Oh pbn we are both right on the same track measuring ahead! It is so great to get to experience this and compare pregnancies.
Mommaxo3 I feel the same pregnancy just makes me feel unlike myself. I am so frustrated because dh has been home about a total of 8 days this month and I'm so fed up with it. I feel like I want to take my anger out on him which I think 75% of the time he chooses to be gone rather than being required to be gone and I feel so disconnected with him ATM I honestly have been being a pregnant single mom of 4 this month and it's been working out just fine all I need him for is his money I guess. I'm just so frustrated right now being pregnant with #5 and feeling so alone. He has ZERO emotion he hates my dog which pisses me off he never has any remorse about anything he does. Breathe in breathe out!!! [emoji36] I'm just so upset and pregnancy makes it [emoji817] worse [emoji20]. I've been holding this in for a while and am so glad I have some ladies to share with because of course if I even tried talking to anyone close they'd think my life was over, dh is an asshole, and I'm stuck with 5 kids! But for now I'll put on my happy face run everyone around all week to soccer, basketball, travel basketball, field trips, open houses, and parent teacher conferences ALL THIS WEEK!!! [emoji35] ok I'm done I promise.

Thanks mommy honestly I sometimes think it's easier when he is gone. I only have 4 kids to take care of not 5 [emoji849] and I can do things the way I want them done. Which is where the issues come in because we both have that mind set when he's gone for work so log.

Ash that's hard [emoji174] I have often felt the same with dh as he's gone before the boys are up and home usually after they're in bed and his roster has been all over the place with extra work that's been put on him (well probably more that he's taken on [emoji52]) I have super frustrating days with just my two boys, I cant imagine how much harder 4 kids would be so my hats off to you and you are doing an amazing job!!!

It's hard, dh and I have different views on how things should go as well. Logan plays us against each other like a fiddle, has for years. Sometimes we don't see eye to eye on discipline. That's rough girl, he should just have to come back in go to your routine instead of messing up the routine the kids are used too. I bet that's chaotic until you put your foot down!

Ha mommy it's more the discipline rather the routine. We've always kept the same since they were born really but if I'd ever put my foot down it'd be war I think. I feel like I even loose control of ds1 because he sees his dad being a smart ass so he's starting to get smart with me. I don't mind because his punishment is always cleaning [emoji57]
Pbn that's so funny! Seems like we have a bit in common.

Hi ladies, I'm so sorry I haven't been present, I'm under a lot of stress lately :( My check card info was hacked online & dumb teens used my card to buy $40 worth of Chipotle online and attempted over & over to charge $59.99 for PlayStation network grrrr. Luckily my bank caught it & declined those purchases except for Chipotle, but still waiting on a new card. Also my beloved Himalayan Persian cat is missing. He's 14 years old, so I fear the worst, but it's awful not knowing!! I have been searching the neighborhood & posting online etc. I had an emotional breakdown at home the other night just feeling like a bad "cat mom" for him to go missing and so overwhelmed. I've been swamped at work...and it's still in the back of my mind that we'll have to move to a new house in Dec when I'm 8 months preggo! I don't want to leave without knowing about my sweet kitty! Sorry to sound negative, just needed to vent!!
I haven't been able to catch, but I did read a little. Ash-I'm so sorry you're so upset! You are so right about pregnancy making things worse emotionally! Just try to focus on taking care of YOU & that sweet baby girl [emoji175]

PBN _ yeah I have a cast iron pan that I never use but the pot, I do use cause its just so awesome lol
Def nuts are a good option – and yum too which doesn’t spoil it XD

Wow Mommy look at that jump – looking so good – I can’t help but better super hopeful for you too!!! FXXXXXX and wow look at your BD pattern – my oh my, you must both be sore LOL

