View Full Version : Is this boy stacking on my scan?

Can anyone guess the sex from the nub? I'm thinking there's stacking?

I should add the baby is 13 weeks 6 days. Thanks

Anymore side profile pics? It does look like stacking but because of the way the baby is positioned it may not be.

I have only one other that I don't think shows a nub but I will include the 12 week scan that is red, I changed the colour so I could see what the bright white line was more clearly. 3754437545

Well I think that's not a good nub shot. The position looks girly to me but I am not sure. I think 60/40.

this is not looking good. I've just paid £6k in north Cyprus for a girl with Pgd and throughout the scan it was a bright white raised nub

What kind of dgp did they do to your embryo?

Sevenboys&counting
September 5th, 2017, 05:12 AM
I'm not sure, it was at British Cyprusivf and all I was told was they do PGD for gender selection and this baby was supposed to be my only healthy female. I used donor eggs thinking I would get more eggs then I could on my own even thou I don't have any fertility problems. They wanted me to pay first before they would tell me how many embryos they had so I'm worried they only had a male embryo and thought the IVF would never work on the very first go anyway as they were surprised I got pregnant and contact has stopped with them completely now.

If you paid for PGD the odds are that it is a girl, but we have had at least one mistake from Cyprus in the past so keeping fingers and toes crossed for you.

I honestly can't tell from the shot you posted. I suspect it is just cut off in the shot - the way ultrasounds work they can kind of take a half/shot where parts of the body are cut off in the pic...obviously the baby has legs LOL even though they are not visible, and I think that's the case here as well. We just can't see what is really there.

Do you know which clinic in Cyprus made them the mistake?

Have you booked in for a blood test to confirm 100% either way whether you're carrying a boy or girl? I hope it's a girl x

I can't afford one as they are £300 around here and going cyprus has bankcrupt me literally lol. I will have to wait for a scan to confirm the gender but from the scan itself and not just the scan photo it was a very clear boy nub

I'm sorry to hear about the worry. To me it looks more a girl nub than a boy but it's not a great shot and probably because it's too early. I imagine you are climbing the walls.

Which clinic did you go to? Team Miracle?

Sevenboys&counting

It was British Cyprus IVF. I was booked to go with TM a few months before but I pulled out because I felt uneasy with them but I'm thinking I should of gone with them instead.

Were they formally known as Bahceci?

Im sorry they have cut contact, that really sucks. Did you have PGD testing or ACGH?

I know someone who has PGD, said embie was unhealthy, sent it to ACGH and it came back healthy but the opposite gender....

Can you go for another scan and get a second opinion?

I hope this is a mistake and you are carrying a baby girl after all. I think without a potty shot at 18w (babybond charge £39), it's all to play for.

My bet is a girl from the nub shot you have posted xx

I also hope it is a girl.
How many boys do you have already?

Sevenboys&counting

Mummy81: Yes they used to be called Bahceci, I do wonder why they changed the name now! Contact with them before I went out was perfect, they almost become a close friend but as soon as I got out there I felt I was just on a conveyer belt and I was left in a room for hours with a full bladder asking how many embryos we had but when she went to find out she came back and asked me to settle bill first and then said we only have one healthy girl! Out of 20 eggs from the donor! It was PGD as I hadn't heard about ACGH until after I had been and it does sound the better option from other people's feedback so I'd recommend to have that testing instead of the PGD.
Pepper: I have 6 living boys and have had 3 miscarriages all boys too. I'm obviously just destined to have boys even when I pay out £6k :tissue:

It doesn't sound a good experience at all. Who was your co-ordinator? I looked at bahceci and spoke to Zeren but have an flying out today for EC tomorrow at Clinic C.
I just hope you can have a rescan in a few weeks and the image is clearer. How are you feeling? Distraught or coping okay? Sending you big big hugs xxx.

I am so sorry about what you are going through. The only thing you can do now is to wait for the next scan. Do not loose hope yet as the image is not very clear. It can still be your girl.

My co-ordinator was Fatma but once I got to the clinic Fatma went home so I did meet Zeren. I'm literally heartbroken, especially as I've put this pic up on another forum and they are saying it's a boy.

I know you have spent a fortune on this but please go get a blood test and have this confirmed one way or another. Least then you know for certain as this is too upsetting and distressing to leave. Set up a crowd funding page so we can all throw in a fiver to help. What is DH saying? X

The British Cyprus IVF clinic (formerly bahceci) or Clinic C in Prague seem the favourites. Although depending on whether the Cyprus one did have a mix up you might be influenced.

Did you have the report that said female gender on? If not i would contact them and request it, maybe seeing the gender on the report will put your mind at ease.. x

If you pay the subscription, you can see all my story on my sticky. I am a happy 25th weeks pregnant with my dreamed baby girl.
I think HRC in US is the best clinic but too expensive for me so I decided to go to Genesis (Savvas) in south Cyprus. According to my research, I won't go to any clinic in the north of Cyprus.
Whatever you decide, I recommend you to get a lot of information before picking any clinic. I found this forum a great source of information and I am sure I wouldn't be pregnant with my dreamed girl without it.
Good luck to all of you!!

I think it's a girl nub tbh. I'd expect way more stacking at that gestation and I actually think it's just the angle rather than actual stacking at all. That said, the situation with your clinic is outrageous and I think you are absolutely right to feel disappointed with them and the communication.

Thank you Pepper and Ale2xy,and the other girls for your experience.
It remains a difficult choice. Genesis and Baheci are close by. Have many pregnancies come true. I only have to look at my age (35) where it works at once

I have read a lot of experiences on this forum and I haven't read about anyone going to Baccheli. I am just curious, could you please post the link to any successful experience at this clinic?
Please, be totally sure that you are reading true testimonies in case you decide to pick Baccheli.

Bahceci is the old name for the British Cyprus IVF clinic. Maybe it's on another group that everyone goes there rather than here on GD

It's definitely true that different forums have different biases towards different clinics

I'm on a facebook group with all good experiences at British IFV Cyprus before Bahceci. I've never heard of it before. Therefore it is so difficult to make a decision. I have also spoken many girls who have been to Genesis with good experiences too

I had a gender scan yesterday at 16 weeks and she couldn't get a good picture between the legs. Below is the best potty shot pic she gave me and just announced it MUST be a girl if I've had pgd but I'm still unsure 37701

You must be crawling the walls, I am sorry this is so drawn out for you

What's your plan? Will she not re scan you given she told you nothing that you feel you can trust?!

Well, she just told you it should be a girls. That's more than nothing!

Pepper - I said 'nothing' because I believe the sonographer told seven boys it is a girl because she had PGD, not based on the scan...

A boy should be very easy to detect at 16w though. I still think it's a girl [emoji176]
