Hi,
I just found this site and am really impressed by all the support and information. My DH and I had read The Baby Dust method and used that to BD this month. But I am so worried now because my diet is completely mixed. And it feels like there is a lot of conflicting information.

Was my diet and lifestyle pre-BD girl swaying? Did anyone else have a similar lifestyle and diet?

I ate a lot of yogurt, cheese, and ice cream. But I also had a banana and whey protein powder every weekday morning in a smoothie. I generally ate chicken but definitely had some red meat a couple times a month. A staple of my diet is avocados, black beans, portobello mushroom, onions, and garlic. I have those ingredients multiple times a week. My diet is not super low sodium but I don't eat fast food and I don't add salt to anything. But for a while I was having deli turkey at lunch and tortilla chips with dinner. I also have nature valley crunch chocolat granola bars every day.

As for fitness, I walk about 2miles a day as part of my work commute.
For the last 3 years I have also been working out about 25 min a day 4 to 5 days a week. I am on the short side (5'4) and my weight is a classic yoyo from 130 on a bad day to 124 on a great day. Since July I have been focused on trimming up for my sisters wedding and have tried to gain some definition. I did T25 and round 1 of BBG. I lost about 4 pounds and for the last 3 weeks my weight has held exactly the same (124.0).

Does this lifestyle and diet sway anything?:nails:
:fx::fx::pinksperm:
My DH and I will likely only have 1 child and we desperately want a girl. Please help!

Oh and I usually had the smoothie like an hour or more after getting up and doing a workout. Then I start snacking on my packed lunch at work. Not sure if any of that matters.

When we DTD I had gotten a high estrogen reading on my Clearblue easy fertility monitor. 1 day later the monitor has not detected LH yet but the babydust LH strip does look like my LH surged.

What is the best way to get help and advice on this? Atomic am I swaying anything with my diet?

Hi again ScienceGirl! Here is a thread that has TONS of info about the kind of lifestyles we all had when we got our girls. https://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-girl/1877-how-we-made-girls-girl-moms-pink-dust.html

I can't really look at a person's diet and tell them what they'll conceive. Most of us have things that are pink-friendly and things that are blue friendly and there are no magic foods anyway, it's all about what your diet consists of overall. Things like dairy foods are nutrient packed and eating a lot can inadvertently sway blue since they have lots of OTHER things in them. If you believe in cal-mag for swaying (and personally I got boys taking those and gave it up to get my girl) then take them in supplement form, not lots of dairy!

Most of us totally gave up on sodium and our results only went up, so I'd not sweat any sodium intake.

Your exercise level is very good for TTC a girl. Even with the muscle training, unless you're eating a lot of food and gaining, not losing weight, it probably sways pink.

But all that having been said, my advice is, if you are not in a huge hurry, to just take a month and you and I can chat here in the free forums (for free, I'm not trying to get money out of you!) and we can talk about why things like timing are probably not effective and then you can decide at that point what sway tactics you want to pursue.

Hi Atomic!
Thank you for the reply and the link. I will be pouring over that forum all night. It would be so nice to be able to chat with you about this. How can I get started? Should I switch fertility monitors from the Clear Blue Easy Monitor?

Just use whatever monitor works for you! If you like that one it's fine!

To get started with swaying just follow the link in my signature to the index which has more info than you prob ever want to know.

Or, if you want a custom plan then go to the top of the page and go to where it says "membership and plans" and click there. It's pretty self explanatory after that.