Oh Ash - husbands can be so removed and inconsiderate at the worst of times – sigh and big :hugs: hon, seriously vent away here, I think we’ve all been there at some point at least!
My FH pushes my buttons often too I must say especially this pregnancy – and hence am snappy with him, and my tolerance for his crap is 0 hence we argue more than usual – it is tough for him at work though so I try to bite my tongue but man I feel I could rip his head off sometimes!!! I don’t think he realises how much I do – yes, he is home after me at night, but I’ve commuted for an hour on horrible public transport after a full day’s work, picked up the kids, played with them, cooked dinner, fed them, bathed them most of the time before he even walks through the door – time at which he will just go to the friggin loo claiming he hasn’t had a chance all day LOL it annoys me so bad – seems stupid but gives you an idea… I wish he would pull his finger out so I can actually have a 5 minute break – never mind that I am carrying his child and am exhausted as it is: some days I feel like taking a week off and see how well the house would be run if he had to deal with it – chaos it would be I tell ya! lol
Have you tried explaining how you feel about all this to him? He may not even realise all this??
Hats off to you for managing alone so much of the everyday life, with 4 soon 5 kids – you are a super mama, don’t ever forget that!!
(and had to chuckle at your comment PBN – it is kinda true though lol)

Have missed you Lola [emoji173] and I'm so sorry to hear about your fur baby [emoji174] my oldest cat (and personal shadow) is 10 and my boys absolutely adore her... I am dreading the day when she starts declining in health. I lost her brother to a snake a couple years ago, he was missing for almost week before my husband found him in the scrub that backs onto our fenceline and buried him in our yard. I suspected he had passed but it was a relief to know for sure and have that closure and bring him home. I hope your fur baby returns home in full health or that you at least are able to do the same and bring her home [emoji853]

Between this and being swamped at work AND being hacked you are not having a good run [emoji174] Big hugs and really hope everything improves soon xxoo

Thanks Pbn & LMSM!! I fear that someone will find my kitty under a bush somewhere. I've repeatedly looked all over our yard and over the fence. He always stayed in our yard...I hope a wild animal didn't drag him away. A snake Pbn?! Oh that's just awful, so sorry!! Poor kitty!! LMSM-that's perfect advice, thanks...I need a breather! Sounds like you could use a breather too [emoji173]I know what you mean...sometimes I just feel like just letting all the chores go to see if it gets done haha. So anyway, to add to my stress, while the boys were supposed to be in their beds & I was getting their school lunches ready, DS2 took his dry pull-up off & put it in the toilet, took it out & I guess it started falling apart & he spread those gel beads all over the floor & stairs...it looked like snow. The last thing aI felt like doing tonight was dragging the vacuum up the stairs to clean it all up....

Ash - I feel your pain. DH works a swing shift and is home almost every 2 days so he is off 2 weekdays every week and every other fri, sat, sun (so there's every other week where he's off 3 weekdays). I work Mon-Fri. We got into an argument last week about him cleaning up and doing some dishes here and there a day or 2 when he's home and he agreed. But he didn't do it last week at all and he was off yesterday and I came home and went off. He then makes me feel like I have no right to be upset or exhausted after working all day and then coming home to do dishes, make dinner, do laundry, fold clothes, vacuum, shower the kids, put them to bed, take the garbage out and by the time I was done it was 9:30 and I still had to shower. When I finally sat down I realized I never asked the kids if they had homework...thankfully no one did but I'm so worn down and I keep saying it over and over and no one hears me or no one cares. He slept all day because he's been having issues with his back and it's been keeping him up at night but nearly all freakin day! I wont even lay on the couch because I know I'll fall asleep and I don't want to. I tell him all the time "I'll sleep when I'm dead." But I feel like I'm not allowed to mention my back hurts and I'm exhausted because of the tiny person I'm currently growing. I secretly wish I was high risk just so I can get a little help. Since my morning sickness went away no one seems to give a rat's ass that I'm pregnant anymore. I've been having sciatic pain in my leg and I'm getting nauseous towards late afternoon along with what I think is acid reflux because my chest and ribs burn after eating but I dare not mention it to anyone. I'm fine.

LMSM - Men say they want us to talk to them more about things that bother us or things we need but they don't really mean it.

Lola - I hope you find your cat. I'd be upset too. And I'd argue with the bank about the Chipotle but I'm a knit picker when it comes to stuff like that.

PBN - thats terrible for your cat! Poor thing. I had a cat run away about 3 years ago and never returned. I have no idea if he passed or someone took him in. I looked for him for months too.

I feel like men are still stuck in that mind set that mom stays home and cares for the house and kids and they go to work and pay the bills. I'd be fine with this, if I was a stay at home mom and not one that works full time. This drives me insane that I'm expected to be a full time housekeeper and work full time...you can't have both. End rant sorry that was long.

