arthritis in her back and degenerative bone disease and my dad just had back surgery for ruptured disks about 2 weeks ago so I guess I come by it naturally. We haven't settled on a name yet but we like Esmae. We usually wait to settle until their born so we can see what they look like.
Pbn cute what ds1 said [emoji38].
Went to the chiro and he said it's my sacrum (tailbone I think) popping out and then all my muscles squeezing tight around it to further protect my back from anymore damage. So he fixed me and said in 2-3 days I should be fine again. Until next time. [emoji53]

We're having a heart echo too, I think, which is why we waited until almost 22 weeks. Everything looked good at 12 weeks, growth was in target too. My heart baby was already measuring almost two weeks behind at 13 weeks, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. Of course, there's a possibility for a smaller defect.

glad your sorted out ash that sounds horrible, fingers crossed you can get through the rest of your pregnancy without it happening again, have you had problems with your tailbone after delivery with any of your babies? mine got bent upwards by DS3's very quick arrival and i was in agony for a few days :( thankfully it sorted itself out fairly quick and didnt happen with 4,5 or 6

4blue2pink
August 15th, 2017, 01:04 PM
i understand why you feel that srg but you never know.. there have been a few nub shots on here taken well into 13th week which looked 100% girl, literally as girly as a nub could ever be yet they turned out to be boys, fingers crossed for you to hear both healthy and blue xx

4blue2pink from what I understand that's what's happening here with the tailbone. I've never had it act up during delivery so hopefully I'll be good this time also. And I'd love to make it through the rest of this pregnancy without it happening but the last time I was in to see him was June so it's not looking to hopeful

Srg, for what it's worth, my college roommate was told girl at her nub shot. She was so excited, picked out her nursery, told everyone, etc....then the anatomy scan showed boy. He's 8 now and ALL boy! There's still a chance. Fingers crossed for you!!!

Pbn, your son sounds so sweet! Love that!!

Ash, feel better hon!

LMSM, sorry about your toe, ouch!! How are you feeling? My sister also said that with her 3 boys she was starving all the time and it was so different with her girl. Maybe that's a sign it's your boy? :)

Lola, hope you're enjoying being back at work!

Someone asked me and I can't remember who, but I'm in finance and own my own outsourcing firm. I work on a consulting basis, which is amazing because I can work for a few months and then take off a few months. I worked at an investment bank previously and it was the WORST time of my life...vowed never to go back! ;)

LMSM - Aloha! I’m not sure the last time you’ve probably seen anything I’ve posted about myself. Maybe my last appointment almost 4 weeks ago this Saturday. I have my normal check up and Harmony test this Saturday. I’ve been more busy with my kiddos back in school. My DS2 started kindergarten last week, and my DS1 started 5th grade. It’s just me and DS3 keeping me company. Hubs is back in Korea till September. How are you feeling besides being a bottomless pit?

Mommy2apples - Sometimes you have to let go and let God :) I’m sill excited for the day you get your BFP! FX so hard for you girl! My youngest has been kinda sad, kinda lonely without DS2 :( I want to look into Gymboree play and learn, but he’s pretty shy around other kids. I just want to try and keep him busy as possible. I still watch my DS2 walk into the school and can’t believe he’s a kindergartener. He’s so small compared to most of the kiddos in his class. We had issues with him not remembering to get lunch, but he’s working on it..hopefully :) My 5th grader got the most hippie male teacher possible. He allows to kids to sit wherever they want, and my son shouldn’t have that choice lol How are your kids? They started school last week or this week? Will you be scheduling your son for his surgery now that school started back?

Mommy2apples
August 15th, 2017, 07:14 PM
Definitely nacire! God has this all in his timing for sure!

Aww hate that your little guy is sad, I bet mine will
Be when kolton goes to school. They are best friends!
Same with kolton he is really shy, but maybe it will do your little guy down good? Never know! Would you be able to go with him!
Aww@him being so tiny! So hopefully the lunch thing definitely gets all worked out!
Lol your 5th grader sounds likes my third grader she makes friends and is such a talker!

My kids are doing good. They start the 23rd! My little guy's eye surgery is all set for the 29th of September! So scared about it, but know god has that too and all will be good!

Mommy2apples - I hate that he’s so alone, but Luca and DS2 are just like your two boys. They are the best of friends. Yesterday we walked to the school and when he saw DS2 coming down the hill he started running to hug him :) I swear this pregnancy I’m so disconnected and have zero emotion or I could just cry lol. Omgosh my 5th grader is such a talker/story teller. He likes to be liked and just want to make friends. Your son will be just fine with the surgery. Don’t stress out about it to much. September 29th is just around the corner. Will it be one day surgery or will he stay in the hospital for a little while?

