trying to catch up!! our moving date is now locked in as the 22nd september, what happened was that us and our buyers (with our solicitors) were all working for the 13th but our seller (and their solicitor) were for some reason not fully aware and then they weren't ready to exchange contracts in time.. we all exchanged yesterday so now the date is set and if anyone doesn't abide by it they can be forced to comply.. all very frustrating but on the plus side i just cant wait to be moved to a bigger house in a more rural place :)

someone asked about Ttcblue18, i heard from her the other day she is doing good but struggling to log on, she had a scan and baby's due date has changed to the 31st march so shes in this group :D she posted scan pics on her sway thread and will find out gender next month.

Sky-thats fantastic you're staying active. I don't know how you do it. I keep telling myself I'm going to walk at night and never do. I work fulltime and I think that's my problem, I come home, make dinner, get the kids ready for bed and do homework and then I'm napping on the couch lol. And I've gotten some off comments from both sides of the family on my girls. My SO's brother is staying with us temporarily and he keeps making comments about it and I'm trying not to be a monster but he's really ticking me off.

Shann-I feel the ms pain. I had it until 16 weeks and now I'm starting to feel nauseous again and I'm 19 weeks.

Ash- I hope you feel better.

And good luck to all of you who aren't finding out the gender. I don't have the will power for that lol. Girl clothes are so much cuter then boy clothes.

Good luck to everyone with upcoming appointments! My next one is the 21st for our anatomy scan.

4b2p- Great that all worked out between you and the seller and so exciting that you are moving on sep 22nd. Congratulations on your new house. Thank you for the update about ttc blue. I asked about her. [emoji4][emoji4]
Bluebooties - Thank you. 🤞2 hours to go. [emoji52] Will update as soon as I could.

Mommaxo3 - I tried to walk a lot with dd along with eating not so healthy. I was still lighter than I m right now n yet ended up having c section.
Was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 11 weeks in this pregnancy so I m eating the healthiest than I have ever eaten in my life n walking n even working out when I eat any carbs because otherwise my blood sugar spikes. I test 4 times a day [emoji52] so the fear of the high number is kicking my butt. [emoji12]
You are a super woman to be working n then getting busy with the kids n pregnant. I could never do that. And having someone living with you who doesn't think before speaking is super annoying. Hang in there and just ignore. Hugs. Will wait for an update on 21st.

I didn't ask questions as to what they could see to tell boy, as soon as I heard that I was in total shock. What do you think based on the ultrasound pics? Can you see anything specifically that says boy? I don't know how to interpret skull, nub, etc.

Max-so glad to hear that baby is healthy and the hematoma is healing! I know you really wanted another girl but trust me that when he gets here you will be so in love and a mother and son bond is like no other. I remember when having my 4th son I was kind of sad because I thought I already have 3 I just want a daughter but then I had him and he and I had the closest bond I had had with any of my other boys. He and I still have that bond and he's now 5. I don't know what I'd do without him. Anyway, I can tell you in my experience boys breastfeed better as well, so that may work out well for you this time so you don't have to pump at all this time. My daughter had a mind of her own, she would get mad because it didn't come out fast enough and she would refuse to eat and just scream and whine. So I ended up exclusively pumping for her for 8 months until I got so sick my doctor made me stop. But pumping is not a good experience in my opinion anyway. I am looking forward to a good nursing bond with this baby boy that I am having. I know that you will be a wonderful mom to a son and he will be so loved by you and your husband.☺

Thanks ladies! I'm 11 weeks now. The umbilical cord was wrapped around the lower part so I thought it looked like a boy....when I asked, they both guessed boy. I didn't ask for details. I got the Mateniti21 so will have final results within 10 days. I guess I'll know by then. I think my sway plus Femara just really had me thinking and prepared for girl, so this just has me in disbelief.

Kat, I didn't even know I could do PMs until recently for some reason! I don't see one from you, am I missing it?

Max just hadn't been getting positives on opks and hadn't been getting pregnant. So she said if I don't conceive this month to start the femara cd 5-9, then if not conceived then do cd 3-7.
Then if not pregnant to come back in and we will discuss further options.

Congrats on a healthy baby Maxi. I wouldn't take the guess to heart too much. I've always been told they look almost the same that early on and theres a lot of room for error. But the blood test wont lie. I had a tech guess mine was a boy at 13 weeks and my 16 weeks they said girl. I guess my next scan will be the tie breaker haha.

Sky-It's definitely a whirlwind lifestyle. I always say I hit the ground running in the morning and don't stop until I get in bed at night. I'm sooo back and forth about what I need to do when baby comes whether I'm staying home or going back to a job I hate. Any appointment updates? Edit**I just saw the update lol

Mommy2apples- I've heard good things about Femera. Have you been temping as well? My opks looked like that and my doctor wouldn't give me anything. We tried for over a year.

maximbella
September 14th, 2017, 04:13 PM
Sky, glad it went well!! You're amazing for being able to turn away! I was glued trying to look the whole time!

Robin, my RE went straight to Femara because my uterine lining thickness. I think atomic says that Femara sways slightly more pink than clomid does? I could be wrong on that....

Maybe I just had a jerk doctor. He told me my miscarriage "restarts the clock" when it came to TTC. We tried for 15 months but lost one about 8 months in. A few weeks before I got pregnant he sent me for blood work and my SO for semenalysis and only because I was non stop calling and going there. "I'm not getting any younger sir." I tried to get him to prescribe clomid. Do you have a bd schedule? We did a loose version of the sperm meets egg plan.

I'm so sorry momma. I have a good relationship with this ob, she took care of my last two miscarriages and I've been going through her ever since. She actually sits down and listens to me. Your dr does sound like a jerk. She wants me to do eod, but have been doing e3d instead, to try to sway pink. Going to talk to Atomic and see which she wants me to do which plan to follow the eod or e3d.

thankyou shann :) this is the first time basically ever that we will really have the space that we need

max super cute baby!! that is very early for them to be guessing, it annoys me a bit when they do this because it can build false hope or cause upset when it really isnt possible to tell boys and girls apart reliably on a scan yet especially with a cord wrapped down there! im glad you've got your blood results coming back soon to give you the definitive answer and that is great news about the hematoma :)

Pbn3
September 14th, 2017, 04:46 PM
Max I'm not sure why your docs would even guess at 11 weeks??!!! The nub looks the same for both boy and girl, the genitals haven't even formed yet??!! I would put zero stock in their 'guess' and wait for the bloodwork xxoo Cute baby btw [emoji3][emoji7]

Sky omg I was speed reading trying to get to when you said gender and....... you still don't know!!!! You are doing amazing not finding out! So will you ask dh? I sure hope his family dont slip up if you're planning on not knowing.

