hi everyone!

my husband & i are going to start trying for our first in a couple months... (nov/dec/jan) and i REALLY want a baby girl! i've done a lot of research, but always end up more confused! i have been vegan/plant based for a year, and have not had any red meat in about 5 years. husband is also vegan/plant based. we both do cardio everyday and eat very well... smoothies packed with superfoods, veggie bowls, etc etc. currently everyday i have spirulina, barley grass juice powder, zinc and vitex(to regulate my periods) after doing research i am trying to figure out what i need to eliminate from my diet to help sway baby girl. this is what i have so far:

NO SALT, BANANAS, OR POTATOES

WILL STOP SUPPLEMENTING WITH SPIRULINA AND BARLEY GRASS JUICE POWDER

NO CAFFEINE

WILL NOT EAT TILL AROUND 11 AM

what i will eat; dark leafy greens, broccoli, peas, zucchini, blueberries, strawberries, pomegrante seeds(?), peppermint tea ( honestly, i eat all of that stuff right now on a daily basis... maybe a baby girl is meant to be ;)... )

i will supplement with folate and iodine from kelp. and i guess i will keep the vitex in my diet, unless i shouldnt. i will continue to workout almost everyday.

SOO with all that said, should i be doing anything else? eliminate some of the stuff i said i will be eating?!

PS if i need to repost this somewhere else just let me know, or if i need to pay for something first! first time on this site and im confused.

PS thought i should add... i season my veggies w garlic, eat a few avocados/week, i am obsessed w cranberry juice! (no sugar added) and when i say i drink tea, i mean i drink several cups a day! mostly peppermint and rooibos, but i probably have 30 diff types of tea!

Hi and welcome enchanting!

I know it seems confusing at first but it's because there are all the other sites that simply parrot old outdated debunked stuff that most of us on here tried and got opposites with, and then there's our site. We toss out the stuff that doesn't work and use new research and our experiences to guide us into a better way of swaying. Lots of us have gotten girls after 2-3-4 failed sways this way. :) Please please ask anything that doesn't make sens and I am happy to explain.

Re salt - most of us have given up the sodium limitation and our results have only gone up since we did.

Bananas and potatoes are NOT forbidden foods and you can still eat them sometimes. The idea that "potassium sways blue" has never been proven anyway. My daughter is like 30% potato.

Spirulina and barley grass - totally fine to leave those. Just on a health basis, I really urge everyone to ditch spirulina and other algaes anyway because some research indicates that it may contribute to nerve diseases like ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease.) PLEASE do not take that stuff during pregnancy at all (including the barley grass) as many people believe it may be harmful during pregnancy.

Plant based diet is fine and some evidence indicates vegan/vegetarians have more girls than the population as a whole.

Caffeine swaying blue has been totally debunked and we've had great results using coffee as a pink sway. No tea.

Peppermint and vitex may sway pink but they have really messed up people's cycles and our results have been disappointing so it's a lot of trouble for so-so results. Up to you if you want to try them, you can always start off and then drop.
