Starting the IVF process

Hello.. switching over to this tread from the TTC thread.. Starting the journey of IVF this week with the pre- testing .. Today is cycle day 1 and day 3 I will go in for some blood work.. They also want me to start birth control on that day as well.. Excited and scared for this journey.. not sure what to expect .. :pinksperm:

Currently started BCP.. kind of ironic when you are trying to get pregnant!! I start shots Oct 3.. i have done all the preliminary testing and have gotten the go ahead.. We found out my husband has very low sperm count thru this testing which explains why I wasn't getting pregnant the last year! It's all happened very quickly .. I have my egg retrival OCT 24.. then 6 days later a transfer ..

I just completed my first week of injections ... I start my stim meds Monday ! So that will mean 3 shots a day for about 10 days [emoji44]

Honestly the injections have not been too bad! The main side effect I have are constant headaches.. I just finished my fifth night of stims and I have been working out and not bloated at all.. I do feel more tired. I have another ultrasound and blood work Monday morning to check how the follicles are doing.

Honestly the injections have not been too bad! The main side effect I have are constant headaches.. I just finished my fifth night of stims and I have been working out and not bloated at all.. I do feel more tired. I have another ultrasound and blood work Monday morning to check how the follicles are doing.
I am glad everything is doing well keep us posted on the progress.:fx:

update.. the meds weren't as bad as i expected based on youtube videos i had watched.. The main side effect I had were horrible headaches.. I had my egg retrieval last Friday and had a really bad outcome.. only 6 eggs were retrieved and only one of those was mature and it did fertilize.. HOrrible... I had no idea this could be an outcome everything was going perfect.. I hear tomorrow if that one egg made it to day 3 and I will talk to DR about what next.. If I do another cycle they will have to change my meds because my body did not respond to the stim meds I guess.. wish they had told me this before i spent 17k

miracles happen ! I got a phone call this one egg that was retrieved made it to day 5 for testing and came back as a normal female... still in shock.. I went from worst case scenario to best case scenario in week!

Sorry I️ haven’t checked in for a while ! I️ will have the transfer in January .. they wanted me to have two periods before the transfer for the best possible outcome ...

UPDATE :pinksperm: Currently 8 weeks pregnant with my baby girl! Heart the heartbeat last week and all is going well!
