Hi all,

I am new to posting but have been reading up on the info on this site for a while now, it's amazing!

My DH and I have one beautiful little 2 yr old boy and would love to try and sway for a DD.

The tricky thing is that the past year has been very stressful and I lost a lot of weight and have had to gain weight recently (from BMI 15/16 - BMI 19) to be able to ovulate. Is there anything I could do to counter act this recent weight gain's effect on my sway? As I know it sways blue.

For the past month I have been having no snacks and mainly vegetarian instead of LE. My fat intake is probably quite high though. I also haven't breakfast regularly since my DS was born.

When my DS was conceived I definitely had a high fat / protein / calorie diet and ate breakfast every day. My weight was only a few kilos more than it is now (I have a fast metabolism!).

I have irregular cycles and was actually on vitex when I conceived my DS. I was hoping to take vitex again as it helps me conceive and I’ve read it sways pink, but because I conceived a son on vitex (and it definitely increases my fertility) should I try and conceive without it?

I’ve also been taking fibre before most meals, taking cinnamon, calcium and magnesium and folate. And I drink 3-4 cups of coffee a day - I never drank coffee before having my DS!

Timing wise we are going to try one attempt (if we can time it correctly!). Might also take a Sudafed a few hours before.

Also, I take 20 mg of somac (a PPI) a day for acid reflux – not sure if anyone knows if this can affect a sway?

If anyone has anything to add or any comments that would be much appreciated, thank you!!

Weight gain has not been predictive of gender conceived. We thought it would be more of a sway tactic than it really is. So please don't worry about that. It is time on diet and how depleted you are (and it sounds to me like you have been eating a lot less and are depleted and have been for a while.) BMI 19 is still totally in girl zone.

you should NOT be on cinnamon. That is only for people who have weight to LOSE. Please drop that.

I really think it's a terrible idea for you to take vitex. I feel vitex helps only people who lose ovulation due to PCOS. You have the opposite problem, you're so thin that your O has gotten spotty. Vitex will likely just aggravate it.

I think the PPI sway pink, they block absorption of nutrients.

No Sudafed. It has been linked to strokes in younger women. You can give it to your hubby if you'd like, though. Just one, about 1-2 hours before attempt.

Thank you atomic! I really appreciate your reply. I will stay off the vitex, cinnamon and sudafed and just stick with the mainly vego diet, coffee etc.

I still think my fat intake is quite high because I crave it but I'm trying to not stress about it. I just feel like I'm not really doing enough I guess!

Thanks again

As long as you're having vegetable fats it's all good with those. They may sway pink and while it's not a free for all you can get by with eating 60-70 g, many do.
