FR or abstain? Or neither?

I've been through (a lot) :oops: of old threads trying to get the answer but can't seem to get my head around if!

DH is 27 (me 26) and we are planning on doing one attempt for a few months before e4d but I can't understand if we need to abstain or do FR? Or does it not matter?

Neither abstain nor FR has gotten stellar results for us but I generally have everyone under 35 start off with abstain + one attempt unless there is some reason why they shouldn't.

Most people just want to feel like they've tried it. Doesn't mean you have to do it, and doesn't mean I believe in it, just that I figure it's pretty harmless for younger guys and we can drop it later on if you don't get pregnant.

How long should we abstain for? Does it mean just from sex or any release? Thanks again!

Any release for 7-10 days before your attempt.
