I have been researching endlessly all summer, and every time I think I have it figured out, I find something that tells me complete opposite of what I thought. I am TTC our little girl to complete the family. I have 2 boys now and we are all ready for a little girl in the house. Few questions for anyone who might be able to help:

1. I tried all summer to do the LE diet, but actually ended up gaining weight because my body does not respond to carbs (trying to the low nutrient thing) and I have a very physical job and lose weight when I actually increase my calorie intake plus my job doesn't allow me to sit down and eat meals theoughout the day, and night time is a joke because I'm trying to get everyone else to eat before myself. I know weight loss is a big thumbs up for girls, but I literally can't lose weight unless I start changing this way of eating. The crystal light/Diet Coke is killing my stomach, giving me head she's, and bloating me like crazy. What do I do?!

2. Supplements - I have been reading a million mixed reviews. Is it worth it and what should I and my DH be taking?

3. Timing - this is the most mind blowing to me! Do we just do one shot of DTD or should we be doing more? It seems from people I talk to that abstinence and 1 attempt yields more girls, but is this actually true? My husband and I are 30. We had trouble conceiving DS1, mostly because I got very confused with timing and I think we were DTD 1-2x a day for 2-3 weeks at a time 😬 DS2 came as soon as we began trying.

I appreciate it any input anyone may have. This is our last baby, and I just want to say I gave it my all no matter what happens!

1)Hi missy. You need to be on an alternate version of the diet if you have trouble with carbs. Please have a look at this thread (not the PCOS stuff, there are a couple different versions of diet either of which you'll do better with) https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html

Stop the Crystal Light and Diet Coke. I don't even think they do anything and only keep them around because some people insist upon them.

2)Most people any more are taking only folic acid or folate, and fiber. You may want to add in myoinositol (Pregnitude) as well since you ahve trouble losing weight. we've had great results with that.

3)Abstain hasn't worked, you can give it a try if you'd like though. One attempt HAS, for reasons we can only guess at. Many of us got girls with one attempt after repeated failed sways and I do highly recommend it.

Re your first son's conception - conceiving the first time seems to be hard for some people. Then it's as if our bodies learn to do it and can conceive subsequent pregnancies more easily. And DTD several days in a row can actually prevent conception because by the time the egg shows up your hubby is shooting nothing but dust. So let's not do that this time and I suspect you will get pregnant easily again.

Thank you! I've been searching this website over and over but kept coming up with older information. It worried me that I was possibly using information that has been disproven otherwise
.
Is there any other way to lower my pH that I should be trying? I've read about douches and the lubricants which I will try.

So for DTD - should he be releasing every 2-4 days (either on his own or with protection with me), then at +OPK try our one attempt? I thought the 2-4 days was a boy sway thing, but maybe I'm wrong.

I'll look at that diet - thank you! The only way my body loses weight is with constant snacking on healthy items to keep my metabolism revving. I realize that's not what I should be aiming for, but I'm trying! I keep reading calcium and magnesium create the perfect environment for girls, but o can't find calcium without vitD, which apparently sways boys. I'll just skip the vitamins then if they aren't really doing anything for anyone.

And what about coffee for a girl sway? I've been drinking 2 cups a day but some sites suggest no coffee at all

If you're a big pH believer then yes try the jellies. Some people do still douche, I've never been a fan of it but I do have a very detailed writeup on how to douche if you want me to post it for you.

None of the frequency stuff really made much of a difference (including the every 2-4 days' release for blue unless it was unprotected sex!). So follow your gut on that. If you want to try with abstain, that's fine, or daily release for 7-10 days in advance of the one attempt. The important thing is the one attempt.

If you can't get by with 3 meals, go to 4 or even 5. It's still different than eating all day every day. The LE Diet is flexible, you can change it to work better for your needs.

Myself and a lot of others got boys with cal-mag. I personally don't believe it but if you do, you can use Tums as a source of calcium instead. It doesn't have Vit. D (or didn't use to, I swear they change these vitamins every other day!) and it will work for your calcium. Just be sure you take them in supplement form and DO NOT just eat the tons and tons of dairy foods some sites recommend.

Can someone clear up the coffee recommendations? I love it and with 2 LO I could use all I can get!

Also - I just learned about exercise. I've been doing HIITs (using body weight for muscle building) and the 21 day fix exercises. I'm assuming those are out? We love going for walks (nothing extreme just to get the dog and kids out). Are those forbidden too? I know I can't commit 1 hour of straight exercises every day, so I don't know if I need to cut everything out or if I can continue my walking at least? I've been exercising 1/2 hour almost every day of moderate intensity (I aim for 200 cal burn via fit bit) but it's mostly toning

THANK YOU!

Oh sorry whoops!!

Yes coffee has been a strong pink sway for us. I know on some sites they say it sways blue but their information makes no sense and is decades outdated. We get exceptional resuts for us.

Yes if you can find something that isn't muscle building that's great. Walking is perfect and I recommend that above all else since it's less likely to cause injury. If there's any way to get up to 60 minutes evne just 4 days a week that really helps, but I don't want ANYONE to give up going for walks with their kids for a sway!! Keep doing that!
