well, managed to DTD, but it didnt do a thing, not even a twinge....looks like im going to be overdue.
i have my next check up on monday, which is also my due date.
also a full moon that night so hopefully that will do something....lol
not sure, but think my blood pressure might be playing up a bit.
its fine when i get up in the morning, but as the day progresses, i get these headaches that just gradually get worse, and i have a migraine by the time i go to bed, happened everyday for the last 3 days.
also i have started swelling a bit this week, not alot, but i notice it.
its the first time all pregnancy that i couldnt get my rings off...

Dannikins, how'd your appointment go? Are they talking about inducing you?
They always harass me at my 40 week. As a drug-free birther, it's always really hard for me to smile and say "no, really, don't induce me...I love being over due! I feel great!

By the way, have any of you guys dropped with any of your #2+ pregnancies? None of my boys (including #1) ever engaged before I went into labor...and, actually, I think they finally engaged as I was pushing.
Over the last day or so, I've felt like the baby is noticeably lower. She doesn't feel up in my ribs like the boys. I don't know if that means she's dropped?
Online they say that only happens right before going into labor with subsequent babies...but, I know it's one of those "who knows" signs. I was just wondering if any of your kiddos dropped--how long it was before you went into labor?

How are you Dannikins? We're waiting for you.
I've also dropped really low but I've been like that for the past month. I feel and look like I'm going to give birth any minute. Yes I'll have to get Dh to put some 4d photos on here there unreal.

Mocha updated on the april may due thread that from dannikins facebook page it seems she has given birth!
Applesoup the same for me, my boys never dropped in pregnancy, only in advanced labour. Hope your girl will be here soon!
Would love to see your girl in 4 D Belle.
I also feel so near all of a sudden, I somehow still felt like 30 weeks and having one quarter of the pregnancy ahead of me, but now it seems time is running.
We´re still struggling with names, I thought we had decided, but now I don´t like any of those anymore.

Yep - sorry to butt in to your due date group, ladies, but I was stalking Dannikin's FB page and noticed that she'd had her baby. She hasn't posted anything yet herself, but all the wall posts from her family and friends made it very clear she had a girl!!!!

Gosh it's been ages since I was last on here, sorry :S
Danikins huge congratulations on your new arrival! Can't wait to hear all about the birth and what her name is :)
Indio I'm so glad your ok with lo being a boy :) its do lovely you can enjoy your pregnancy without all that gd crap!
Belle I love the name Isabelle :)
We've decided on Lily for our princess!
Apple I dropped a couple of weeks before both boys were born, I know that the baby can pop in and out of being engaged so I wouldn't be surprised if that was happening!
I don't have much for baby at all, my dp is out of work at the min, he has a job lined up but they keep putting his start date back. It's rediculous now, he's having to apply for more again because we can't have him sitting around anymore. We've used our savings now so it's all a bit worrying!
Hmmm I think I'll pass on the drug free labour lol, although I do want a water birth and they only allow gas and air so who knows! This time round I'm very nervous about birth! I've never panicked before ive always been really excited and looking forward to it! Strange huh!
Hope u are all good :)

thanks everyone, its totally amazing...
we only got home from hospital last night and i havent had reliable internet access, kept dropping out....
sasha Maree was born on the 5th of june at 1.35 pm.
7 pound 10 ounces, 54 cm long, with a 33 cm head, she is tall and skinny.
went in for my check up on monday, my due date, and my BP was up, 130/90, usually its only 110/60, and i had been having migraines all week, so they kept me in and done bloods, urines and NSTs, after 6 hours they rulled out pre E, and decided they would do a stretch and sweep, and then if i hadnt had bub by thursday, they would organise an induction.
when she done the internal to do the S&S, she found i was already 4cm dialated and super stretchy.
so this changed their plans.
they decided with my history of fast delivery, pp bleeding, and my increased BP, that they would keep me over night and break my water in the morning, since i was already half dialated, they didnt want to risk me going into labour at home and wanted to keep everything in a controlled environment.
so i went home got my stuff and hubby drove me back in.
i have never felt so looked after, they had one OB and 3 midwives with me the entire time, all 100% dedicated to me, and they were all really lovely ladies.
they took me to L&D at 10am and broke my waters, hooked up an IV, and pumped some fluids in.
after an hour i was still not contracting, so they decided to give me cintocin to get the contractions going.
started the dosage at 6, then after an hour still nothing, they upped it to 12.
after about 1/2 hour at 12 i started to get some niggles, but nothing major, so they upped it to 18.
i really dont like 18!!!!
once it kicked in it was basically one long, non stop contraction, it started so suddenly, and was easily the worst pain ever experienced.
but it was also very quick!
within 20 mins i was pushing.
2 pushes for her head, and one big push for the rest of her..
she had a very short cord, so they couldnt put her on my chest until after it was cut.
they never told me the gender, they all knew that we already had 4 boys, they just handed her to me and let me find out for myself.
i bawled my eyes out! even now while i type this i get teary from the fact i now have a daughter.
its just so amazing, and she has completed my whole world.
she started nursing straight away, and is a boobing machine...
anyway, back to the birth.....
because of my history of PP bleed, they had a pretty extensive plan in place.
as soon as her head was out they gave me the needle in my leg, then once she was fully delivered they gave me 4 supositories, and also started me back on low dosage cintocin for 6 hours.
they wanted the placenta delivered quickly, so if i hadnt passed it with in 30 mins they were planning on taking me to surgery to remove it.
thankfully after about 15 -20 mins, they got me to push again and it came out perfectly, membranes included.
no pp bleeding this time, so it all worked!
she is perfect! and already the most spoilt little girl in the world, we had so many visitors, all with arm loads of pink stuff, i wont need to buy her any clothes for 6 months... not that it means i wont...lol...
she has a very proud daddy, and 4 big brothers that love her to bits already.
and i cant even describe how im feeling...
i can now safely say im done, hubby is going to get the snip.
i have my little girl.... and i have no intention whatsoever to go through that again....
anyway, my quick update has turned quite long....lol... ill add some pics later today once i download them from the camera...

How are you all doing ladies?
I´m about to feel fed up lol, my bump is big and I have been having lower back pains since a couple of days.
In the morning it hurts and I walk like a pinguin lol. It has been bad weather here and I´ve been wearing my winter shoes, they hurt, my feet have grown or swollen :/ I´m looking forward to giving birth but 6 weeks to go.

