AHHH! i am sure this has been covered but i cannot find it.

TTC for a baby girl. will ttc 3-4 days before ovulation, but my question is: should that be the first time we have sex in a few days, a week, does it matter?!

I asked this not long ago, I was told to have sex but protected (use condom) cos don't want other sperm from other goes hanging round [emoji23] just want the one attempt at time of ovulation to be the only sperm lingering ... hope that makes sense

Please no longer than 3 day cutoff. Timing doesn't work and the odds of conception 4 days before O are slim.

We have found that BD just once unprotected in your fertile window gets very good success for pink for reasons we don't understand. So at least to start with I'd def. use protection for any other sex.

Some people will also have their husbands abstain from releasing for 7-10 days before that one attempt. This is ok for any guys younger than 35 or so to try. If he's over 35, he can do daily release instead (release 1x a day for 7-10 days before one attempt) But, if neither of those sounds doable or appealing, that element has not been effective anyway so feel free to drop this element of it and just do the one attempt.

I have a question to add to this. I recently had our attempt. I got pos OPK on Monday. We had attempt that night. We dtd unprotected again on Thursday night.(O+2)?? Is there a chance egg was still alive if not already fertilized? I'm worried we could have jeapordized the sway.

No, egg could not have been alive still but what can happen sometimes is that you don't actually ovulate for a few days after positive OPK so possibly you may have ben in with 2 attempts instead of just one - but that is a longshot really and 2 attempts has not been very much lower than one so I'd not worry either way.