Nacire! Love their bond for sure! I know you do as well! Is great they will always have a friend! Mine are 28 months apart! Love their age gap! That is so cute he gives him hugs when he finally sees him for the day!
Same with ash makes friends wherever she goes!
It will
Be a one day surgery. Then he can come home shortly after! Glad they are doing it with the fall, because I have to keep him out of water and dirt for a week. So should be cooler by then for sure and easier to keep him in the house.
Max that's great she overcame her shyness that way!! That's what I am hoping preschool will do for my four year old!

Pbn feeling any kicks yet? Here this past week I can feel her kicking up a storm and when dh or one of the boys talks close to my belly she always kicks a bunch. Ladies, how long did your MS last? This is the first pregnancy I've had where it's lingered around all day. I don't ever get to the point of throwing up, I just sit around and feel miserable until it passes. Morning all!

Oooh PBN – first real kick, how excitiiiiiing!!!

Nacire – so happy to read you – some milestones coming up, for the NIPT is it to get the results or the blood drawn?
It must be super busy indeed with your eldest two starting school, and hubby being away etc – you’re a wonder mamma, am sure you will ace it! I hear you regarding your littlest being upset that his brother suddenly isn’t there during the day – am sure he will get used to it, kids are so flexible and resilient, much more than what we often think ^^ He will have loads of one on one fun times with mummy and if you can go out and find some interesting social activities, he will bloom too <3
Otherwise, I’m good thanks – a nauseous bottomless pit lol – but ok – just the usual plain exhaustion of early pregnancy with two young lively kids and work ^^
The one that’s upset is DH, there’s been no sex since BFP – bar a few kinky nights, but he is so frisky and I am so nauseous and tired (and well progesterone pessaries don’t help :P ) and frankly , the mere thought of intimacy almost disgusts me atm (cuddles and kisses I love but anything remotely sexual I just can’t bear right now)– feel so sorry for him, but just can’t force myself…so not fun on that front – wife guilt big time!

Ash, how is your back hon??

Iwant4 – I never have time for TV anymore these days, did watch Offspring some years ago when it started but then, kids, no time, meh lol

Mommy – good luck in advance for your little man’s eye surgery next month – am sure it will go smoothly – you have time to prep him about it all so it’s all sort of familiar already by the time D day comes around!
I think you’re in the tww now, is that right??!

DD – you’re right, Sumbal should know gender by know I would think
..
Sumbal if you are reading this, come and give us some news!!! ;)

That’s exactly how I feel babypinkn3! For my girls I’d say by about 14 weeks it was pretty much over- then heartburn took over haha

Hi to all others, back to work for me now ^^

AshFind

Babypink mine was all day long until 13 weeks when I had enough and called the dr. Now I'm doing 1/2 unisom (was doing full till I got it under control) at night and 3 vit. B6 throughout the day and I finally feel better. If I skip my unisom it's a guarantee I throw up the next morning!
NACIRE my hubby is gone a lot with work also! Routine def. helps and so does my ds1! I went to the chiro yesterday and he got me back into place so I'm just dealing with sore muscles now and feel better for the most part it's amazing what he can do!
LMSM much better thanks! My chiro is a miracle worker! I hear you on the sex lol my poor dh he feels used with so much sex during ttc then nothing [emoji38]. But I do try to give in every other night at least because he's gone so much at work I know (deep down) he wouldn't go elsewhere for it but I feel so fat and pregnant and nasty right now I at least try to keep him satisfied. But I've been dealing with yeast inf. Galore this pregnancy it's insane! And annoying!

LMSM, yep, I got a good dose of heartburn yesterday so I'm sure that's gonna start soon too. Luckily I found my psibands which seem to be working. I don't know why I didn't think of it until now. I used them for dizziness in the past and thought that's all they were good for.
I'm exactly the same with DH right now. Luckily he doesn't seem to mind too much since he's been working long hours, but I just can't stand him being so close to me when I'm dealing with nausea, hot flashes, and general tiredness. Oh well. they'll just have to deal.

If so, have mine in the car and forgot them this morning when I parked the car to get on the train, so am looking forward to getting them when I get home this evening, as it seems to ease the nausea just a slight bit (placebo or not, who knows!?).