Mommy2apples eeeeeeek!!! Look at that opk!!!! Your going to get an attempt in right?! And glad the appt went well and you get to try femara if this cycle is a bust. She didn't go along with an ultrasound then?

Huge congrats on a healthy baby Max! 11 weeks is WAY to early to predict gender. I'm surprised they said anything to you. Unless the baby was measuring ahead and a scrotum was visible, I really would suspend judgement. I would prepare to hear boy and hope for a girl!

Sky- I'm so glad baby looks healthy! Don't worry- sometimes baby doesn't always cooperate for them to get their measurements. I'm sure your sweet baby is doing just fine! FWIW, I think it's awesome you're still waiting to find out! It's good you are self aware and know it's best for you to wait. I'm hoping and praying you don't experience any GD only profound love for your sweet baby!

Max - I am sorry my friend. I thought u were ok with either. I didn't want to ask dh the gender after 12 week u/s because even the tech said that it's not 100%. I kept telling dh to not get his hopes up because it may change. I would say that u still have a very good shot as you are only 11 weeks. Hope I didn't upset you more. I apologize. Hugs. But I am so glad that the baby is healthy.

Sky-yay, so happy all was well, but sorry they didn't get all the info they needed! At least it'll be another chance to see your sweet baby! Wow, I'm so impressed that you didn't give in!!
Max-precious baby, but can't tell gender from the pics. The tech must have gotten a good view to take a guess that early. Can't wait for you to get your nipt results back!! I know you really wanted another girl & surprising to hear boy with your sway, Femara & girl friendly lifestyle. However, all I know at the moment are boys & they are pretty awesome. I just KNOW you'll fall in love with him!! You'll have a precious mini-me of DH & you'll get to experience the boy mom life haha. You'll be his 1st love & he'll think you're the most beautiful woman in the world! One day, you'll get to have the mother-son dance at his wedding. You get to go shopping for cute clothes & you can coordinate with your girlies. Your girls will LOVE their baby brother!! [emoji170] I hope their guess was wrong b/c you wanted another girl so badly, BUT if it's a boy, you will most likely discover it's a blessing in disguise. Of course babies are always blessings, but I mean the kind of blessing where you realize just how perfect he is for your family once you meet him!!

its a different sort of excitement isnt it pbn :) of course i was excited to meet my other babies but that was being excited to meet *him* or to meet *her* this time its like excited to meet baby AND see who they are :)
a friend of mine just had her 3rd baby a couple of weeks ago, all 3 have been team green babies and seeing her new one in the neutral newborn baby gro's and blankets is adding to the excitement

Thank you xxforhubby. You made me feel a lot better. I was actually worried because it didn't happen with dd. I knew the tech was having a hard time since she asked me to turn and tried to change many angles. The baby won't stop moving. [emoji12] Thank you for your kind words. I
didn't think I had in me to say no to Finding out gender today but It just came out of my mouth and dh immediately told the tech but she is fine with me finding out. [emoji23][emoji23] I told her yes and then
She asked me to look away. She typed it on the screen for him to
Look.
He is looking very impatient to tell me though. I am warning him to stay quiet. [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849][emoji849][emoji849]
He was so quiet during u/s and I thought it's a girl hence the silence. I am going to stop reading him now.
The bright side to all this is that I will take the next appointment for a follow up u/s as per dd's school
Timings so that she can see the baby too. I asked the tech and she said it's ok to take her.

Glad your appointments went well ladies!!!!!

Mommy2apples, that is all very encouraging :)

Sky, glad Bub is well, and wow you are strong for looking away!!! I bet it's your boy if hubs is so keen to tell everyone :D

Max, yay on the SCH going down and Bub being healthy ! I can't see any nub on there, but the doc/tech likely saw something else to be that concurrent on gender, but it is suuuuper early still...I wouldn't put too much stock into it, you'll have the Nipt results soon to know for sure.
Understand that is not your wish, but man if it is a boy, so surprised and uber envious haha and I think you'll be happy having a little man just as much, spoiled by his sisters :)

Sky so glad yourscan was well . Since your bringing dd next time will you be able to resist finding out if she asks if it's a brother or sister?
Afm I am still vomiting! I'm getting a little worried I've not ate since yesterday lunch I just tried to eat 4 crackers and that didn't work. I'm not only vomiting but going to the bathroom also [emoji15]. I've only been able to keep down one glass of water [emoji853] if I'm not better by tomorrow I'll be giving the ob a ring. I've already lost 5lbs and that can't be good! Took DD1 for her 4 y.o check up this am...and it was horrrrrible, much worse than any shot she's ever had, now she was big enough to understand what was coming so had to hold her down for the shot:( felt like I was betraying her, but she needs her immunisation for daycare and school so no choice (beyond her health and that of other,s of course ).. I did bribe with a lollipop (which she gets like never) but still was not a happy camper. No wonder I found it hard to pin her for the vaccines missy is 1.08m tall and just over 19kg! i wish there was an easy answer :( but its just one day at a time, i really dont think there is much else you can do especially at the start  it is a long road and you have to do what it right for you and your family, are you being given options for delivery and seeing baby etc? i hope you arent being forced into anything.

have you ever seen Carlymarie Dudley and her site Project Heal? she is in Australia (perth i think) and set up the most amazing online support community with her husband Sam after they lost their baby boy, she is on facebook, instagram and also has a website, there is so much amazing support on there from people who have been through the same thing and understand.

Carly also does gorgeous beach artwork for parents who have lost babies/children if that is something you would want, we have one of her beach butterfly pics for our daughter.

thinking of you and your family and if there is anything i can do or questions i can answer or anything please dont hesitate to ask xx

Bluedreaming, one step at the time, you need not pressure yourself with when you need to 'be over it' because frankly I think it is something that stays with you forever, more deeply ingrained, more discreet, as life takes over..but there nevertheless.
I hope the process can be as "easy" as possible for you, so you can heal your heart and soul.

