View Full Version : No ovulation on 3rd round of clomid?

This is my 3rd round of clomid (I took for sway purposes) and I'm on CD 19 with still no peak ovulation on clear blue digital test! I've ovulated CD 14 the other 2 cycles. Does this mean I'm not ovulating this cycle?
This is my last round of clomid so I'm super upset and confused---I've always ovulated prior and now possibly no ovulation on clomid?
Is it possible to miss the peak on the clear blue digital monitors? I started testing CD 10 and tested 2 sometimes 3 times a day...and I've had a flashing smiley face (high) for 9 days! I have a 29 day cycle and took clomid days 3-7

Thanks so much for your help! J

No, this doesn't mean you aren't ovulating. You may have ovulated and missed the peak (and I hope you had some attempts in there!) or it may be coming later this month. Clomid can cause your O to move around, that's ok, we've had some people who had late ovulation on Clomid and did indeed still conceive (and conceived girls too!)

You absolutely can miss the peak on Clearblue. It happens regularly, the monitor just stays on "high" and never goes to peak.

What I want you to do (and I hope you were doing this all along) is have sex every 4 days from here on in. This will cover you regardless of when the egg shows up. Next month (which hopefully there will not even be a next month!) start every 4 days after your period ends and keep going until you're sure you have ovulated, even if this means going straight through until your next period begins!!!

Thanks Atomic! I've always gotten a peak with the digital test so I just assumed I wasn't ovulating. Ugh, now I'm afraid if I did ovulate that we did it too much. We started E4d and kind of ended up with more attempts because I assumed I wouldn't ovulate till day 14/15 like before.

We did it cd 7 (last pill of clomid), cd 9, cd 12, CD 15, 16, and 18

I think if I ovulated it would have been earlier in my cycle as I cm went really creamy maybe around cd16?
Is this too many attempts? [emoji30] I didn't want another summer baby and this was my last round of clomid so I was really wanting it to work and so the e4d and one more attempt at positive opk but that didn't happen so, my patten kinda went different than expected

Oh, and I got low fertility CD 10 & 11 and then a high on CD 12...so I felt like my only real possible attempts that might work were CD 12,15, 16? Since ovulation doesn't happen till 5 days after the last clomid pill right? Which would have been CD12

Clomid changes stuff. It does that. :)

I cannot tell you from here when you ovulated. I'd suspect that somewhere between CD 12 and CD 16 you Oed but I cannot (and won't LOL) guess at any closer than that.

No, not too many attempts, that is pretty much e4d plus one. :agree:

Ovulation takes place anywhere from 5-10 days after Clomid so I suspect CD 13/14 but could have been CD 15/16 or even beyond. I think you're in with a well timed attempt no matter what.

Thanks so much! My OB just emailed me last night and said I had a super ovulation! Not sure what that means but It's good news that I did indeed ovulate! Wish I would have known the day I ovulated to avoid too many attempts. Guess it's too late now, so hope it worked!

nice!! That's great news and please don't worry about the attempts, if you don't have sex, you can't get pregnant!!

So I'm 2 days away from AF and I got a faint positive pregnancy test yesterday and today! So I guess that means I'm pregnant! Thanks so much for all your help!

Yes, but be sure you're doing it at another time of day aside from when you're taking prenatals as they can absorb some nutrients in the prenatals.

Woohoo!! Huge congrats!!

Thank you!! I've been having a lot of cramping today and bloating. And yesterday it was lots of pinching and stretching cramps. I don't remember feeling this with my last 3 pregnancies. Is this something to worry about? Or normal? Thanks again so much :)

Totally normal. I swear our bodies like to put us through the symptoms more and more with each subsequent pregnancy.