Ash – So glad you’re feeling better!! ….wow, every 2 days, man, my hubby would love that - your hubby is lucky! haha Especially if you have YI regularly, as those don’t make it comfortable! Mine’s had one “dry” month and as much as he is understanding and not pressuring, I know he is beyond keen – and I too sometimes think I should satisfy him to ensure he wouldn’t go elsewhere (though I know he would never) – but it’s just too much for me to bear, blah. Admittedly, with the hematoma, am extra wary of intercourse anyways, so even if I felt frisky may not have wanted to tempt it (and frankly, the pessaries in my va jay jay twice a day don’t make me want anything else go in there lol).
As you say Babypink, they’ll just have to deal :P

Ash your amazing your husband is very lucky!! soon as i get pregnant i lose all sex drive :-/ i could quite happily go the whole 9 months without it!!

srg im sorry you didnt hear boy :( when you've lost a baby of your desired gender it makes it all so much harder to deal with, i hope you are ok xx

who is next for gender? Max are you still planning on having the NIPT done?

Ash you're amazing, wish I could keep up with every 2 days. I'm on full pelvic rest and DH is already getting antsy. [emoji51]

I go in tomorrow at 9am for my ultrasound follow up for the hematoma and then meet with the doctor at 1pm to discuss. Really praying to see a heartbeat and a shrinking hematoma. [emoji120] I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow and will have the tests done at 10 weeks, although I can't recall what the doctor called them. It's a blood test.

good luck for tomorrow Max <3 thats a very long wait from your scan to your meeting with the Dr, NIPT is the early blood test that checks for certain abnormalities but it also gives you the gender with i think something like 99.5% accuracy! i couldnt remember if you were going for it or not?
the fact your bleeding stopped and has stayed away has to be a good sign, i'll be thinking of you, fingers crossed for a strong heartbeat xx

maximbella

Thank you so much 4blue! I know, what a wait right?! That's the only time they could schedule me, unfortunately! I'll definitely be doing that test. I want to know as much as I can as early as I can! :) I'm also hoping that the fact that the bleeding has stopped is a good sign, but then I also wondered if bleeding it out would also be good. I'm avoiding google searches because some of the stories were devastating...I'm taking this one day at a time!

Hi!! Taking a moment from the craziness to check updates!! Today was the 1st day back for students...my 13th year! Now, I'm waiting in my car to go to DS1's 4K "Meet the Teacher." My baby is growing up! We get Monday off for the the total solar eclipse!! Anyone else in the path of totality?
Max-I will say a little prayer for you! Everything is going to be great & then in just 2 weeks the NIPT yay...you'll know gender soon!!
Pbn & Ash-yay for feeling little kicks! It's so awesome knowing they're busy moving around in there!
Babypink-hope the MS eases up soon! I have been lucky to not have much MS this time. I can relate to the eating/bloated feeling. Sometimes I feel so hungry that it feels like a hole in my stomach & then other times I feel so full I can't breathe!!

I guess ppl are renting their houses for $10k [emoji50] and they're having Ozzy Osborne and all these raves and stuff.... and they've not canceled our school. But I also wouldn't dare drive to the location I'm sure it'll be dangerous.

Lola - we are several miles the the path of totality and are expecting it to be crazy. We have not started school yet, so that will be good. I don't work on Mondays so we are just planning to have a picnic in the back year and I have the special glasses so the kids can see it. It should be fun. I find it interesting that my midwife office is closed on Monday. I wonder if they expect more babies to be born because of the eclipse ;)

AFM - I am still sick with MS and am miserable if I forget the Unisom. Last night DS3 (4yo) was having diarrhea and missed a little. I felt so bad for him because he was having to clean it up as I was doing what I could to help him from the hallway as I was dry heaving non-stop. I quickly put him in the bath and got DH to help. It was NOT pleasant, but I could not handle it at all. Sucks. I took the morning off from work since I was up most of the night, but I have to save my time for when the baby comes, so here I am struggling through the afternoon at work. At least DS3 is feeling lots better today. Praying no one else gets this tummy bug. It is going around the daycare. :(

Max- glad to hear things are looking good! Brown blood is old blood and it will still pass but if it's getting smaller and the blood is brown then it's probably not actively bleeding, which is good. The blood has to come out or it will continue to irritate your uterus. You are already doing better than I was even at my second scan. First, I had bleeding, went in hematoma was already large had my second appointment a week later and it had gotten even bigger, then 3rd appointment it finally got a tiny bit smaller and went down from there, but I was also throwing up severely still and they think that was making it worse. Anyway, I am just so glad that your baby is doing so well. Keep resting and doing what you're doing because it seems to be working.☺ Thanks for keeping us updated, and I hope you continue to do so. Still keeping you in my prayers. God is good and things will be ok.☺