4b2p, omg the artwork from Carly is vibrant..I love the butterfly pictures, there was one that stood out so much it gave me goosebumps and tears to my eyes.
I wish I had known about the network she has set up back when we lost our little one as early as it was still in the pregnancy still, I was a mess and felt so alone.

Big hugs :hugs: Bluedreaming

They are doing a d and c on Monday morning at 8am. 4blue2pink bub stopped growing at about 8 weeks so unfortunately won't be able to see it or anything. I was told I could go natural, medically which means tablets and clots get passed or surgically.
With two small children I couldn't let them see me go through it medically seeing I would be at home.
They did say they would do what they could to find out the gender for me as I said it would help me a lot with the grieving process.
No I haven't heard her will have a look on fb. Thank You so much. I never thought I'd go through something like this

LMSM her work is gorgeous, i too felt very lonely and feel very lucky to have stumbled across her page within a few months of losing our daughter, she is an amazing lady, her husband is becoming more involved now and they have just released a project/film for bereaved fathers which is amazing as there is literally nothing out there for the dads :( you dont have to be new to your loss to follow her page or projects or even just enjoy the artwork and stunning photo's she takes.

Bluedreaming i understand your decision to take the surgical route, i am so glad they are willing to try and find out the gender for you, i think that knowing will really help
its very early days to be throwing all this at you but just know that even though you cant see baby due to the gestation as you explained above there are still so many things you can do to create a place for this little one if thats what feels right for you, as LMSM said no one thing is right for everyone and there is no time limit on grief xx

not silly at all picking a name, you would have named baby so why should it be any different now, we named our daughter Leah-May and we have things with her name on including her memory box, her carlymarie picture and her shelf that hangs in our living room, you arent going on at all, 6 years ago i was in your position, its all-consuming and life shattering :( you aren't alone, very sadly 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in loss, it is so much more common than most of us realise but it never gets spoken about which leads to isolation :(

anything any of us on here can help with just ask, and keep posting if it helps you to do so  you and your baby are as much a part of this group as any of us, and we would love to hear your name choice and future updates if you choose to share them xx

Mommy2apples- It looks positive from here and if not it's pretty close. I'm glad you like your doctor. I've been seeing mine for 12 years and up until ttc I liked him. Good luck!

LMSM - your little girl is so tall. My peanut is going to be 6 just after thanksgiving and shes only 36in which (according to google) is .9144m. Shes super small lol. But I'm a little on the short side myself.

Bluedreaming - I'm so heartbroken for you but thats really nice of them to try and determine gender. I never had an u/s with the one i lost over 7 weeks and I felt like I had no proof the baby ever existed like it was all in my head and I passed everything by the time I had a chance to go into the er, I was bleeding heavily for about 3 days. Picking a name is most definitely not weird. I've heard it helps some grieve. I hope you can find some comfort during this emotional time.

Ash- I was told by a Perinatologist at my hospital that the more active the baby is at any stage, indicates a chill temperament once they're born. He printed off the study for me to read, and I was surprised at the very large sample size for the study (300,000 babies!!)! I hope it holds true for me, because she has always been very active when she's awake! She also sleeps a lot too!

(Thanks for the reassuring info XX) I don't get lots of kicks with the anterior placenta, but this one just keeps rolling. UGH. Some days, I would just really like a break as at times it will make the ms worse. :( But at least I know baby is active and healthy. :)

Just throwing this out to the universe, will everyone stop insisting this baby is a girl!!! Even if I tell them I am sure it is a boy, they contradict me. UGH. It is getting old.

Shan, I get it! And I love that you're putting it out in the universe. I'm a big believer in that!

Ok so because I like to drive myself absolutely insane, I've overanalyzed the sonogram pics a million times trying to see what they saw as "boy". Is this it?? I honestly am clueless on my iPhone so this is the best "arrow" I could get to point to what I'm referring to (see the very small purple line? [emoji23]). Anyway, is that a boy nub?? I've spent like an hour trying to google boy/girl skull theory and once again I'm clueless, the baby doesn't look like either to me. Does anyone have thoughts?! I'm trying to get myself used to the idea of boy, but like Shan, I'm putting it out there in the universe with hope that this is still my third little lady!! [emoji175][emoji120]🤞

Max that COULD be the nub but I think it's even to early for that to be correct. But if it was I'm not sure I'd consider it a boy nub. Skull does look a little more boyish (boxy right) but I don't think that's reliable either

Max - I would not put too much faith into what they told you. It is too early to tell. If by chance they end up being right and you are having a boy, it is just a coincidence. At this stage, boys and girls look the same. Praying you get your blood test results soon, so you can get some rest.

Thanks ladies! I really wish I didn't ask, I was SO sure girl all along and now I'm doubting (even though the u/s was so early). I know that DH is excited after hearing that it's potentially a boy, which makes this that much harder since I so want a girl. You know?!

Max I could never go by skull theory. Yours looks like my middle daughters u/s around 12 or 13 weeks. I know you're driving yourself nuts by looking at it non stop trying to figure it out. I did this from 13weeks to now. My 20 week scan is next week and I hope its still a girl! They told me boy around 13 weeks though too. I can't tell you how many hours I stared at the last potty shot looking for confirmation its a girl without the 3 lines that my first 2 had.

O no just had a chat with one of my nurses whose daughter in law is due today and she was told she has to wait till 40 weeks 2 days b4 induction for non medical reasons can be done. The reason they were told is "hospital policy/protocol".
I sure hope thats not the case and i can get induction at 39 weeks electively.
I think i moved to the wring state to have this baby, no USG policy no induction policy arghh [emoji53]

Awww how pretty Lola! Is your next scan in 4 weeks? Good thing about a breech [emoji23] scans more often! Sure do hope they flip for the 3 of us pbn was breech on her 20w also. And now I see you may only get one more [emoji853] boo... I think after my scan Friday if they get what's needed I will only have one more later on to check baby's size unless something else is needed which it usually is for me. Not complaining though love seeing them!
Kat how exciting! I may be after you? I have another on Friday to get measurements they weren't able to because of position.
Blue I sure hope they'd understand your situation do you work in the same hospital you'll deliver in? Maybe they could show some sympathy since you need this to be able to work more for them!

I haven't had them check me yet, although I will at my appointment on Monday. I was in false labor all day yesterday. I am SO glad that I was informed that pre-labor/false labor contractions close to your due date are more painful than in previous pregnancies! They wore me out! Thank goodness my body responded to them today by increasing my pain tolerance.

