Sorry for this silly question but i am new to this and have never used opks until now (swaying) o have pcos and always had cycles around 30-35 days long. I finally caught my positive opk today at day 22 and since having a google ive come across lots of posts saying this is bad and means the egg is poor quality if you ovulate this late?

Is this true? I'm just happy I'm ovulating but a little worried now that even so, it may not be a good thing?

X

Not with your cycles being 30-35 days long. You should be fine!

Nope.

Some people on the Internet like to give false information because they get their jollies off terrifying people or because they make money that way by selling herbs and potions that are supposedly going to "fix" this "issue" (and 9 times out of 10 the herbs and potions make it worse).

Ovulating on CD 21 is considered entirely in NORMAL range, not even late. One day past normal range is nothing to worry about at all. The only people who ever have this concern are people who are going months and months (and I mean like 4-6 months) with no ovulation and probably not even for them is it a problem.

All three of my boys were conceived from O between cd20-25 and they're perfectly healthy. Totally normal to ovulate around then esp if that's when you normally do. If your cycles are usually around 35 days long and you're ovulating around cd22 or 23, then that's just fine because then you'd have a 12 or 13 day luteal phase.