Awww danikins what a pretty little lady :) so cute :) makes me all the more excited for our arrival now!!
Well finally handed in my college work last night, so now I get to relax for a year until I go to university! I have to fit all my nesting into the next 5 weeks as I've had no time to do a thing around my house recently, we are lucky we've been fed and have clean clothes :(
I'm ok, getting to that really uncomfortable stage now, where even just moving a leg causes pain, and sleep well what's sleep, I've not slept properly for 4 days now and I'm feeling it I can tell you!
Lily's movements feel different as well, they are less violent, and I think she's been trying to engage because I've had a fair amount of pressure and can now feel hiccups in my foof lol!
Have my 34 week check with the midwife today, and the. I'm off to the local maternity unit to see Queen Elizabeth II open it officially lol my dp's mum has asked if she can use me as I'm pregnant and she wants to see the queen :)
Hope your all ok xx
Indira
June 14th, 2012, 06:51 AM
Kell congrats on finishing your college work! Must be a great feeling to be able to 'relax' for a year now! Are you going to meet the Queen:)?
Kell
June 14th, 2012, 08:13 AM
Lol yep I went to see the queen :) she is doing a big jubilee tour at the moment and she came to officially open the maternity unit by me.
Oh you have no idea what relief it is to be so close to finishing the course! Today I've actually managed to tidy and clean lol
Indira
June 22nd, 2012, 06:46 AM
Do you still have energy to clean and tidy Kell? I´m waiting for the nesting syndrome to set in..
Weird days because we are so near but not quite there yet!
Applesoup how are you doing? Any signs?
Kell
June 24th, 2012, 05:05 AM
Im doing my head in with all the nesting! Honestly Ive gone a bit mad :S
My dp was asking why I was going so crazy cleaning walls and cupboard doors, the baby isn't going to see them! He's got a point lol but it's got to be done! My energy levels are ok at the min, I'm struggling more with pain in pelvis and hips.
Only 4weeks left :) finally have all her clothes cleaned, pram down from the loft, Moses basket arrived, I just need to get the bits for my hospital bag and I'm all set. I've always been one of those mums that's in and out of the hospital in the same day so fingers crossed I'm the same again this time :)

Hi girls hope ur all well and yes your next applesoup, how are u?
My baby has engaged and ready to go I'm getting so nervous I'm sure im having her early this week or next like my first two. On the other hand she might come fashionably late because she is a female and I can't wait. Lily is a beautiful name Kell that is my nieces name. I've already done my rearranging and nesting like a freak. Bags are all packed, had my hair cut and colour I'm just getting bored waiting and just shopping and catching up with girlfriends for movies and lunches, I just have to squeeze in a pedicure before belle arrives. X

How is everyone doing?
Indira
June 28th, 2012, 05:37 PM
I also had lower back pain and pelvis but now it´s better, my dr. said the baby has engaged so that´s keeping things more steady.
I feel a bit behind when I read how ready the two of you are, I have a list now lol but still have a lot to do.
Haircut is a great idea! And I will wash the baby´s clothes tomorrow morning. We will do a bit of furniture moving this weekend-I hope- so baby´s bed will be ready.
When I was pregnant with Ds1 I had everything ready at 37 weeks and then started waiting..it was an endless wait, he arrived at 41+1 so now I take things a bit differently.
Girls are you drinking raspberry leaf tea ? How much do you drink it?
Wow, it´s so exciting the two of you will meet your baby girl soon!

Hi Everyone.
I'm 4 days over due & feeling really down. Feeling crappy, but that's been going on for the last few months. Feeling really hormonal. About to bite off the head of the next person who talks about this baby being born in July. And, literally feeling like the only person in the world who doesn't spontaneously deliver 2 weeks early...or isn't induced on or before my due date. (Literally, it feels like everyone in my life does that...and then they make stupid comments like me going to July. As if they understand!)
As you can see...I really feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever. And every night, I go to bed thinking "tomorrow I'll be in the hospital!" & every night it doesn't happen. Tomorrow I start going about natural induction ideas...dreading my appointment on Monday. (Since I want a drug-free birth, I don't want to be induced...)
Hopefully the next time I'm on here, I'll finally have my little girl! Seems like I've waited so long for her...
Kell
June 30th, 2012, 04:47 AM
Oh applesoup I'm sorry she's being fasionably late :(
You must make a very comfortable home for her, fingers crossed your evacuation attempts work for you :)
I have a feeling I will be in a very similar situation with this little lady.
Both boys I was in labour on my due date but as with us all waiting for our little girls has been a looooong journey and I think she will drag it out lol.
Is there anything you could do for yourself which might help? Manicure, pedicure, hairdressers etc you just know as soon as you make an appointment little lady will make an arrival :)
Hope she hurrys up for you :)
I'm off to sort out my hospital bag bits today and to take a look round the maternity unit with dp's mum. Hope u are all well :)

Oh I'm sorry your girl hasn't arrived yet Applesoup, I know how depressing that is. With Ds1 I felt like I wasn't going to have a baby at all anymore and I went crazy with people calling me on the phone 'oh nothing happening yet?' And I had the same thoughts every evening about maybe waking up with contractions but nada. I hope she decides to show up very soon!

I ended up in the hospital yesterday. I have migraines again and yesterday morning I vomited right before my dr.'s appointment. She wanted me to go to the hospital to esclude pre-eclampsia. They checked everything and it seems I'm doping fine. Baby is rather small, I'm a bit worried about that. So was the dr., she checked all the blood flows and didn't find anything wrong. So now I'm lying on the couch trying to get rid of that headache and letting cook the baby. How is everone else doing?

Indira glad your all ok after that little scare, let's hope your lo sticks in there for a little while longer to put on some extra weight :)
I'm good, had a little scare a couple of nights ago which then made me realise I'm not ready lol, I hadn't even thought about her being early, so didn't worry about school uniforms etc, hadn't got anything together for them at all. Also was lacking a bit on the hospital bag bits. Needless to say I've been sorting all that and trying to keep ontop of all the cleaning so when someone comes to look after the boys they won't have to climb piles of dishes :)

No I haven't organised everything yet! I also started to quickly do things that still had to be done. Washing baby clothes right now. My headache has gone for now, I'm so so tired. Our house is a mess, I don't want my inlaws to find the house like this when they come to help out, but I can't get off the couch for now lol. I have to give up secretly hoping baby will arrive early, it's better when it puts on some more weight. I hope one of your little girls shows up early! Do you get weekly checks at your dr. now ? Applesoup I hope you will show us some pictures soon and aren't still waiting!

Indira I have had to get myself out of the hoping she will arrive early thoughts, it's dangerous for me as I end up quite fed up lol. I'm also the same with the house, I am doing bits and bobs but I want to do more, when I start I get so easily out of breath and I swell up so it gets really uncomfortable!