She's definitely coming soon! Who does a once over through their entire house before putting the kids to bed and cleaning/sizing the car seats [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]! Um nesting much [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]!

My DH came downstairs to check on me and was like, "Do you know it's bed time?". I replied, "For you maybe". He said, "I'm worried about you". Cue the eye roll from me. He then said, "You're nesting". I reply, "Uh yeah! Who else is going to get all of this ready?" He shakes his head and says, "You're crazy"! He finally makes himself helpful by giving me a hand to get up off the floor. 🤣🤣🤣

Off to bed to rest up! I'm 38 weeks tomorrow!

Ash-my 1st was breech, so I did get more U/S for him. For this one, it doesn't matter if she's breech since it'll still be a c-section either way. I'm glad all is well, but always love the chance to see baby!!

XX so exciting :) i had false labour the night before my youngest (#6) was born, the pains were sharper and worse than anything i had during the actual labour it was so odd, but now you say that about it getting worse the more you have im expecting the same kind of deal again, and your spot on with active babies being the chilled ones once they arrive :D

4b2p- it's so strange though, in this pregnancy with my placenta being in the front a lot of her movements even now are muffled. When I had my scans, I was so shocked at how active she was! I blew my mind! You would think at 20 weeks I would feel her, but not near as much as what was captured during the scan! I'm sure it's the same way now. I feel the large movements, but that is it. My placenta is at the very top and completely in front, like a thick blanket, haha!

XX im convinced my placenta is anterior this time, ive had both with my previous babies and the anterior ones definitely do absorb a lot of the movements and they never feel as strong as they do when placenta is on the back out the way, this baby is active but the movements feel muffled somehow and even at 25 weeks you cant really see any movements on the outside so im betting on it being at the front.

Hello everyone.
Lolla - Such a cutie. Congratulations once again on your precious baby girl. ❤️❤️
Ash - So glad you are feeling better. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you. Take it easy for a few days because throwing up makes you feel so weak. Did you have a c-section with any of your boys? Why are u going to have a c-section this time? Sorry I may have missed that part before.
LMSM - I have faith that you will get your little boy soon. He is just taking sometime to join your family. ❤️❤️[emoji847][emoji847] So excited for your scan.
Pbn - How are you? Are U at your mom's? Hope the drive was not too tiring.
Kat - Scan on Monday. Yay. I love this week. Can't wait.
Bluebooties- I too hope that you get your induction when u are hoping for. Good luck for the appointment. It's on 21st right? My memory has been so foggy lately. I missed an appointment the other day and am still beating myself for it ever since. Ughhh the controlling personality. Can't wait for your appointment though ❤️❤️
Xxforhubby- I am so badly waiting to hear your Birth announcement and see your little girl. I bet she will make all our hearts melt. Thinking about you and praying for an easy delivery. ❤️❤️❤️❤️[emoji847][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847]
4b2p - Wow. I had no idea that the sways have a phase. But reading so much here about boy sways, I thought blue sways are easier than pink which isn't the case though. How are you doing? When is your next scan?
Max - How are you feeling dear? Can't wait for the Nipt results.
Bluedreaming- How are you my friend? Thinking about you. Hugs.
Sumbal - Hope u r doing ok? Would love to hear from you. It's been so long.
Afm, I went to my OB appointment yesterday and she asked about flu shot so I got one. Have you all taken it too? I took it with my dd too.

They were not able to take all the pictures on my anatomy scan so we are going again in 3 weeks but the good thing is that I got the appointment on the day when dd has a holiday and she gets to go see the baby too. ❤️❤️ She has never seen the baby on screen yet. Just the pictures. [emoji4] So I am excited for her.
I just wanted to share this U/s picture which I found really cute.

Sky that ultrasound pic is gorgeous  so cute!! it is funny how the sway successes seem to go in cycles but i guess its normal for their to be times where blue will do well and then times where it goes down a bit and the same for pink.. i bet your DD will love watching the scan :)
yes i thought blue sways would be easier than pink but then when i read about the HE diet and the types of foods and all the supplements and the strict bd schedule i soon realised that i would really really struggle with it!! so i take my hat off to all the blue swayers and i really do hope the results pick up for blue soon :)

4b2p - That's so true. When I read about the supplements for blue sway, I was lost. I knew I couldn't do that no matter what. I just took my prenatal, folic acid and fish oil since that came with prenatals. And took Mucinex tablets around O time. And I was so tired of all of it in 3 cycles. But honestly that helped me get pregnant faster. With my first, we tried for 7-8 cycles and this time I got bfp in 3rd cycle. I m sure I was more fertile because of being on blue diet. But the success rate is a different story all together.

I had no problem doing the supplements, it was more the meat intake. I eat a lot of chicken and fish, but I tried to eat more red meat and a lot more eggs and nuts. I got pregnant quickly too, and I felt really healthy leading up to the bfp, so I felt good about improving my fertility (and drastically increasing our BD attempts!)

Morning lovelies,

Bluedreaming – special thoughts for you today – hope all goes as well as it possibly can hon :hugs:

Dancing – oh no, that sucks – glad you are ok now and that and baby wasn’t affected – there seems to be sick people all over – am surrounded at work, it’s a wonder I don’t have the flu!!
You would think that with winter supposedly over, flu season would be too – seems it’s worse now than in June-August!

Bluebooties – one step at the time – first see baby, fall in love – and then decide what you want to do with finding out or not ;)

I know it’s still night for you guys but in advance – have a good scan Kat, looking forward to your update with pics of your latest gorgeous creation ;)

Sky – you know I actually dreamt last night that you had asked hubby to tell you gender because we were too impatient – and it was a boy – so please indulge us
Love that cute little hand waving hello! Your DD will adore seeing her sibling wriggling on the screen :awe:

Srg – how did the glucose test end? Were you ok?

PBN – were you just going back and forth for the day at your mum’s or are you staying longer since it’s school holidays? (sorry, you probably mentioned but my brain is a sieve!)

