All of my guesses from my other groups are girl, same with gender experts. FX!

You can't tell gender at this point of pregnancy. Boys and girls look alike during this stage.

I was just looking for some fun guesses. I apologize as I now see this wasn't the right place to do that.

The thing is, so many of us have gotten our hopes sky high by "fun guesses" only to find out a few weeks later that the reality of the situation which is that you cannot tell gender at this point because boys and girls are identical. And of course there is no way for us to know if any particular poster is coming to us from the "fun guess" camp or in the camp where many others are, where they will experience false hope or false despair - ending up totally crushed in the depths of despair if they hear one thing only to find out something else in a few weeks or having several weeks of pregnancy ruined by an inaccurate guess only to find out they're getting what they wanted all along anyway.

So, while I know that makes me out to be a terribly mean party pooper sometimes I prefer to err on the side of guarding people's hearts because I've seen too many people be absolutely devastated by "fun guesses".

Hope you get what you're wishing for.

I truly hope you get what you are wishing for.

I am very sorry that people online choose to give out inaccurate info but some of them do.

Please let me explain why it is impossible to tell gender at 11 weeks gestation.

Both boys and girls are identical - they both appear in every visible way to be girls - up until about 10 weeks. AT that point, the Y chromosome, which was dormant, "wakes up" and starts churning out testosterone. It is this testosterone that makes what had looked like girly bits turn into boy-ly bits and this process, while it starts in the 10th week, takes 2-3 weeks to do this (and it varies slightly by individual baby so some you can tell fairly early along in the 12th week, but some nubs can still rise even at the end of the 13th). No one can tell off of an ultrasound shot at 11+1 on any baby. So until that process has taken place it is just impossible to tell because every baby looks like a girl and people can guess girl on 11 week nub shots and be right 50% of the time.

Good luck and pink dust coming your way.

I suffered from severe, and I mean severe GD with my first child. While I did sway for pink, I'm totally in a place of peace with whichever I get because frankly, getting pregnant so quickly at 40 is in and of itself a miracle and so I'm in a lighter place. I understand others are not and I'm not trying to make light of what brought many people here. That's why I apologized, because I see this isn't the place for it. I certainly don't think you're a mean party pooper, this is the internet and this is the least mean place I've probably ever visited!