July 4th, 2012, 05:03 PM
Kell sorry if you already mentioned this, but when did your boys arrive? My first was late and my second one day before due date. With DS2 I had learned my lesson and was patient and had 41 weeks in mind as birth date. So it was a great surprise things started to get going at 39+4. Now I am NOT that patient lol. A friend that has 3 kids said to me today ´just enjoy your sleep and rest these last weeks´ and I thought  but afterwards I remembered how hard things were when DS2 was born; the lack of sleep-he would wake up every 2 hours and cry a lot-trying to be nice to DS1 when I was just too tired to even speak and not having the time to sit down for a moment and have a drink. So I thought that she´s actually right and I´m working on enjoying the peace I still have now :).
Journey2dFuture you have a lovely bump, you look great! It´s your first baby, right? I am a loooooot bigger..
And you have the same parquet we have lol! Did you find a name for your boy in the end?
We still haven´t decided on a boy´s name, DH keeps calling my bump Orlando, but it feels to me like that´s not his name!

Indira I had the boys the day after their due dates, I was in labour on my due date with ds1 he was born early hours the following day, and ds2 was mid afternoon the day after his as well, so if they are anything to go by fingers crossed I've only only got a little while to go :)
Your bump is lovely Journey I still haven't taken a single picture of mine this time, at the beginning I just looked fat! And for ages you couldn't tell if I was pregnant or not lol, I really thought I'd end up with a massive horrible fat bump but it seems to have sorted itself out and is quite neat finally :)
Although I have put weight on around my bum and thighs which is not a good look :(

Lol yeh they started off good boys! Now not so much hehe
I went to get my eye brows waxes today, there is a long road full of speed bumps, Lily was no impressed with me going over so many lol, when I got out the car my bump had dropped where she had wriggled so much! Shame they pop in and out of being engaged tho huh!

Hi girls I'm ok I'm having heaps of Braxton hicks that are annoyingly painful, the doctor sais she is really deep into position which is why my vj feels like its going to split open when I stand or walk. Kell I was due on the 26th from my period date but now im due on the 22nd according to my ultrasound dates. I had my ds2 by now and ds1 in a couple of days but like I said I have a feeling this one will take a little longer. My doctor said if I want to be induced next week but as much as I want her in my arms I want her to be ready and hope I go into labour naturally. I hope applesoup is holding her little one by now. Indira I love the name Orlando I think it sounds cute for young and beautiful when older, now what girl names have u thought of???
Indira
July 6th, 2012, 08:18 AM
Kell yes she might pop out again but that sounds good! It's so exciting when anything happens at this stage that makes it looks like birth is approaching, like a dropped bum :)
Belle sounds like you won't go past due date! With Ds2 I had a lot more Braxton Hicks at this point, don't have that many now. Since a couple of days I can't walk without getting them however.
Well the weird thing is I proposed Orlando in the first place and exactly for what your saying Belle, cause I think it's a good, strong name for an adult man, I sometimes fear Ds1 and Ds2 names are too feminine for adult men. But for some reason it feels like the wrong name. For a girl we have Eva, Rebecca, Hilde or Letizia.

Danikins those pictures are adorable!! How pretty is she!
I've finally hit the fed up stage :( I know from experience baby will come when she's ready but I'm almost desperate to try anything lol, found a few articles to say that nipple stimulation for 15mins 3 times a day can release oxytocin and induce labour! Told the other half and he was well up for helping lol, shame for him it wouldn't stop at that and sex is the last thing on my mind at the moment! Lol
Two weeks in counting .......
Indira
July 8th, 2012, 05:20 PM
lol Kell! I hope she´ll come soon!
I feel quite the opposite, I feel not ready and all of a sudden a bit scared of dealing with a newborn and my two boys.
I´m also scared of getting GD if it´s a boy. My inlaws will be here to help us out and my FIl is absolutely going to make ´funny´comments if it´s a boy. He is the last of three brothers, his mum had him trying the get the girl..
Well I´m pretty sure it will be at least two more weeks before my baby comes so enough time to do last things and calm down.
Kell
July 10th, 2012, 01:57 PM
Indira fingers crossed your worries don't happen, I really could not have stayed team green thus time round your a stronger woman than me lol.
Anyone got anything interesting going on? I have back ache this evening but nothing that I would put down as labour, more just late pregnancy aches.
I had a text message today from my college tutor congratulating me on achieving my diploma which was good to see! I have my graduation tomorrow, I look like a house and have literally nothing to wear :(
Indira
July 10th, 2012, 04:42 PM
Kell enjoy your graduation tomorrow! I bet everybody will admire and be envious of your bump!
I had painful BH for a couple of hours while lying on the couch, that´s new for me. A bit weird as I´m really thinking I will give birth after July 24., but now all is gone :). With Ds1 I felt nothing until labour started, with Ds2 I felt a lot of painful BH days before, so I´m guessing with the third baby this starts even earlier and doesn´t mean a thing for when labour will start.
Afterwards my baby started all shaking and rolling around. I think it has popped back out of my pelvis, I feel something heavy laying on my hip that feels like a head.
Applesoup I hope you gave birth by now, hope all is well.

I had a visit at my dr. and yes baby pushed itself out of my pelvis again.
I think those painful BH were because of the raspberry leaves tea, so I stopped drinking that for now, these BH were not funny and it's better baby comes out when my inlaws are here so they can look after the boys.
I'm cooking bolognese right now to put in small portions in the freezer.

I'm still here hanging out waiting around with no motivation to do anything what so ever!
More doctors appointments next week. Plus I've had my meeting with the midwife.
A full update can be found on my blog.

July 12th, 2012, 10:07 AM
Indira that's not good about the bh, I get them bad enough without taking anything can't imagine how uncomfortable that must have been!
I had a midwife appointment this morning, Lily is engaged now which I knew as my bump is pretty low now, but she appears to have been back to back. She moves about a lot do I know there's a chance she will move again fingers crossed anyway!
Just faced with more waiting now :(
I don't have another appointment until 40+4 so hopefully I'll not have another visit with her (I mean that in the nicely possible way lol)
Indira
July 12th, 2012, 03:22 PM
Kell lol I´m sure you´ll get to meet Lily before seeing your midwife again!
Great that she´s engaged! I hope she turns away from back to back though.
During the day sometimes I feel pressure like the head is going down and before going to bed my bump looks lower but when I wake up baby is all high up again, I think when I sleep it likes to push itself up again :) It´s not a big deal as my sons never engaged before labour started.