Also, anyone have the issue of MS getting worse at a time where it is supposed to actually be easing?
I’m almost 13 weeks – had what seemed like a betterment around 11 weeks and the last 1.5 weeks it’s been getting worse again – I dry reached this am brushing my teeth :(
I am seeing my midwife on Friday so will raise it with her but if any of you have natural remedies to advise, am all ears!!!
We also told the girls the gender of baby, as DD1 decided she wanted to know – and she was stunned and excited all at once : she comes in every morning and says “morning mummy - can I say hi to the baby?” so I have to lift my t-shirt for her to pat the belly :awe: love that girl to bits ^^ DD2 is starting to integrate that I am pregnant, as at times I can’t carry her etc and she looks up saying “ because mummy baby in the tummy” - can’t believe my baby will turn 2 soon – and soon won’t be the littlest anymore!!

I need to vent for just a second. I just got home from my family reunion and it doubled as a quick baby shower for my male cousin and his second wife who are in their forties and having their first baby. They're having a boy and naming him the name we used for my angel DS. Listen, I don't really care that they're using the same name because I've literally only met the wife twice, and I only see them at these extended family reunions. BUT seeing all the blue and the boy clothes... *sigh. It was tough.

Srg- I'm so sorry! That would be very hard.
We were with a lot of family today and they all want this baby to be a boy. It just cracks me up, as if I get to choose. And one reason they say is bc boys just love their Mommas, which I don't get at all. My girls tell me all the time how much they love me and tell me how pretty I am, etc. It just makes no sense to me. I'm glad we are announcing tomorrow night bc I'm tired of hearing it.

Thank You LMSM
I am home and trying to do the best I can. It's been extremely hard and a very long day

Bluedreaming, I'm so sorry to hear that! Big hugs!! [emoji175]

Ash, hope you're feeling better. Sounds so rough!!

Kat, I know what you mean. My girls (although totally crazy) are also so sweet and love both me and my husband endlessly. The comments people make are so strange. The handful of friends that we've told also say the same thing - I really hope that it's a boy this time.

I honestly still cannot get over them saying boy to me in my ultrasound. I honestly have been waking up in the middle of the night thinking about it. I know I would love a boy, but I just want this to be a girl so, so badly. I googled like crazy this weekend and it turns out a lot of people were told boy early and then it turned out to be a girl. I'm hoping that's the case for me, but trying not to get my hopes up too much. It's just so strange, my sway was solid - Femara, husband on ssri, LE diet, one attempt, etc. I should hear back on blood test this week. [emoji51]

bluebooties - Most places won't induce before 40 weeks. That was what I was told with both of my kids.

Lola-Thats a beautiful profile shot! I also feel mine kicking near my pelvis but she has lots of time to turn for me.

Xx - How exciting! Sooo soo close!

Max-I'll keep you updated on my u/s but yea they did tell me most likely a boy around 12 week and a girl at 16. I hope baby is still a girl, I'll take either but I bought pink stuff. I have my scan on Thursday afternoon. I'm just surprised they mentioned anything so early to you when they look almost the same that early. Do you get your blood work results this week?

Side note - I'm 20 weeks today. Half way through!

mommax, you're giving me hope!! :) They told me on Thursday that my bloodwork would come back in 10 days, but I'm hoping this week. Fingers crossed for you that you hear girl again!

If so i guess i will just need to figure out another way about it. I am fully determined to not exhaust my vacations for the whole year and since its January i won't have build up sick leaves yet either. We will see on the 21st what the OB says

Bluedreaming i am so glad that they are going to find out the gender for you  i hope you arent in too much physical pain, if you want to share the gender with us once you know then please do  are you being given the option of a funeral? we had to fight against some absolutely hideous "standard" burial/cremation options with our daughter i really hope you arent facing the same xx

max i really dont think they should have guessed at all, it seems a little unprofessional to me when baby is so early and things arent at all developed down there yet.. fingers crossed so hard for your bloodwork to come back as healthy girl :)
i maybe shouldnt say this but in all honesty i will be so shocked if it is a boy, you guys are pink friendly to begin with-with 2 girls to show for it :) and you went even more pink friendly with your sway and the femara etc, if baby is a boy he is one tough, determined little guy!!

bluebooties i just cant believe you are being put through this :( it makes me so cross seeing how you guys in the US are basically punished for having babies, fingers crossed your OB is sympathetic of your situation and agree's

Max - I completely agree with you and 4b2p that it seems crazy for your baby to be a boy. And unfortunately I understand about the waking up in the middle of the night thing. I so just wish I wanted my baby to be a girl as much as you do. I'm hoping seeing her today will help. I really think you have a good chance at still hearing girl. Oh and my blood results took 5 business days so hopefully you'll hear Friday [emoji175]

Thanks so much!! I still do feel good about it, I "feel" that this baby is a girl. I just wish I wouldn't have asked in the scan because it really got in my head. Atomic suggests going with boy so if the bloodwork confirms, it's not a total shock and disappointment. It's great advice and what I'm going to go with from now on, but I am still holding out a glimmer of hope! [emoji120] My DD1's profile looks very similar to this baby in ultrasound (is that possible or am I pulling at straws)? [emoji23]

Kat, good luck in your appointment! And I swear to you...3 girls will be amazing, but I do understand what you're saying! How did you announce to the girls? As soon as we get our results we are planing to formally tell them. I was thinking of giving them a pic of the ultrasound pic with the baby "saying Hi Ella, Hi Max" (if someone can tell me how to add text lol) and then give them a cupcake with either pink/blue frosting inside, and of course video tape them. Thoughts on anything special to add? I wanted to make them cute big sister shirts but I ran out of time.

Great news Kat!! ;) can’t wait to hear how the announcement to your girls went!

Max – def still chances of hearing pink though I would prepare for blue in case - you’ll be sure very soon and can stop wondering either way ;)

My poor baby girl (DD1) got her little finger caught in her dad’s car door when he was about to drop them off just 30 minutes ago – it’s all bruised so he will take her to the ER.
I hope it’s not broken and she will be ok- her poor little voice over the phone, broke my heart (got into the office early today so wasn’t home)– and timing sucks because it’s our scan today at 1.30 and ironically the children’s hospital is a few minutes’ walk from the u/s place but they don’t allow kids under 6 in so if he hasn’t been able to have her seen and drop her back before then, then he won’t be able to join me for the scan..
Ohhhh there’s days like that! Last time, when she spun and bumped her head, and had to go to the ER it was on his Bday and today is our 10th anniversary – I am worried there’s a trend setting here!