Mommaxo3 [emoji119] preach it lady! I am considered high risk. My ob told me two visits ago to stop doing as much and don't even think of walking. I didn't even bother mentioning it to dh he would not even hear me I don't think. So on we go I set if I feel pain/bh but other than that I don't see how ob thinks I can take it easy being a sahm.

Oh no Ash, I hope he feels better soon and no one else gets it 🤞🏻!

Mommaxo3- I’ve gotten the flu shot in 3 of my 4 pregnancies and my kiddos are all fine! I honestly felt that was the one thing that prevented them from getting sick when they were so little. I got the preservative free one 2 of the 3 times. One year they ran out of it too soon. I have a friend who doesn’t get them and her little ones get the flu from time to time, while we don’t seem to get it. We also run humidifiers all the time too at home, which cuts down on the spread of viruses. Do what you feel is best for you and your little one!

does anywhere else do the whooping cough jab for pregnant women from 28 weeks onwards? or is it just a UK thing? We also have the option of flu jab too

They make us get one in the US starting at 28 weeks, at least in the area I live. The flu vaccine is strongly encouraged but not part of the routine prenatal care.

is it not optional? over here you can decline any part of ante-natal care if you choose too, jabs, scans, blood tests, midwife/doctor check ups etc are all optional, the only thing that you are legally required to do is to ensure that baby gets any medical treatment it needs once it is born.

i may be completely wrong here but i thought in the US they had laws surrounding maternity care and the things pregnant women can and cant do because the baby is legally recognised as a person before they are born? eg. a pregnant woman who drinks alcohol or takes drugs through pregnancy can get in trouble for child endangerment type things?

I'm not having the flu shot. There are always negative stories online and I shouldn't have googled. I'll also have the whooping cough vaccine on the day of birth not during pregnancy. My advice is, don't google [emoji51]

I'll be getting rhe whooping cough shot at probably 30 weeks. Flu shot hasn't been mentioned as yet and I can't recall getting it with the boys? [emoji848] Maybe I did, will need to check I guess..

Mommy2apples, if you see this – must be test time very soon now??? :D FX :D I hope the lack of temping post O will have given your body the chance to be as zen and as ready for implantation as possible :hugs:

Kat, Sky, Max…and the others – how are you?
4p2b – how is the new house? (or have I got it all mixed up and you’re still waiting to move ?? I swear my forgetfulness will kill me soon! Lol)

Iwant4 – I thought the idea of the whooping cough vaccine in the 3rd trimester was to give bub some immunity at birth before their first shot at 6 weeks – so would having the shot at birth have any benefit? (unless your last shot is too old maybe which is why you’d repeat it then anyways? Hubs has his 1st when DD1 was born, so will be about 4.5years at birth of DD3 and doesn’t need a new one yet).

Anyone having any scans, or appointments soon?
Any pics of nurseries, shopping sprees? :D

Ok have now told my boss about my news– oh the feigned excitement lol ah well, she was not upset as such but clearly not jumping up and down “oh I was wondering if you would have a third / oh the timing makes it hard bla bla bla” – well, it’s not like I can delay my due date just to suit you mate :P
I have to get to my big boss and tell him too before I can let loose the info with the colleagues ^^

PBN – I only was offered the flu shot with DD1 because she was due in winter so I was pregnant in winter and my GP said complications form the flu can get quite severe in pregnant women. (I did the flu shot this time before falling pregnant as my employer offers it).
Considering you are due in the warmer months, might be deemed as not necessary?

It’s the first time I’ll be heavily pregnant in summer and am shaking in my boots already at the thought of commuting in the heat lol

My oldest was a January baby and born 5 days after this one will be (touch wood the date doesn't change [emoji6]) and my youngest in May. I worked up to 38 weeks with my first on quite an active role that involved going in and out of the heat and I don't recall it bothering me that much. However once I was staying at home I pretty much stayed in air con all day especially the week before he was due [emoji23]

Mommy2apples - Congrats! thats super exciting and a cute way to tell DH!

I opted in to have the whooping cough vaccine in my 3rd trimester (I'm in the US). I'm just sketchy on the flu shot because I've gotten the flu from it before and another year still got the flu after having the shot. I've had the flu about 3 times. My other kids are winter babies too but I don't remember if I had the flu shot with them since it's been so long.

Hello all, it has been a crazy few days for us. I did get my whooping cough vac this time, but I did not get the flu vac as I am allergic to eggs and it is not recommended. But most here do get the flu vac if due in the winter.