Indira
July 15th, 2012, 09:40 AM
Journey I' m waiting until Saturday then my inlaws will be here so DH will be less stressed out as they can look after the boys when we need to go to the hospital. Then I'm going to drink raspberry leaf tea, might buy some caullophyllum and convince DH into some action!
With Ds2 I ate pinneaple and had a big O, next day things started. But maybe they would have anyway.
And if I go overdue I could do accupuncture with my gyn.
At the moment I still have some patience left, too much in a lousy mood to be wanting to give birth lol.
Kell if she stays posterior there is also a Hypnobabies Mp3 download to make baby turn.
Kell
July 15th, 2012, 11:44 AM
Journey after trying everything under the sun in my last pregnancy (including caster oil yuck!!) I realised that there really isn't much that can help unless your body is ready to go into labour itself! We've done the deed a few times and I've experienced the big o in the last couple of days but not for induction reasons lol
I'm just going to patiently (yeh right) wait this one out!
I'm getting lots of stretching and ligament pains and braxton hicks which im willing to turn into more lol, but I'm sure I'll still be here past my due date.

Kell
July 17th, 2012, 03:33 AM
Morning,
Nice to have you back indigo :) so nice to see you!!
Had mild contractions for a few hours last night, and lots of back ache and period pains but nothing came of it! In shattered today tho because it all started quite late on. I'm not use to the stop start thing as the boys were pretty definate with no messing about. I'm dragging dp out for a walk this afternoon to see if it helps! I want her here now!
Indira
July 17th, 2012, 04:20 AM
Exciting exciting Kell! I bet she is on her way. With Ds2 I had a slow start like that, the next evening again contractions and that stopped and restarted, he was born next day at lunch time. Will be checking here all day :luck:
I feel nothing, zero, nada, my baby is very chilled out in my bump so I think it will take it easy.
Kell
July 17th, 2012, 04:59 AM
I'm not getting too excited just yet, guess its a bit of a defence thing! I hope things do start sooner rather than later! I guess time will tell huh! You'll probably end up first now you've said that lol
Indira
July 17th, 2012, 05:29 AM
lol I hope not! If I get contractions during the night before Saturday I really don´t know what we´ll do with the boys. I guess I´ll take a taxi to the hospital and leave Dh at home. My labours have been long and slow before so I don´t think I will have to rush to get there.
I understand you don´t want to get excited -but I am for you!- I really believe she will be here before her due date though !
Applesoup now I finally saw Noelle´s picture as I´m not on my phone, she´s gorgeous! And I love the name too.
Indigo I saw on another thead you´re still struggling with names, we are too! Maybe it´s hormones but I think all the names we had before aren´t special enough and feel like we´re back at square one. This is stressing me out!
Kell
July 17th, 2012, 10:17 AM
Well apparently labour tends not to start if you are anxious about something like childcare etc! I was reading lots about the hormones releasing which triggers labour i find thewhole thing fascinating!
Just like its unusual for your waters to break in the middle of a supermarket lol it tends to happen in a familiar place of comfort.
Where abouts are you from Indira? Do you have family coming to care for the boys this weekend?
We've had a lovely day, had lunch in a pub garden, went into town for a few bits and then saw the In laws, feeling quite relaxed and chilled now :S
No more signs really just lots of blooming braxton hicks!
Indira
July 17th, 2012, 04:23 PM
Relaxed and chilled is good!
Sounds like you had a lovely day indeed.
We´re living abroad in Germany and we don´t have relatives here, I´ve asked a friend if she can take the boys during the day but she has 3 children as well, we´re not that close that I´m comfortable calling her at night.
My inlaws will stay with us for 2 weeks and they arrive on Saturday so then I will be all set!
Speaking about anxiousness holding off birth, Dh is off from work too in the same 2 weeks, so I am a bit worried my labour will never start as I´ll have these three persons around me asking me 10 times a day if I feel anything..
I´m looking forward to my dr. appt. on Friday, I hope she does another scan and baby is doing fine.
Kell
July 18th, 2012, 03:55 AM
Lol I'm being driven crazy by my oh asking 'are you in labour' every ten minutes! I'm pretty sure I'd let him know lol!
I made the mistake of telling him I was getting contractions the other night and he then didn't sleep very well expecting me to go into labour properly and blamed me for being tired! I did say me sleeping was a pretty good indication that nothing was happening! Durrr
No more signs for me, last night she was rolling about all over the place! Felt like she was trying to escape :)
Oh is working today so I get a bit of peace to get on with the house work :) at peace :( at housework!!

Here's hoping so Indira! What ever she was doing it made me loose a little more plug so I'm certainly gearing up for things.

Journey2dFuture
July 18th, 2012, 11:46 AM
Ah interesting I've been checked every 4week which is every appointment since I was 25 week or before. I think It mainly for the doctors peace of mind since I was having so many BH early on. I have been signed off work since May.
Indira
July 18th, 2012, 03:24 PM
Oh Kell you lost some plug too, I can´t help to be very excited about that! lol
It´s like I´m living the fun part of -approaching- birth through you without feeling contractions and pushing myself lol.
I bet she wants to beat her brothers on punctuality :)
Journey glad all is well. You´re almost 36 weeks, I always feel turning from 35 to 36 weeks is crucial, 35 weeks sounds so innocent but 36 is a different story. 36 is right before 37 and at 37 weeks it is normal to deliver.
Are you enjoying being signed off work ? Do you still have a lot of BH?
Kell
July 18th, 2012, 04:27 PM
Lol indira! Hey your not far behind me ;)
We're you over due with the boys?
Journey2dFuture
July 18th, 2012, 10:48 PM
Yep 36/37 is coming round the corner fast! As for work - At first I was ok with it. Managed to do so much in and around the house but since I've gotten bigger my motivation has got smaller. I'm just too lazy and too tired. I'm not sleeping so well now.
Not to many BH going on now I'd say im still getting 2-3 an hour where as before I was getting 6-7. but I've upped my water in take to over 2L's which has helped.
As for delivering at 37 weeks. I'd rather hang off on that one. My midwife is on holiday in till August 13th which is the day i turn 39 weeks. Any time after 13th Im happy to go ! Hell I'll even give him a helping hand to come out :p As long as I dont go over due.
Kell

No haha!!! Boys are keeping me busy.
Indira
July 19th, 2012, 12:52 PM
With ds 1 I went 8 days overdue, that's why I'm thinking I'll go overdue again. This baby behaves like he did in my belly.
Ds2 came one day before due date, he's different, total trouble maker untill he turned 1.
With him I also had Bh early on and a lot of them, with ds1 and this one my bump is a lot more relaxed.
indigoviolet
July 19th, 2012, 03:57 PM
Indira- glad you have a 'relaxed' bump lol, just hope you don't have to go too overdue. So excited to see what you are having!
I've been on time with both of mine so expecting the same this time. I really don't feel like anything will happen for a while (which is good, have too much to do before baby arrives).
ds2's birthday party tomorrow so have been baking madly and putting up balloons etc, am exhausted now and looking forward to an early night (as soon as I finish icing his cake).
Kell- sounds like things are getting going! eeek, will be checking for an update!
glad things are going well for you sarah, you are nearly there, can you believe it?! You must be so excited.