Hey Ladies! Sorry it's been so long since I've been on here. I've been so sick still so feel like I am barely managing life at the moment. All ok for a healthy baby though hey, just need to push through the next few months!
Anyway I thought it might be my pregnancy vitamins making me sick so I've been to a naturopath to get new ones. She has given me "Vital Women" by Medi Herbs. She was talking about the benefits of 'chaste vitex tree" in it for my hormones, which spiked my interested, but when I got home I looked into it as I remember taking it after one of my miscarriages, and and it says to not take during pregnancy. What are your opinions? Have you taken it? Or should I go back/call her and ask if it is ok? Anyway hopefully I'll be on here a bit more if it does help...

BlueBooties- Yes I'm in PA. With my 2nd the doctor didn't even want to induce before 41 weeks. I ended up being induced a day or 2 before because my 41 weeks was on a Friday and I guess he didn't want his weekend ruined on purpose.

Max-I said before the u/s looks like my DD2 so you're not grasping at straws. They do look similar. I felt like mine was going to be a boy so I was trying to prepare myself for it and I was completely shocked when they said girl at 16 weeks. 2 more days until we confirm.

I took my kids to the gender scan so there was no fun reveal for them lol.

Dancingdiva- I am sorry. That must be rough. I can imagine how special it must be finding the house that you always wanted. Isn't there any way that you guys can work something out? My dh is the same. He says that we can't afford a house on one income so I totally understand.

Quick update on me for those that did not see on FB.
AFM - I am surviving. Had a VERY difficult day yesterday. At my 32w appointment the Midwife flat out says "So baby is a boy, do you want to circumcise?" I was like, we were not finding out.....and was in a haze after that. I broke down all day long because of this. So with the gender disappointment, we also had a major blow with not being team green anymore!!! It SUCKED and is still not going well. I am pissed that our special moment was taken away from us with our last baby. UGH. And any hope that I was wrong and that this is a girl is gone.
Any good news is that baby is now head down and I am only measuring 2 weeks ahead instead of 5. Hoping that does not mean anything is wrong though. Midwife was not concerned, but at times it seems like they are a bit too relaxed about issues. Like they don't check for proteins or sugars in the urine. I think next week I will bring this all up at my appointment.

Shannshaff
September 19th, 2017, 07:24 PM
I will talk to each of you more when I have more time. But I just wanted to tell Laurel - I would not take anything with Vitex while pg. Atomic always advises against it. You might want to run it by her in a separate post, but personally, I would not take it.

Skyblue
September 20th, 2017, 01:23 AM
Shann - I m glad that the baby is head down and measuring just 2 weeks ahead. Having gestational diabetes, that's my biggest concern because I have heard that the baby may measure ahead by a few weeks. Once again, I am really sorry for the midwife being so inconsiderate. I can not even picture anyone apart from
my husband accidentally telling me the gender. Hugs.

Hey folks sorry for being MIA for a while. the end of summer was super busy and I haven't been able to make it back here for a while. I did have my first and only scan for my NT screen last Thursday. I am really hoping everyone is right and its a boy, but I'm kinda afraid its not really a nub and part of baby's leg. I'm really sorry to hear all the failed blue sways. I wasn't too confident with this one since we were trying to skip this month and of course had an oops ( I O'd like 5 days earlier than expected.) How is everyone?

Bommy - if that is stacking, you’ve got good odds of a boy – especially if the expert eyes are unanimous! FX it’s your boy – congrats on a healthy bub anyhow!
We desperately need some blue success to get our stats up! Lol

Shann – I hope you’re feeling better now, but yes definitely lodge a complaint!

Bluebooties – FX for your scan tomorrow – will be thinking of you!
Am sure we’ll have a wave of blue now for our blue swayers – there’s gotta be some boys to our blue swayers, statistically, just gotta! ;)

Laurelw – can see you got some confirmation re Vitex, would definitely advised you against it too – so glad that is the consensus ^^

4b2p – so where are you at moving wise hon? Have you set a date for the move?

Afm – I have my 1st middie appointment tomorrow- she’s coming to the house for the booking appointment – I asked hubby to stay so he could meet her (he usually leaves the house at 7am ish, but she comes at 9 so he will have to just stay haha).
It will make this pregnancy more real! I think once I announce it at work, in a couple of weeks probably once my boss is back from leave, it will definitely hit home :D
Oh and we’re getting aircon installed next week – good thing since they’re announcing 35+ degrees over the WE (95 F apparently, thank you Google) – considering it’s spring still – yikes! lol

Laurelw glad you got some answers re: vitex. From memory I'm down your way! Sent a couple hours at Elliot Heads today and it was just stunning!

Sorry I haven't been on much everyone but all will be back to normal when I go home in two days! Having a great time at mums as usual and I cant think of a better place to spend a week of the school holidays at! I even managed to read a book over two nights which was a massive reminder how much I enjoy reading!! I haven't read much since having kids, used to always have my head in a book!
Will post some pics from the beach today on our Facebook page!

Bluebooties- Good luck for your scan. I will be thinking and praying for you. [emoji170][emoji170][emoji170][emoji170]
Hi everyone. We are also moving in ten days. The same place just a bigger house. So, I come to catch up when I can. I haven't even done half of the packing. My dd has so many friends that the play dates just happen without even planning for one. [emoji52] I just feel happy to see her having fun so just roll with it but those boxes aren't going to fill themselves so I gotta do a better job with my packing. [emoji849]
LMSM - Hope the appointment goes good tomorrow. Let us know. I looked at your u/s on fb so many times. I have never seen such a clear nub and u/s at 12 weeks. Mine was sooo hard to read. And I just spent nights trying to see the nub but no luck. And at anatomy scan, I drank a lot of water thinking that my 12 weeks wasn't clear since I didn't drink enough water and as soon as the tech started the u/s, she goes your bladder is too full. How about u use the restroom and I was like God bless you sister. I was dying to pee. [emoji52] Still had no luck with u/s so have to for a follow up. [emoji4]
Ash, Kat and Lolla - Where are you ladies? All ok. We miss you.
Max - Pls update as soon as you have the results.
Pbn - I am so glad that you got a break from the busy life and got some me time at your mom's. All the women deserve that. Enjoy the rest of your stay. ❤️ I can't wait to go see my family coming summer. I need some pampering. Long overdue. [emoji4]

Bommy - I am no expert or have any experience but I have searched and seen so many 12 weeks u/s in order to guess mine that I can cautiously say that yours looks promising for a boy and I really pray that you get your boy. 🤞🤞 Can't wait till your scan.

