Please help with a diet for DH.

I've been neglecting him for years lol I want to start making him his lunches for work cause he just doesn't eat much if I don't make him anything cause he doesn't have time to get something or sometimes is to busy to go to the shop.

Is it correct that skipping meals can cause low testosterone? I read that somewhere. Anyway currently he has coffee in the morning. A burger or pie at work and then nothing until dinner.

Here is what I think I should pack for him.

Banana
Peanuts
Sandwich or bread roll or wrap with roast beef or ham + cheese or salad

Thats all I can think of right now.

He has no access to a kitchen so can't have anything that needs heating.

That sounds great for lunch :)

My DH has:
700ml bottle of water
Banana
Apple
4 wholegrain sandwhiches with tomato relish and ham/roast beef.
Sometimes he also had a packet of potato chips lol

:agree: I don't think diet is super important for DH but you are dead right, skipping meals isn't good for anyone's testosterone levels that's for sure. Esp. if he is smoking/drinking coffee all day long.

Some things I put in my DH's lunch -

Raw Carrots
Raw Broccoli
Chopped melon
Small orange or apple juices or lemonades or green tea
String cheese
Lunch meat either as a sandwich or just rolled up
Small cups of fruit
Yogurt
Crackers
Pretzels
granola bars
Dinner leftovers

So today when I made his lunch, I had made Sloppy Joes for dinner so I put some of that in there along with bread and pickles, 2 yogurts, 2 granola bars, a large cup of chopped melon, white choc. covered pretzels, and a green tea plus two waters so he drinks less coffee than he otherwise would. He works 12 hours and gets 2 lunches, so your husband might not want that much food.

I'm laughing at what my DH would say if I put raw broccoli in his lunch box!

Does your DH work outside? My dad does and my mum got him a food flask so she can give him homemade soups and leftover stews, which is great in the Winter!

Yeah he works outside.
The weather is warm here. My DH would laugh at me if I put raw vegies in his lunch.

Thanks for the ideas though. He is a very fussy man grrrrrr

He doesn't like it either, he eats it sometimes for medicinal purposes, because he hates veg and won't eat them much otherwise. More times than I care to recall the brocolli has reappeared at the end of the day still untouched!!

I asked him if he wanted a mandarin in his lunch and he said he would eat anything I put in there. I said what about raw vegies lol and he said he will pretend he didn't hear that.

Today he has

3 x ham and tomato sandwichs
an apple
a mandarin
Peanuts

Raw veggi is out for us too. But my DH is taking fruit every day for lunch and some crackers. Sometimes sandwiches but now I will make sure he take 1 or 2 every day.
But he only started this a couple weeks ago he use to skip lunch too. For sure I hope this help us .

Oh and I cook green tea for him every day so he drinks that at work.