Congratulations Applesoup she is absolutely gorgeous.
I'm still begging my husband to upload photos for you girls as I'm on my phone now, can I put photos from my phone???
Kell honey I use to say I'm bored then bang I went into labour with no warning, I was out at the cinemas the night before.
Isabelle was born posterior so I was in excruciating pain and she just wouldn't move. I'm stitched down there and my muscle on my stomach has separated a fist wide. I'm on some heavy pain killers which knock me out most of the time so I'm sorry I've been Mia for a bit but after the adrenalin wore off from giving birth Im now just crashing. I'm thankful that Isabelle is a good sleeper and only wakes up once a night. Girls, best of luck and thinking of you all xxo
Indira
July 20th, 2012, 05:39 AM
Oh Belle I´m so sorry you had a painful birth. That sounds not so great :( With Ds2 my stitches hurt so much and I was so bothered by them. hope that gets better soon.
That is very sweet from Isabelle that she weeks up only once at night.
With Tapatalk it is very easy to post a picture you made with your phone.
Kell she´s coming this weekend :) She´d better get used to listening to mummy lol
Indigo hope your son had a wonderful birthday party today, you have been busy! I´m mainly living on the couch now.
Saw my dr. this morning, she says baby is engaged well that´s something.
For the rest no contractions and cervix still all closed and hard. Good ´cause we´re still discussing names :worry: pregnancy hormones :sigh:
I´m happy I made it through this week, when my in laws arrive tomorrow I´m ready to go. I´m focusing on Saturday, July 28. Ds1 was born on a Saturday 28.
Kell
July 20th, 2012, 05:46 PM
Well I'm still here! Same ole same ole in terms of bh and back pain etc
Etc, not looking like she will appearing over night anyway!
Belle you poor thing, I have a feeling I'll have a struggle if she hasn't moved to anterior!
Hope things are starting to head in the right direction with sleep etc.
Indira now you can relax a little you may end up with a baby by the end of the weekend ;) hehe
Indira
July 21st, 2012, 04:11 PM
Yes they have arrived so now baby can come. However I really think I´ll go overdue because I don´t even get a lot of BH, it feels like I will give birth in 2 weeks if ever lol.
And Kell, are you ready to have your baby tomorrow  ?
Kell
July 21st, 2012, 04:48 PM

I've arranged to take ds2 to the cinema for the first time in the morning, and then visiting my dad in the afternoon. Fingers crossed I won't have to do any of it and I'll be having a baby instead :)
Journey2dFuture
July 22nd, 2012, 02:22 AM
I'm not convinced the BH make any difference. I've been suffering daily with BH since 25 weeks. last night was the worst ever - I even timed them.. coming anything between 6-2mins apart lasting between 30-40 seconds. I hardly got any sleep.
I have just been to the doctor last Tuesday and there's been no change in my cervix. Nothing! Sweet FA!
I would much prefer the bh to be doing something. a slow dilation would make for a 'faster' real labor.
Indira
July 22nd, 2012, 04:15 AM
Journey I think the BH don't do anything now, but when your baby and placenta will be sending signals that they are ready for birth they may help to get things starting more quickly, with ds2 it was like that for me. Here's to hoping! I know they are very annoing.
Kell good you have a nice program for today, hope you will have to cancel it :)

Have any of you done any research on Evening primrose oil to soften the cervix.. I found a link which states its safe to take from 36 weeks. Inducing Labor - 40+ Natural Ways To Induce Labor On Your Own (http://wrylilt.hubpages.com/hub/Ways-to-induce-Labour-Naturally)
Indira
July 22nd, 2012, 10:45 AM
No I haven't. Is that the same as what they call wonderoil?
Checking out your link now
Indira
July 22nd, 2012, 10:55 AM
That's very interesting, a lot of options!
What they call wonderoil in my country is castor oil, that's not something I want to use.
How long do they let you go overdue in your country?
I just read yesterday that in the Netherlands before they would induce at 42 weeks, now it's 41.3 or 41 if you want.
Here in Germany I don't know.
I really would 't like to be induced but I want a healthy baby more.
Well there's still enough time.
Journey2dFuture
July 22nd, 2012, 11:31 AM
Here in Poland my midwife has agreed a max of 10 days over due. I would never take castor oil. Nor would I like to be induce.
I'm just checking out some seemingly harmless gentle things to do.. Slow working..
As soon as I hit 39 Weeks I'm planning to go full steam ahead.. to encourage this little one.
Kell
July 22nd, 2012, 12:05 PM
I believe it's similar to raspberry leaf tea, they both help ready the cervix but don't actually induce labour.
Unfortunatly I found out the hard way that nothing works! With ds2 from 37 weeks I tried literally everything! Sex a lot, the big o a lot! Ate all the foods, ran, jumped on trampoline, even tried caster oil twice (omg that stuff is disgusting)
Non of it worked :(
I have no idea how far over due I can go, I have a midwife appointment on Thursday, will have a sweep then and I think be booked in for induction about a week later, so around about 10-12 days over.
5pm here I'm giving up on a due date baby lol

Had contractions for 4 hours every 10mins last night, darted getting excited then nothing! :(
Oh BOOOOH that is so frustrating!
Something is def. moving, if it would only persist!
Are you in the UK? Is it that hot on the other side of the Canal as well?
Here it´s 30 degrees as well I think and it´s getting hotter every day now. I worried about having to give birth in the heat, but I don´t care anymore :) just want baby to come now!
Lol love the picture of you in the paddling pool :)
Journey too bad you don´t like the water. My backpain got a lot better swimming.
Do you use a babybelt? that did wonders for me too.
Journey2dFuture
July 24th, 2012, 12:10 PM
it's been 30+ here today too. Only getting hotter as the week goes on. I'm planning to stay in doors.
Nope I dont have a babybelt. I've been managing with naps, warm baths and moving around in to different positions often.
I'm a little bit worried although I'm only 36weeks and I dont 'feel' like I could go in to labor any time soon.
Its a worry in the back of my mind DH is working away. He flew this morning to the north of the country only 1hour flight but a good 4-5hour train ride if anything were to happen. He's back on Thursday night.
But this is going to be happening for the next two more weeks. Tuesday to Thursday away and my Midwife is away in till I hit 39 weeks. :/

Yep I'm in the uk, was only last week we were getting nothing but rain, the weather over here is crazy! Everyone is hot and bothered, kids included and it's making tempers flare lol
I was thinking the same about giving birth in the heat, now I don't care! I told dp in taking the fan from our bedroom with me! Lol

I had contractions for an hour yesterday evening, not very painful and not regular, but def. contractions. Yay I'm excited something has happened and at the same time relieved that it stopped as I went to bed and got another good night of sleep lol.
Man it's so hot! Only inside the house I feel well, if I have the energy I'll go swimming again this afternoon.