You ladies are so great, thank you so much!! I really do mean that...it's so encouraging to see your kind words! I just got done with everything...so good news is that it's "slighting" shrinking, bad news is that I'm still on bed rest. The doctor showed that the hematoma looked black on the screen, which usually indicates blood that is old (grayish looking images are more fresh blood, who knew?! And I might have that backwards as DD's were going crazy in the room LOL). Anyway, I'm very thankful to have seen the baby and interestingly enough, the heart rate from last Friday to today is exactly what DD1 was (112 and 163!). Hard to believe! Their birthdays will also be (knock on wood) less than 2 weeks apart. The doctor said theres no way to tell gender via Ramzi (she shot it down, as did Atomic), but we are doing the blood test in 2 weeks to know. Can't believe it's so soon! We also have to do genetic bloodwork testing for things that I didn't get tested for when we were trying for DD1. So much has changed. Praying that all is okay! Next appointment with OB is Tuesday. I guess I'll be seen frequently.

Shan, hope that you're starting to feel better! Sorry about DS, that's the worst!

Momoffour, thank you for sharing your experiences with me. It's so reassuring to hear from someone that went on to a successful delivery...the stories online can be so terrifying!

Kat, let me know if you find a nursing tank or bra that works well. I also have large breasts and it's hard for me to find things that look good and offer support!

Hope everyone else is feeling good! Bed rest is going to be the end of me...I'm SO ready to work out again!!! And my belly popped, will upload a pic tonight. :)

Thank you so much ladies!!!

We were supposed to go to LA next week to take the girls to Disney, but had to cancel because I can't fly. I was thinking of getting one of those scooters to get around if we went, but doctor won't allow the long flight. I'm not opposed to getting one of those if it means that I can get out and about! Just a quick post to say yay Max, so happy bean is ok, how cute is it?! :D I know bed rest sucks, but look at it as an opportunity to do things you can't otherwise... :)
Sorry to be so brief, MS is on with a vengeance, so much so I had my first vomit this am after trying to be intimate with DH..the smell of erm semen just set it off so had to run to the bathroom :( poor him, he probably feels rejected:(

Anyways, have a lovely weekend ahead, and hope to catch up with you all next week in more length...especially once my in laws go on Wednesday (my parents left yesterday, always makes me so sad, especially because of the girls..M gave my mum a couple of her favorite toys to take back home "because I love you Nanna" I had to hold back tears!).

Mwah!

Shan I've had a bad day of ms all day! Horrible I missed my unisom last night and woke up early since it was first day of school. I think it was a tough combo of both!
Lola I've read it has something to do with gravity. I've only slightly looked into it. I should see when a full moon is around this dd time.
LMSM [emoji23] mine wants bj ( sorry tmi) in the am and the smell of my own breath/saliva makes me barf 🤢! Can't do it!! Awww do you live far from your parents?

Oh and yep def doing NIPT! Will go in for the bloods in a couple of weeks ;)

Ash, so couldn't do BJs haha I p'd gag so bad and just vomit then and there lmao
My parents are in France and we're in Oz..so 17,000km apart! ;)

My dd1 stunned me at lunch..I went to put DD2 for a nap, my in laws and hubby were having some cheese with her, and DH and in laws were having a glass of red wine...when I got back to the table, M turns to me and says, out of the blue "when you have a baby in your tummy you can't drink wine"... me, erm yes you're right love, though mummy is not feeling great so she doesn't feel like wine, that can be why too people don't drink too... I think she suspects /feels what is happening, clever cookie :)

Oh sumbal. Sorry you heard girl. It's pretty accurate at 17 weeks. Glad baby is OK though. No successful boy sways so far....makes my hope grow smaller each time for mine to work.
And the fact that I plan everything and when it doesn't go the way I plan I get so disappointed is an understatement.