Hi ladies! I haven't been able to catch up with having my friend in town, which has been truly amazing for lifting my spirits. I've had a lot of bleeding lately, despite not moving around, and it's so disheartening. I called the doctor to check in on my bloodwork results and they aren't in yet - she said to expect them next week. I'll log back in to update! One thing I did note on my online portal is that my placenta is noted as "Right Lateral and Grade I." According to Ramzi, shouldn't that mean boy? Has anyone had a girl with a right lateral placenta??

Ok so just had the ultrasound and I am in love !! All checked out ok. Baby 5 days behind, anterior placenta ( no wonder i could not feel movements for the longest) and probably grade 2 previa but tech didn't want to commit said OB will be better judge of that.
Waiting for OB visit to talk about my birth plan. Fingers crossed she agrees to an induction.

Bluebooties im bad with dates! Is your scan today? Good Luck! Ok see your scan is done did you get the special envelope ?
Sky moving is such a pain luckily I've never had to do it pregnant!
Max I've already forgotten where my placenta was and what it means [emoji53]. Hopefully the bleeding is just it all coming out and you will be able to get off bed rest your next scan.
Afm I'm here I try to scan but this week my friends got a little 10lb 3mo old foster baby! [emoji170] day care doesn't start till next week so I am getting the luxury of watching him this week! I'm so in love and can't wait for our baby to be here! I have another scan tomorrow morning so I'll get to see baby again and I'm pretty excited about that [emoji4] has anyone started on nursery decorating yet? I'm sooo ready but haven't gotten there yet. Has anyone decided on names? we are so stuck over here but aren't telling family regardless because they pester me all the time about it and it's soooooo annoying so I'll annoy them back and just not tell [emoji23]

Ash - Have fun watching the baby. So exciting. I love babies and love watching my friend's babies whenever I can.
Max - No idea about the placenta. I second what Ash said. May be you will not have to worry about bleeding anymore and can start moving around more and enjoy the pregnancy
Without worrying. Praying for you.
Ash - I am excited/ nervous about moving. We will see. Haha for annoying the family back. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Ok ladies so i have some not so good news. The baby has boderline increased fluid in brain ventricles and an effusion around the heart. I have been referred to MFM. Not sure if this will resolve over time stay the same or progress. I am just too worried to even think about the envelope. How mean am i ? Was worried about gender when health is all that matters !

All went well with the induction arrangement and OB has agreed as i will be 39 week 3 days at the planned date

max like others have said i hope this is the last of the bleeding coming away so that you can get back to normal, ramzi doesnt even guess scan pics right himself half the time so id put nothing into that theory!!

bluebooties im so glad ob agreed to your induction date, i am sorry to hear you've had this worrying news about baby, fingers crossed it all resolves on its own and your not mean at all for wanting a boy dont beat yourself up :)

so we are moving house tomorrow and wont have any internet for a while, i will check back in when we get back online :) good luck to all of you who have scans and gender results coming up i hope you all get the :XX: or :xy: news your hoping for!! xx

I posted in my DDG but wanted to share with you all too.

I have to tell you all about my scary morning. I had a horrible dream that I was in labor and was having the baby in the parking lot of the hospital. Like squatting down and delivering on the pavement as my DH was rushing to get the ER team. Then it flashed to me having the baby at home and being only 32 weeks, the baby did not make it because no one got there in time.

I woke up to having contractions that were the real kind. Starting in my back and radiating around making my whole belly hard. That lasted for almost 2 hours. I was not timing them, but think they were about 20 mins apart. I took a bath to try to settle it all down. I was really scared for a little bit.

Srg I have two names I *think* are the likely candidates for a boy or girl but with ds2 I had a name and once I seen him I knew the name we had picked was not him so he was nameless for a day until his name came to me [emoji3] I'm just not going to think much on it and wait until I have bub in my arms [emoji3]

Shann wow that's a scary dream and then to wake up with contractions [emoji50] will you be telling your ob and going in for a quick check up?

Pbn - good to hear from you and that you are enjoying your holiday! And to answer your question - no I will not be letting the midwife know since the contractions only lasted 1.5 hours and have now stopped. I will go into the hospital if they start up again. I was debating going in this morning when they stopped. :) I knew I had a crazy day at work today and I really needed to be here, so I just took a bath and waited it out. DH was not happy when I told him this afternoon about it because I did not wake him up. ;) He is now on pins and needles to see if I get more tonight.

Feel very stalkerish checking in on all the blue swayers seeing how their sways have turned out. The blue stats can be so disheartening given the sways themselves all look so strong. Difficult when there are a good portion of blue swayers who keep it all private too and we get little info on how their sways turn out. Fx for you DD that this is your little boy.

Shan that's so scary I fear not making it to the hospital in time [emoji15] but hopefully none of us have early labor as it is not fun! Maybe next time you should call the dr and get a stress done just to be safe.
Srg how cute! I'm this big and only 23w [emoji23] what names do you have? We like Esmae, Estelle, Eloise (kat [emoji6]) and Naomi. Guess we may wait to see what she looks like but I'm really feeling an E name this time!

I keep getting false labor to the point I'm probably going to think it's not real when it is, haha! It's funny you mention that, because I'm to the point where I'm ready to try it! I have an appointment on Monday, and I'm going to have them check me. If I'm dilated and effaced any, I'm going to have them sweep my membranes. That worked with my DS1 who was 8 days late! The rest have been 8 and 12 days early, so who knows! She finally flipped and now we're just waiting for her to decide to be born!

MFM is maternal fetal medicine. They r the specialists who will probably want to do a bunch more testing and then give me an idea. I guess for sure i am looking forward to frequent sonograms and probably a repeat fetal ECHO down the road along with tests for chromosomal anomalies and intrauterine infections.
I haven't had time to load a pic but i will tomorrow. Showed it to the girls and so for the first time they feel its real.

Hi lovelies!

Pbn, glad you get to enjoy the break and glorious weather!!!

Ash- we have no name set yet for this little, harder when there is so much choice and we already have had to name two girls!!
Éloise is my DD2 :) her sister calls her Lily though lol Are you back to feeling better 100%?

Lola- hi hon" hope all is well!!!

Shann, oh scary these contractions out of nowhere. I hope Bub stays out some time longer!!!

