Probably stupid question, but on days that I'm low on fat, would ice cream be ok to bring my numbers up? AF is in town and for some reason I'm CRAVING ice cream, and have room for it within my numbers, although I know it's not the healthiest choice! I can't kick this craving though!

Yes, as long if you have room for it!

Yes! It's okay to have it. It's not even considered a cheat if it's within limits. Go have some ice cream girl!

Thank you! I'm on the PCOS diet so I wasn't too sure if it was completely banned!

On PCOS Diet the rules are different and you should try to limit sugar, but if you're dying for something then it's best to have the cheat and get it out of your system than to end up trying and trying to be "good", eating 2000 cals of "approved foods" and then saying "Oh heck with it, I blew it anyway" and then having a whole carton of ice cream on top of it all.

Thank you atomic, I had very little two nights in a row, and am no longer having it. I found something else that's much healthier to use in place for when I need something a little sweet. Is the sugar that we need to be concerned about just added sugar? Not things like fruits that have a lot of natural sugar?

Have you looked into those Halo Top ice creams?

Fresh fruit is ok. I would limit/avoid dried or canned fruits as the sugar gets really concentrated, and also juices for the same reason.

I mostly have fresh, but I do make fruit smoothies with the frozen fruit that doesn't have added sugar! Also, would you consider this a meal?
