View Full Version : I ate a donut. Did I mess up my sway?

I've done really well with the swaying...haven't eaten red meat or chicken since April, drinking coffee all the time, lost about 15 lbs (I'm 5'2" so it's very noticeable). Haven't had sweets in months. This next cycle we are going to start ttc, unless dh gets cold feet.

Anyway, this morning I ate 3/4 of a pumpkin donut from Dunkin Donuts. [emoji15] I just...wanted it SO BAD!!!! I usually take my kids to DD on Sat morning (please don't judge, they eat super healthy during the week!), and while swaying I've never been tempted at all...I haven't craved any sweets in a very long time. But this morning I saw a pumpkin donut and knew I had to have it!! Swaying be damned! lol

Now I'm so worried I just screwed myself. I know you're allowed "bad" foods in LE, but I've been doing a mostly PCOS LE (vegetarian version, except small amounts of shrimp n crab etc), I don't have pcos but the standard LE didn't work for me with with last baby (although I adore him to bits) so decided to try pcos. Worried that the sugar spike will mess up all the hard work I've done.

Please help.

You didn’t ruin your sway! Remember cheats are needed to keep the diet manageable! Trust me I had way worse cheats than this- roast beef, pork loin, meatloaf, and dark chocolate mousse to name a few, over the course of my sway!

Don’t sweat it! You may have needed a boost of fat anyway! 🤞🏻for you!

Nope totally fine on occasion - even for those with full blown PCOS they can occasionally handle a sweet treat now and then! My only regret is that you didn't eat the remaining 1/4 a doughnut. :)

Haha, I've eaten the same thing and thought I messed up my BLUE sway! Carby junk food is girl food, imo!! I had high calorie days ending in ice crea. occasionally right before my DD!

This I can assure you of - there was no doughnut shortage in my diet when I conceived my boys.