Yep super warm here too, quite uncomfortable! And I don't have any clothes to wear either which is problematic lol, oh has an interview this afternoon so lil lady can stay put for a few hours!

Hee hee Thanks girls - I've noticed I have some funky feeling going on down low inside my vaj ja.. Perhaps he's dropping a little. :/
Warm here again today -I've been a busy bee, Changing bed covers, ironing and hovering.

Since I can see from the ticker you girls already have children perhaps you'll be bale to help me / Share your experience.
This whole pregnancy I've had some trouble with my poop, I'm lucky to go twice a week.
But since Sunday so the last 4 days I've gone every day.. And had the feeling I really 'needed' to go.
I have read online about loss stools before labor etc...
Did you have this? How long after did labor start? How long did the lose stools last?
I don't have a doctors appointment in till Next Friday August 3rd.
Kell
July 25th, 2012, 10:35 AM
Journey during pregnancy your digestive system is all over the place, constipation or even slowed digestion it completly normal, but it's not unusual to have bouts of loose stools also.
Yes I have experienced loose ones in labour, excuse the tmi but for me it happened quite early on, once I knew I was in labour as I had regular contractions. I knew I was in labour at around 5:30 am and the went to the toilet two or three times in an hour.
But there is a chance you could just have reacted to food differently or there may have been a slight change in hormones which could also cause the same thing.
Journey2dFuture
July 25th, 2012, 11:25 AM
Okie dokie Thanks Kell :) I figured from reading here and there online that the 'loose stuff' didn't happen in till labor has already started.
Nothing going on here. Some slight movement super low down. and only 4 BH today ! I think thats a record!

Nope no baby over here. No contractions either last night. Baby probably thinks it's too hot.
Kell I hope the sweep does something today, if you still need it that is :)

Indira - We had a thunder storm at 4:30am which woke me up, I've not been able to sleep so, Showered, ate breakfast, surfed the net and ate some ice cream - It's ok to ice cream at 7am right :p
Good luck at your sweep. FX it will get things started.

Nope no babe here either :(
Oh had me stimulating my nipples last night to try bring on contractions, i could feel slight twinges and had the odd contraction but nothing once I stopped!
So looks like I'll be getting a sweep and being booked in for and induction :S
And journey ice cream at 7am! Brilliant! I want some lol

Back from the midwife, ha a good sweep, my cervix is central but still a little thick I am 2-3 cm and baby's head is low 3/5engaged.
I'm getting tightnings already which I hope keep coming! Baby is definatly posteria :( but I don't care I just want her here now! I'm booked for induction 3rd August.

Been having contractions all day they vary in strength etc but are roughly every 10mins ish. I really hope this is it, I'll be gutted if it tails off.
Problem is I've noticed if I'm active and up doing stuff they slow down a bit untill I sit back down again lol

Strange normally its the other way round.. :/
Nothing going on here with me.. woke up with a super hard belly which lasted a good few mins..
Seems to be ok now, Baby is kicking away.
I'm wondering if to take a trip to the city one and half hour bus ride away.
Dh doesn't really want me to. He thinks I could go in to labor at any time. Which I guess is true. Baby boy is head down and pretty much engaged. BH are still coming as and when they please.
Hmmm what to do... Also it is 30oC :(

Baby is doing fine. Because it is Saturday I had to go to the hospital and they had a lot of labouring women.
So while waiting I heard 2 women scream while pushing out their babies, not nice! Brought back some memories.
Enjoy those last weeks ladies.

July 29th, 2012, 04:39 AM
Thanks ladies for all your congratulations I am loving the newborn cuddles! They are amazing!
Lily is doing great, breast feeding is going ok but my milks not come in yet so she's wanting to feed quite a lot, nipples are a little tender when she first latches but that's about it.
Our birth was very straight forward! Had a sweep at 12pm on Thursday by a student midwife, started getting very irregular contractions straight away almost, I kept finding that they would get more regular if I was resting, and almost stop when I was up and about weird!
By 8pm they were 15mins apart so called dp's mum to be on call for ds2 she decided to come over then and stay so she was definatly there.
Went off to bed at about10:30, laying down the contractions got to about 7mins apart and were quite moderate so we called labour ward to warn them I'd be in that night, at 12:30 we called back to say they we're 5mins apart they told us to come in. From home to hospital (6mins) I had 3 contractions lol we got in and settled was given gas and air and examined was 5-6cm and from there on my contractions came thick and fast! I didn't have any other pain reliefe I did get to a stage where I asked for some but I was just about pushing then so no chance!
I was up on my knees leaning over the head board the midwife said 'oh I'll just get a pad as your waters haven't gone' and right on que I have a contraction my body pushes and pop lol next contraction her head was born and then her body.
It was all so quick in the end
When she was born she looked just like ds2! Like his double!! Now she's looking more like mummy
Here she is with a very proud daddy!

Belle- nice to hear from you :HH:
Journey- good that your dh will be home for so long. I have found the heat really hard to bear during this pg. I have always had summer babies but this time I'm really struggling to sleep when it is hot. I ordered a 'chillow' which is a cool pillow (not frozen or chilled in fridge) that helps cool you during the night, I love it! Might be worth looking up on amazon?
Indira
July 30th, 2012, 12:03 PM
Thank you Belle. How are you doing? Are you feeling a bit better?
I ate a curry yesterday by case, didn´t think it could do anything. I had a couple of contractions in the evening and I woke up at 4 in the morning and had another two. I thought it was starting and thought how great it was, Dh could take the boys to school and in the afternoon they could come to visit the baby- well not. Today nothing special is happening.
I downloaded a Hypnobabies Mp3 file Come out baby lol, thinking if it doesn´t help it doesn´t hurt either.
DH and I joke about tomorrow, he watches this show on Tuesday that I hate so he has been saying all the time that I can´t give birth on a Tuesday and I tell him that I am absolutely going to give birth tomorrow! Well if baby is not here by tomorrow evening he will have others things to do then watching tv, haha! I hope baby comes before Friday, I´m not looking forward to being induced.
Indigo you´re almost due, yay! Can´t wait to see a picture of your litttle baby boy. The ´chillow´ sounds so funny and comfortable as well, never heard of it before. This pregnancy I slept very well, except for last night, had a long nap this afternoon.
Journey how great it will be when your DH is at home for 3 weeks, I bet your baby will come then when you can relax about him being there. Sorry it is that hot, here it got a lot better over the weekend. Now the heat is coming again tomorrow. Do you have a garden or balcony? I think you need to put up that paddle pool Kell was talking about lol!