I had to get bloods drawn today to see what is happening. I have had a headache for a week, seeing spots now and then, and spilling proteins in my urine. They want me to wait and see the results at my next appointment on Friday, but I am getting anxious to get this baby out. I will be doing what I can on my end to make it happen. I do not want to wait if I do indeed have pre-e again. I am 37w today, so feel that even if I was induced, I am far enough along.

October 23rd, 2017, 04:32 PM

Men are silly, M2A!!! My DH never believes me when I show him the pregnancy tests bc of the light lines. They just don't get it :)

Um does Clomid cause acne? I'm starting to break out. I've always had acne (one of my "PCO tendencies"), but the swaying has actually really improved it. But the past few days it's been getting bad again! Could this be a side effect of the medicine?

OMG OMG OMG OMG Mommy2Apples – I cannot express how elated I am for you – that is wonderful news, woohoo!!!! How many DPO are you?
You just knew this would be it – and it is..so friggin excited for you!!!! :awe: I wish you a healthy bean and pregnancy – I know you’ll be happy with either gender, as this bub will be just the perfect fit to complete your sweet family ^^
And how great your mum is doing better, must have made her day!! Haha your hubs is funny – men never seem to believe HPTs when lines are still light – seems he is happy which is lovely ;)

4b2p – I thought so too – great you are settling in! (and yes this mummy brain is driving me nuts lol)

Sumbal – oh so team green then, exciting! Hope placenta and bub move so all is ok ;)

Shann- I hope you get answers soon! Especially since you have had pre-eclampsia before! You’re right, 37 weeks is fine, and subsequent bubs tend to “cook” faster than the 1st ones…keep us posted!!!

ABC – I did get some acne with Clomid but am prone to it with any hormonal changes (sigh) – FX this cycle works out for you!!! ;)

Ok everyone close at work now knows – oh please hold me back I felt my blood boil more than once – “you need to change husband, clearly” /” oh so it’s a boy, right?” / “ oh you definitely need to go for a fourth now!” / “was it planned?” (why is that people even dare ask that question, I find it so rude!)….erm, congrats would have been nice, thanks :P
I have to share though – last night I fell asleep before Dh who was reading in bed – I lay on the side and he had his hand on my tum – this morning he told me, ‘geez she was wriggling around in there’ – I had not felt her (sound asleep clearly lol) but he had had a fiesta of kicking and was clearly happy about that one on one time with his littlest girl – too cute :D

Haha oh man I thought I was responding to M2A & asking about Clomid on the TWW board since I am definitely not preggo yet and just realized I posted on this board oops! That's what a couple of glasses of red wine will do I guess :) :) But I'm happy to br a guest poster on this board - never know how much to post on these boards since I'm not expecting yet :)

LMSM - I really don't get why people make rude comments to people about the gender of their babies. I've seen it too often IRL too and it makes no sense!!! Hugs to you! I already dread the comments if we end up pregnant with a 3rd boy!

Abc! Definitely silly! Lol
Yes the hormones in clomid gave me acne!

Lmsm! Thank you so much! I'm about 10-11dpos! Definitely! You have no idea how strong the lords presence he been this cycle! He guided me for sure this cycle, he made me feel uber guilty about the drinking until I gave it a pitch as well. So I jut did as he said and look at where he guided me too!! Your right whichever gender he blesses us with is the gender he knew would fit perfect! I just can't wait to feel another baby move and grow inside of me again! I'm over the moon excited and can't thank the lord enough for such a beautiful blessing!
Yes, he's happy just worried due to our last two pregnancies which is very understandable he will be elated once he gets to be at the first ultrasound!

Yes she and my baby sister are over the moon excited!

That just makes my heart melt lmsm! Oh my goodness love when they get excited and start showing an interest.
Yes a simple I'm uber excited for you to be having your healthy baby girl will be good enough!

