Yes
DIET
Did you follow a diet plan?
Yes
If yes to diet, which one did you most follow? LE(Low Everything)
Comments regarding DW's diet changes-
Went mostly vegetarian except occasional chicken and salmon. Added in one full fat dairy serving to help with delayed ovulation. I also ate eggs for breakfast daily, which I have done for over a decade. Otherwise tried to keep a LE diet and reduced tomatoes and bananas, although I still occasionally ate them. Drank one diet coke a day, 2 cups of coffee, and red wine at night. Took the same prenatal that I used with both DD's that contained DHA.
If diet was used, length of time before attempt?
Approx. 8 months
Did you skip breakfast regularly?
No
Did DH change his diet with you?
No
Comments regarding DH's diet-
DH eats a very, very clean diet - mostly lean meats and protein, lots of veggies/fruit, and low gylcemic carbs. Drinks lots of coffee/tea and vodka/soda.
DId you consume alcohol? Often- daily
DId you try to limit caffeine?
No, I drink caffeine regularly
Any Diet Details?
-
Any Diet Comments/Additional Info?
The major difference I made between prior diet and the LE diet is cutting snacks. I'm typically a grazer, but tried to stick to 3 meals with one small snack several hours before dinner. I naturally eat mostly vegetarian, but did also try to decrease my protein intake (cut protein shakes, etc.).
WEIGHT AND EXERCISE
What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O?
112 pounds, BMI 18.6
Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments?
I have a naturally small frame and have always done weight training to gain muscle and weight. I continued to do this throughout my sway, mostly via barbell strength training and barre classes. I also tried to integrate spin classes and walking/running for cardio, but did not get a full 60 minutes.

THE DEED INFO
DH Info about Swimmers BD every few days
BD Position

Did you Jump and Dump? Yes
Any relevant attempt details?
This was my first medicated cycle and we wanted to get two attempts in. We BD every 4 days prior, but did 0-1 and morning after O day (attempts about 36 hours apart) to try to get 2 attempts. Also did an immediate J&D with both attempts.
SUPPLEMENTS USED
DW Supplements Clomid
DH Supplements
-
Any additional supplement info?
First medicated cycle on Femara - 5mg on CD3-7.
Did you do anything with Ions?
-
Moon Phase during conception?
Full Moon
Did you use any Old Wives Tales?
Painted nails (pink) :)
Things that make me feel great about my sway:
I believe that I have a naturally pink diet and tried to maintain the things that I did previously, but also integrated the LE/vegetarian diet and cut out snacking. First medicated cycle on Femara, and husband on SSRI, both that possibly sway pink.
Things that make me nervous about my sway:
This was our first cycle adding in two attempts 36 hours apart. I also weight trained instead of doing cardio.
Things worth mentioning:
I feel very blessed to be pregnant after so many failed cycles. Whatever the gender outcome, we pray for a healthy baby and look so forward to growing our family.

Congratulations!!!
I see you have two girls already- could I ask if it's that you want another girl or that you don't want a boy? Or neither of those things
Sorry to pry- was just interested. But please feel free to ignore me if that's a rude question xx
Sorry I wouldn't ask strangers questions like that in real life! Just feel on here we can be a bit more free to ask gender questions as it's why we're all here!

Hi pink, thank you! Don't apologize, happy to answer! I'm from a family of four girls and am extremely close with my sisters. We weren't swaying with either of our daughters, but were blessed with two girls. After seeing their bond form over the years, I would love to add another sister to the mix so that they can experience the relationships and closeness that I still have with my sisters today. Not to say that couldn't happen with a boy, but we do have a rather large age gap now (my girls are 19 months apart and will be 6 & 8 years old when this one is born) and I worried that a boy that is much younger than his two older sisters would feel a bit alienated, especially since there is ZERO shot that I can get DH onboard for another one after this. We feel so blessed to be pregnant and praying for healthy, regardless of gender, but again would love to give our girls another sister if it's meant to be. :)

i love seeing you write about how close you are with your sisters Max it helps me to feel that i am doing the right thing in swaying and so badly wanting sisters for my girls, so many people said we should stop at 1 girl (4 boys 1 girl) because she would be the only one and special etc etc but that didnt feel right to me at all, we have 4 boys and they are so close with one another, i truly hope i can give my girls the same :)

That's what I want 4blue2pink a baby sister for my little girl. I have three boys, so we need another girl for a tiny bit of balance.