Where did you get a copy of this hypno birthing - I was doing so much research on it back around 20-30w mark and gave up when I had to pay for everything :/ lol
People have started placing there bets on when he'll come. Sis said 6th, Friend said 13th another said 14th.
Waiting game now I guess. I'm bouncing on my ball as we speak. But nothing going on here a few BH through out the day but sweet FA else.

Hey girls - Just checking in. Any more babies last night? How's everyone doing?
As for me - DH and I took a nice long walk last night which was nice but only amounted to lower back ache, a few BH's, pressure in my butt and mosquito bites.
Today I've broken all the rules. I've been reading online about massaging the perineum sounds gross I know, but this being baby#1 I'll do what it takes to make it easier, So I broke open on EPO capsules and gave it a go for a few mins. Then popped just one capsule inside to 'soften' my cervix.
A few more BH going on this morning but nothing out the norm.
Indira
July 31st, 2012, 09:55 AM
That doesn´t sound gross, I massage my perineum!l lol. I was very bothered by the stitches after Ds 2 -I teared up- so I´ll try anything that might help. What I think is very important is for the perineum to have the time to stretch, so no pushing when the baby is crowning, and the head should come out with one contraction and the rest of the body with the next contraction. With both births however my children just flew out all in once, after all that pushing when their heads finally passed the rest of the body came along. Oh how I hate the sensation when the head crowns..
I have something else you can look into Journey lol: accupressure. I watched it on youtube and it´s easy to do.
I must say it does give me one contraction but it doesn´t start labor.
So no baby news here..
Oh and the MP3 file is from hypnobabies.com, this one I paid for but there are also some free ones I think. The other free ones I have are in German, so that might not help.
Speaking about walks, going for a small one now just to get out of the house. I find that that doesn´t do much either, just gives me back pain and annoying BH like you´re saying Journey and nothing more.

I'm 38 weeks and a couple days and dilated to 2 1/2 or so, even though I've gone late with all my others maybe this baby will come sooner. I've never dilated ahead of time before. Very nerve wracking because I have a zillion things to do...we don't even have a name picked out yet!

Journey Baby come out is about relaxing all muscles and tissues to let baby out, visualising the cervix opening, letting go of worries and fears considering birth, and talking to the baby to convince him/her to come out. It also prepares you to relax with every 'birth wave getting stronger' :). I find it's very much for overdue pregnancies, it's not exactly what you're looking for but it might be near enough. It does make you go in deep relaxation. It's 30 minutes btw. I don't know the other one.
Atomic that is so exciting your little girl might be here soon! Yeah looks like I'm going to have an August baby too.

Still pregnant here but last night was awful. I couldn't sleep ended up being awake in till gone 1am, woke up very often tossing and turning, heart burn and feeling sick.. I woke up three times to painful braxton hicks which I concentrated on breathing through. DH was up at 5am to catch his train away for one night. So It's 6am and I'm pretty much up. Dannikins wow 8 weeks already, time flies.
Journey sorry you had a bad night, your baby might show before mine!
Indigo I'm ok, at times I'm very relaxed about it, sometimes it is depressing. Especially when I wake up in the morning in my own bed with a relaxed bump. Yesterday I caught myself thinking and feeling ' let's just forget about this whole having a third-idea and get back to normal daily live' lol. When you go past due date a lot that feeling of excitement vanishes slowly.
I'm telling myself all day 'you are still going to have a baby, now it can't be longer than a week.'
I'm still patient enough to sit it out, I'm not going to ask for induction as long as baby is fine, I'm hoping I will be able to deliver naturally. It helps knowing people are waiting with me and are still excited :HH:

Too funny you still call me by my old username :) hee hee. I'm doing ok. I used two EPO yesterday afternoon, DTD with dh, relaxed in the bath and slept pretty well woke up twice with contractions and back/butt pressure.
Today I've woken up with a stuffy nose.. Some round ligament pain. But off to the doctors this afternoon - They changed my appointment from 9am to 4pm :( few more hours to wait in till I can see my litltle guy.
Because of the time change I'll have to go again tomorrow morning for my blood work to be done :(
This forum is like a ticking time bomb now.. I think theres 4 of us who could give birth 'Any day now'

Well this morning my water broke, I had some bloody plug so I said to Dh ' call your parents!' and then...
I woke up :sigh:
I'm not sure it was plug yesterday, had some more today, it's like Ewcm.
With ds2 I also lost the plug and he was born two days later, but then I had no doubts it was the plug, I don't remember now what it looked like then.
Girls our babies could all share their birthdays, wouldn't that be cool..

It would be cool for our babies to share the same birthdays! Focus on relaxing and recharging this weekend and then early next week you will have your baby!
Hope the appts go well Winter (sorry, can't get away from your old name lol!).

Lol journey and your evacuation techniques! I hope they work for you :)
I'm all good, feel pretty much back to normal now to be honest, Lily wakes twice in the night for a feed and I don't hear a peep out of her otherwise. I just saw my dr., baby is doing fine and cervix is soft and thinner, she it won't be long now.
So maybe he will be here before induction after all.
I'm saying he because I saw a huge penis on the screen lol, might have been an elbow or knee though.
At this point who cares, as long as it doesn't stay in for another nine months :)
Oh I'm going to be so happy if I can still give birth naturally or even in the water.
I shouldn't get too excited now..

Hey girls sorry for the delayed update my appointment was moved from 9am to 4pm. Damn it!
I went for my 37week growth scan today I'm 37w5d baby boy is doing great, No cord around his neck from what the doctor could see, He checked his weight and estimated it to be 6.2lbs. My EDD changed although I don't plan to tell my midwife Since it's been changing at single appointment, I'll see if she notices on my paper work. I've always gone by my LMP which makes the 20th Aug, 30week ultrasound put it at 22nd and now 37 week ultrasound put it at 28th. We told the midwife 22nd! She will let me go a max of 10 days over due.
The Doctor said he would like the baby to stay in side at least one more week to get bigger. This freaked DH out!
Now Dh thinks the baby is too small!
Baby is not engaged yet! Any tips on getting him engaged would be great ! !
but is it great position head down, facing the right way etc etc.
GBS test came back negative. :)
Tomorrow I will go back for blood test and pee test drop off and then off to see my midwife before she goes on holiday for a week and perhaps meet a back up midwife in case something were to happen before.
Doc didn't do an internal this time but asked to see me again on 17th August (2weeks time) I'll be 39w4d if i'm still pregnant.
So now what.. Continue with the EPO and DTD or relax and let nature take its course? Hmmm..