Sky - take it easy here packing!!!! ;) you know Bub was at 13 weeks and uber compliant (not like her sisters lol) hence the clear as day nub.... ;) and I've seen enough nubs to pick out the nubs super easily when clear enough..no exception here! Can't remember now (sieve brain much?), did you post a nub pic from your 12 weeks scan??

4b2p - hope the move goes as smoothly as possible :hugs:

Max, I know it's disheartening, it may be that the SCH keeps bleeding all through out the pregnancy, and won't necessarily be cause for concern, hope you get some rest and relaxing you time to focus on the positives and he baby to come! Fx for results soon!!

Bluebooties, great for the induction being approved but :hugs: must have been so scary to get told you need further investigation..I hope you get to see FHM sooner rather than later so you know where you stand. Big hugs

Srg, you look fantastic!!!!

Xx, so close now!!! Any pics of the belly?

Bluedreaming, Nacire, ladies..thinking of you if you drop by ;)

Iwant4- HAvent read you in a while, how are you??

MiaMelb- agree it would be good to get some blue success and wouldn't want you to be disheartened before you even start your sway ;)

AFM- middie came this morning, and spent over 2hrs at the house doing my booking appointment. She is lovely, has had 7 kids and fast labours herself...and if I ever have concerns or need to go to hospital, she will be there :)
She had the Doppler out and the girls keenly listened to their sisters heart beating away!

Oh just found out my SIL ( DH's step sister) is expecting too, just a few weeks ahead of us..I pray she is having a girl as I would be devastated if she had another boy (my other SIL, DHs sister has 2 boys). I will post a pic of her u/s in FB for your thoughts lol

bluebooties-I believe it depends on the weight limit for the carrier. Some of the Tulas don't start until 16 or 20 lbs. Don't quote me on it though since I don't have one but decided against it for that reason. I have a lillbaby and it doesn't need an insert. I hope everything goes well as can be with baby!

Bommy- We paid for an elective scan at 16 weeks because I didn't want to wait until 20w so we found out last month. We just had our "gender scan" at the doctors yesterday and I'll be 21 weeks on Monday. Sooo glad we did it sooner. I'm bad at the nub and skull theories so I won't guess but I hope you get what you want!

Ash-I'm still looking at nursery ideas but I think I'm going with a peter pan theme. We're also still arguing on a name lol.

Shann- Thats a scary dream and to wake with contractions too! I keep joking I'm going to go in a blizzard and we'll have the baby in the car, doubtful since I'm always overdue and induced, but it's funny to watch my SO's face.

Xx-super close! Good luck!

Max- My baby is still a girl! And it looked more like a girl this time. And I have no clue about the placenta thing.

Ash- My little one is laying across my belly or pelvis I guess. Hip to hip. Her feet are by my left hip lol and they couldn't get a 3d face picture because she has her face up against my placenta literally touching her nose to it. Fingers crossed yours stays head down!

Bluebooties- Did you get the appointment with MFM yet? It must be scary but I am praying everything comes back ok. Biggest hugs. Keep us posted.
Lolla - So glad to hear from you. Hope you all are doing good. ❤️
LMSM - Dh has been helping with the packing and I really need to start doing more. [emoji52]I guess we are going to have a busy weekend. So happy that all went well with the midwife. It must be such a relief. How cute that the girls got to hear the heartbeat. My dd hasn't yet. She will experience all of it for the first time on oct 6th. I am counting days. ❤️
Pbn - Hope u and the boys are having a great time.
Mommy2apples- How have you been? Missed you for a few days.

So, I need to vent a little. Yesterday, I was with two of my friends. They are good friends so I was talking to them about this group that we have all become so close and it's great to have
support and it's exciting since we all have due date around the same time. So one of my friends who is nice but says things without even thinking and I have had many experiences with her but I always tend to let go but yesterday she goes, I don't join all these groups because I just don't see the point and I can't share my life with people I have never met. I do spiritual things instead. I tried to keep my raging thoughts to myself for a few seconds but then I couldn't so I asked her if she thinks that I am stupid to find amazing people who support me and who I love sharing this journey with? She understood that I was really upset and started sugar coating her comment. She is a few yrs younger to me so I always just laugh at her comments thinking that she is not mature enough but I just had enough this time. Recently, she was judging me for my parenting skills in front
of my dh in my absence. I think it was all a built up. I just felt stupid sitting there and letting her one comment insult the amazing support I have. The thing is that I am not happy for snapping at her but I still feel
that I did the right thing. I just had to share. Sorry for the long post.

I have an appointment next friday for repeat 3D sonogram and if needed a fetal ECHO. If findings are re confirmed ( i am hoping the regular sono was over exagerrated based on being 2 D and tech based factors ) i will then get a NIPT for chromosomal abnormalities and work up for congenital Infections.

So ladies, I have made up my mind. We are going for a follow up u/s on oct 6th since the tech couldn't take all the measurements. Honestly, I am freaking out inside and praying it's normal since I was 19 weeks 1 day that's why it wasn't clear. Hoping all goes well on 6th. I hate being such a worry wart but that's just me and my annoying self. So, I am going to ask the tech to show me the gender. I need to see it with my own eyes to believe it. Needless to say that the next thing I will do is come here. So, we have a decision now. 🤞🤞
I want to write my sway before so that I can just type the gender later. Can't seem to find the link. Can anyone help
me pls?

[emoji322] [emoji322]YAY I CANT WAIT SKY!!! I'm sure all was well. I was 19w3d (I think) with my last one and because of babys position we couldn't get the spine and it freaked me out! But today she was laying perfect and the tech didn't even have to try she had so many perfect pictures of it ! I'm sure all is well [emoji170].

Sky: just needed a break from the forums a little bit as the ttc was getting me down! Missed you all too. Doing good just keeping myself busy figuring out Christmas presents! I told my dh I wanted to do homemade Christmas presents for me and him and am about done with his! Had my sister do a fun photoshoot and need to get them printed off in a couple of months, then our love quotes beside where all his pictures will be. Then his birthday is the 26th, and I was thinking maybe we will go somewhere for a night and spend time together. lol I told him if all goes right then maybe his homemade Christmas present is already made! [emoji23]🤣

You had every right to tell her your feelings! She has no right to down you and the gull to right I front of dh? She has some nerve and wow. Just wow. Smh 🤦*♂️