Love that 4blue! I love seeing and hearing about the closeness of everyone's family dynamics! I've never experienced having a son and I'm sure that my girls would love a little brother endlessly (and I'm positive that my husband would LOVE the experience as well), but I just know my experience and would love to have my girls experience the same with another sister. That said, I know families where the opposite genders are closer than the same sex genders, there are so many variables and it's not guaranteed that they will share the same dynamics as we had growing up, but all things being equal I love the same sex friendships that can form and grow over the years! :)

mommy2 i get that completely, it isnt about just having 1 girl is it, its wanting to give her the same-sex sibling bonds that your boys are already enjoying :) like you said balance things a little too!
max im with you 100% i have both genders and my boys and girls are very close to one another which is so lovely! but i have a feeling the same gender siblings will probably get a bit closer than the opposite gender siblings as they get older, but that could be due to how our family is set out, 4 boys in a row followed by 2 girls in a row so gender wise they are in blocks! i worry another boy now would be separated age-wise from his brothers just a bit too much.. and id love my girls to have their own group, i think what it comes down too for me is wanting to give my girls what my boys already have :)

Good luck for pink! I think that's really cute and awesome that you want that for your girls ! How did you get your husband on board with the sway and for all girls? I am ttc my first and I really want a girl, but I'm pretty sure my husband would really want a boy lol. Having all girls sounds pretty good to me though!!!

Hi xx! DH would love a boy, but he really, really loves having his little girls also. I think he was impartial, so it was mostly me swaying. I didn't have to change too much other than cutting snacks and going slightly more vegetarian, so I'm not sure he was too aware that I was swaying. We also typically BD every 3-4 days (sometimes longer), so that party was easy for us as well. :)

Love reading your reasoning for another girl maximbella. That is exactly how I feel and why I am wanting another girl.
I am an only girl from a big family of boy siblings who I love dearly and we were close growing up. It's just now as we are older I would love to have that sister relationship/bond.

Wanting to update. NIPT confirmed our baby is healthy and a boy. I gave the sway my absolute best and although I'm still in shock and trying to process it, I do believe that this little guy beat all the odds to be with us. I'm coping with some GD at the moment, but praying that it resolves quickly and I can start to get excited about a little man joining our family. [emoji175]

I'm very pleased to hear your little bubs is healthy. I'm sorry that you are dealing with some GD atm but you gave your sway your all and this little boys is so strong and determined. I hope you get through this phase quickly. Know it doesn't help you but as a mum to two little girls also seeing that it is possible to have a little boy after offers me some hope.

Max, I am sorry you didn't get another girl. My only advice is too try and put the idea of gender aside. If you can afford to have an elective ultrasound, it helps with bonding with your baby, seeing how cute they are, those little lips, button nose, fingers and toes, all those special little feature that you created. They are so incredibly cute to watch during a scan.
I suffered really bad GD with my second boy, but once he arrived, his gender didn't matter, he was an innocent Bub who needed his mum. He is the most loving, sweet child.
Don't worry about feeling guilty, it's normal and you are allowed to be upset. Hugs x

If you got a little boy after such a great sway he has got to be meant to be! I also come from a 4 girl family and I always wanted a brother and didnt get along with my younger sister at all. My husband on the other hand has 2 older sisters and they are all sooo close! Every scenerio is different but I believe onces you feel that mother son bond and see how much your girls love him evrything will change for you!

Give yourself some time Max. This is a major gear shift for you. It may take until you meet him for you to feel and understand that he is just what you and your family needs! We do know that he fought against some pretty high odds to come to you! That should give you pause. Anyone who fights that hard to be with you is pretty special and one who loves you very much already. I would give anything to be a fly on the wall when you lay eyes on him for the first time, because it will be one of those surreal moments that will be forever etched into your soul.
Until then, take this time to process and vent. Know you did everything in your power that you could. And buy all the cute preppy outfits you can find for this little dapper fella! I love me a little polished and preppy boy [emoji4][emoji170]!!

It may take time, even longer than you hope, to feel better about your little man but you will come to realize he really was meant to be and your girls will be amazing big sisters to him! Congrats on your little one.

Maxim, I'm so sorry you didn't get your third girl. Your sway looked great, too. During my first pregnancy I couldn't fathom having a son. I have three sisters as well, and the thought of having a boy was just unbelievable. I was so convinced I would have daughters. When he was born and was very much a boy, I was shocked. But I honestly didn't care either, and fell head over heels for him. He's almost 4 now and as sappy as it sounds, he's the love of my life. Once you meet your little guy you will adore him and so will his big sisters!