I woke up :sigh:
I got so excited reading this ! Soon.. It will happen soon ! !

I'm all good, feel pretty much back to normal now to be honest, Lily wakes twice in the night for a feed and I don't hear a peep out of her otherwise. Everything's been relatively easy so far I keep waiting for my hormones to go wild or for her to turn into a devil child lol but I feel like I'm coping really well :S
I'm hoping it's this easy for me. :)
Sorry for all the replies I hate to write on long one.. I never remember who said what - Who I'm quoting etc etc.

Journey it's not necessarily a problem if your little one isn't engaged, my first two never did before birth.
I saw a couple of days ago in ds2's birth report that when I went in at 8 am I was dilated 3 cm, he was still all high!
He was born 5 hours later! It doesn't have to mean anything.
I think on spinningbabies.com there is some advice and exercizes.

I've just been reading things on spinningbabies but it doesnt always make sense. Other forums just say, walk, bounce the ball and all fours.. I'm spending about an hour or so on the ball each day but it makes my lower back hurt more :/ .. All fours is when we dtd ;) and the walking well... Thats something Ill have to find the motivation to do lol.

journey, my youngest son was still high the day he was born. a week over due.
i was 4-5 cm dilated , and he was still high up, they broke my waters to get labour started, and as she broke it she pushed down on the top of my belly and forced out heaps of fluid, forcing him to drop down.
indira, dont tease us like that...lol...
i got all excited when i seen the first paragraph...lol

I'm not to sure what this Oil could even be other than castor oil which she said it wasn't.. But I'm working on DH and getting him to go in on the Saturday 18th rather than waiting in till Monday 20th lol.. I was explaining we will only be there for a few hours, monitor, oil and check cervix if nothing is happening she'll send me home. Or either way send me home to rest and come back on the Monday for 'something else'
I'll be 39w 5d on the 18th.. It could be a slow and long labor with irregular contractions for days..

Everything is fine, we're still in the hospital because I lost a lot of blood.

Just checking in 10 Days in till my due date - 6 Days in till my obgyn appointment - 8 Days in till I head to hospital for a non stress test. It's all getting a little exciting.
DH asked last night 'Do we have everything?' I said ' Yes most of it' 'Diapers?' 'Yes enough for about 4-5 days' 'Well we need to buy more.' :)
So we plan to go shopping on Thursday next week to pick up the last few bits.
But now I have another problem I'm still not 100% set on the name.. We have three names picked out Vincent (Vinnie) will be his first name. This can not change. But his middle name I love Kai and goes well with the long Vincent Kai..but I've also loved Adam since forever.. Does Vincent Adam sound too long?
DH is easy with the middle name - my choice since he picked the first name.

May I chime in here and ask about the non stress test?
I heard about it about three months ago. Does everyone have one? What do they look at? If it comes back bad will they induce you? Sorry I've never heard of it over here in Australia, I think if they did them it would be for multiples anyways. Just curious, sorry.

As far as I know - I'm just going to be hooked up to a monitor for a few hours to see if I'm having any contractions, How baby reacts to them..
I guess if there are problem they will induce or at least monitor for longer.
I've never had one before so it will be a first for me.
Although it will be my midwife doing it not my obgyn so as for induction I'm not to sure how that will work since my midwife is not a fan of induction or even a sweep.. She is willing for me to wait as long as it take. But wants to keep an eye on baby. Which I'm more than happy about.

Indira - That's amazing news :) I bet you can't wait. How has the healing been so far? and breastfeeding?

im in aus and i had to have one on my due date because i had high BP.
they basically take your BP several times and keep you on a monitor for a while to check bubs hr and any uterine activity.
all you have to do is lay there and drink water....lol real easy...
they also done an internal too to see if anything was happening with my cervix, but not sure if that was part of the NST or if it was just because i was due.

Thanks for the input on the name ladies :)
Just a little update on me - I had contractions every 30 mins from 11am till 8pm yesterday.. Plus a dull ache in my lower back. Lets hope for some cervical changes.
As for today I've woken up to worse ache in my left hip/ groin.. Baby moving down? or just my hips spreading?
No contractions today as of yet and its 12pm.
Relaxing day planned while dh works on the farm. Tomorrow we have our last Date Day planned.. Off out for lunch after church no cooking for me :) and then a long walk around a park in the city.
Perhaps the long walk will start some contractions off.

I made another post in pregnancy but perhaps you ladies can help here. I think baby has dropped in to my pelvis I'm feeling some jazzy movements down there. but also after walking today my whoha feels bruised.. Is it normal?
Kell
August 12th, 2012, 01:35 PM
Yep totally normal Hun, if he has dropped chances are it means he's engaged so his head is in your pelvis which can feel very uncomfortable and even painful.
I had SPD and suffered quite a lot of pelvic pain, it goes away pretty quickly after birth :)

Lol Indira, Isabelle is a month old now and I still continue to call her by ds2 name especially at night. I thought it was just me. Oh and i keep calling her a 'he' Sometimes I still can't believe I have a daughter.
Journey both names are nice maybe Kai flows a bit better but it's a middle name so it won't be said and used as much so it wouldn't matter which one you chose just go with your heart so you don't regret it.
Kell, Lily is gorgeous. IV and Journey thinking of you not long now

I have tried a few home methods, there is a homeopathic pill caulophyllum that I've been taking for a week, dtd every day, walking, doing things on all-fours like cleaning the floor and gardening etc etc. Nothing working so far. Seeing the midwife on Wednesday so will discuss sweep options and probably plan a date for induction (although I really hope I don't have to do that/ wait that long).
I have never been over with the others so am really impatient now. I always felt so sorry for other people who went over their due dates, I knew I'd cope badly!!
You'll probably have your baby before me Winter! That low feeling in the pelvis is a good sign but can be super uncomfortable and painful. Sounds promising though.

Indigo I was the same with the boys, I was in labour on my due dates so knew things would be happening soon, with Lily I went 5days over and hated it, I had the sweep and bam she arrived lol. I think if I didn't have it I would have still been waiting for a few days.
It doesn't help with the heat huh, hope your managing to rest a bit and chill out.
Not long till the babies arrive :)