Blue - I have my 16 week appointment this Wednesday and I'll schedule the big 20 weeks 4 weeks from then, so thinking Sept 18th week. We are going to the beach that week so I might have to wait until the following week. Isn't yours about the same time? I was only on he diet 4 weeks if I'm honest about it. I'm getting more and more excited about a 3rd girl though. I talked with someone I work with yesterday that has 3 girls with my age spacing, hers are now 6, 10, and 13 and actually got me excited about having a 3rd girl bc she was saying how close her 2nd two are which surprised me bc they are 4 years apart. But, the day before I saw football players going to practice and made me long for a son.
It's crazy Max/LSMS might know before me.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkYes mine is September 22nd for now. However i will be too scared to open the envelope that very day to be honest so hopefully soon after i will read it. I guess what's done is done and i will get what has been destined for me. Delaying or avoiding the truth won't change it.

I worry the most about the physical and financial burdens of a 4th kid boy or girl, in terms of private schooling etc and being able to give them mommy time. I am sad that my older 2 are needing to make sacrifices on behalf of their increasing no. Of siblings. E.g. we r going to have to give up on ice skating etc as i simply cannot drag 4 kids around from one practice to another. And no more extra splurging on vacations and birthdays for them as opposed to before.

sumbal im sorry to hear that you were told girl, i hope you are ok xx

bluebooties i think its a similar story with all larger families, we have to have a whole family (8 people) trip every wednesday evening just for our 4 boys swimming lessons and as for holidays we will have to remain in the UK so i totally understand where you are coming from.
but on the other hand there is a saying that is very popular among larger families im not sure where it originated but ive seen it posted about online a lot "the greatest gift you can give you children is another sibling" the way i see it holidays and extra presents etc are nice :) but at the end of the day they are just "stuff" extra "things" if you like.. where as a brother or a sister is someone who is a part of your family for life and i dont know anyone who would trade their family for "things" your girls are getting a brother or another sister who will be a bigger part of their lives and childhood memories than any holiday or birthday present could ever be :)
if you haven't seen any of the posts Maximbella has done about her being one of 4 kids and how the bond between her and her sisters is then id say have a read, the ones on her sway post really helped me to feel i am doing the right thing by bringing another sibling into my childrens lives xx

Ash - I bought tons of used maternity stuff from a friend bc I sold all mine. But I got 40/50 pieces for $200 and I tried on/looked at everything today and it was so fun. I swear her maternity stuff is cuter than my normal stuff. You know I work outside the home though so I have to dress up everyday. Anyways, I'm excited to wear it and it won't be long. It's funny wearing someone else's clothes bc it's not what I would've picked out but so cute. Hers is all black, gray, cream. I'm more of a color kinda gal but this will be a fun change.
Of course I'll look though [emoji23] Even though I need nada!
After I told y'all to look at lyndsay and company I'm kinda "put off" by how much clothes she buys and how much time she's on Instagram. Seems a tad superficial for my liking, but if I buy 1 thing outta her 20 I guess I'm ok [emoji5]

Aloha!! The majority of you don't know me, so I guess this post is for the few ladies who followed my pregnancy. I will try to spare you as much details (but I'm lonely and have no one to tell my heart to) and tell you exactly what I want you to know right now.

I started feeling kind of off since last Sunday. That feeling like your going to start your period. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I started spotting really brown old blood. I assumed it was from my hematoma that was detected in an earlier ultrasound. I never had issues with it. It was pretty small in size. My doctor warned me if I started bleeding not to be alarmed. Late Wednesday afternoon I started experiencing really bad contractions that came every 3-5 minutes lasting 15-20 seconds. I swear it felt just like I was in labor. I tried taking Tylenol but nothing helped the pain I was in. This proceeded well into Thursday night. The bleeding got heavier, bright red and I started clotting really bad. The clots had to be the size of my fist. Friday morning the bleeding started to slow down. I still kept telling myself this was the hematoma and I bet it’s gone or almost gone now..

I went in for my 11/12 week check up, and Harmony blood work this morning at 8am. When I arrived to the office they asked me to pee in a cup. I just knew if I let the pee ****** out something was going to fall out of me. The gestational sac fell into the toilet.... I didn't know what to do so I scooped it up and wrapped it in tissue (I've read people feeling regret flushing it down the toilet). I never experienced a miscarriage before. The doctor did the ultrasound and my once full uterus was now empty.. I feel so hurt, alone (my husband is in Korea), crushed, sadness, anger.. I'm hurt because I never knew my 5 yr old comprehended death... He watched the ultrasound and rubbed my arm and said I'm so sorry mommy :(. My husband called to check up and he told his daddy that the baby died.. The doctor said it’s not my fault, and most times something was wrong chromosome wise and my body did what it was suppose to. He thinks the baby passed a week ago.
Sorry this is all over the place because I'm typing as fast as my feelings are letting me..