4blue2pink thanks for asking! This is his last week being gone for a while hopefully. Ds1 has for the most part gotten over his sickness but ds2 now has it lol! I got my flu shot so I'm hoping I keep away from it this season. On November 3 ds3 is having a minor surgery to have a cyst removed off his skull. I'm thinking I will have all my sewing orders done by then so I'll just have to worry about cleaning and enjoying the holiday season and preparing for little one.
Does anyone else feel like an endless pit of hunger?? No matter what I eat protein, carbs, fat I'm still freaking hungry!! I wanted to enjoy this pregnancy but man my belly is starting to hurts it's getting so big, I can't roll over in bed, and I can't breathe [emoji31] sorry to be a complainer today.... another note had an appointment tomorrow since dr switched me to every 2 but I cancelled and reschedule till next week. I'm just to swamped with school out early two days and no school Friday! Can't do it. Now i just got news a great aunt died so I will have to add in a funeral somewhere this week.
Shan why in the world would they make you wait until Friday that's insane!

Gosh Ash like Mommy said, when it rains it pours – I hope you can catch a break soon, you need some peace before the true nesting kicks in, in time for your girl to make her grand appearance!!! Can’t believe that you’re that close that it’s a matter of a couple of months ish now! have you decided on her name?
I am one bottomless pit too, just can’t help myself :( I feel flab not fab and it’s getting to me too…so can sympathise big time! I really wanted to feel “glowing” this time and it’s just not happening – my BH are making it hard to move my jelly too lol
I need to make better choices, am sure that would help – and will try to get back to going for a walk at lunch but my time is so short already so as to leave early and get my girls not too late after work..sigh

Mommy – woohoo, that is a clear line for that early – all looks so promising – understandably your DH is cautious but I just know this will be it for you, you will get your healthy bouncing bub at the end! ;) when do you usually program your 1st u/s?

ABC – you can still come and post here as much as you like, we love to see TTCers here too ^^
I know right? I would never ever make a comment in any way related to people’s fertility, lack thereof, gender/family composition – you never know the back story and how your seemingly “funny/light” comments could hurt deep – I guess those are people that have had exactly wht they wanted in respect to that so have never experienced loss, or difficulty conceiving, or GD – they may not mean ill, but to me it’s just common sense/ politeness to shut up and just congratulate people! ;)

Lmsm. I was thinking I will call next week and book in an appointment with my ob and she usually does the ultrasound around 7-8 weeks. Usually they can get you in the week you call and I probably will have them do thy for cautious blood work, have them check my betas and my progesterone.

Yes they don't understand it cuts like a knife! My mom didn't go to the ultrasound with braxt and when I called and told her oh her simple questions I know it was hormones cut like a knife! It's really a boy?!?? It just made me cry harder. She didn't mean anything by it, but my hormones were awful.

Congrats mommy!!! Great news!!!
I had a dream my best friend (we've been close our entire lives) was pregnant with a boy - she doesn't have any kids yet and isn't trying just yet either. Anyway in my dream I was so ridiculously jealous because she's such a girly girl and a girl would fit her perfectly while I'm very much a tomboy and always assumed I'd have at least 1 boy, if not 2 or 3. I woke up cranky at her....poor thing hadn't even done anything.

Hello Ladies. Sorry for being away
For so long. We had such busy weeks. Back to back festivals and settling in the new house. And we went to Amusement Park that we have a season pass for to enjoy the Halloween spookiness as I won’t be able to go again soon now. I ate lime chips there which were really sour and though I loved eating those but got bad cough the next day. Still fighting it but better than last week. Staying away from sour things now. [emoji53]
It was awful.
Mommy2apples- [emoji322] [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322] Congratulations my dearest. This is a wonderful news. You have been here cheering all of us. It’s our turn now. ❤️ ❤️ So Happy for you. I m so glad that your mom is doing better and how sweet that everyone is so excited. So, did you decide which one are u selling? Lol. That was hilarious. Men will be men. Mine also didn’t believe the line and I waited for a full week to show him a super dark test. [emoji849]
Pray you have a healthy happy pregnancy. ❤️❤️❤️Oh I am just so happy. Hugs
Ash - 12 weeks now. Wow. Getting close. ❤️❤️ Hope u get some break from the busy life and get some rest and enjoy shopping with the family.
Bluebooties- How have you been? Are u planning on opening the envelope? I remember you mentioning something about your dd’s holidays. Not sure. My poor brain. Sorry. No hurry though.
Pbn - How are you doing my friend. I missed being here.
LMSM - Glad that you told the boss. Good luck with the big boss. And sorry for those annoying comments. Some people just don’t get it. All they need to say is congratulations. This is the reason for me to not tell anyone the gender. Yes, we haven’t told anyone. I only told my mom and dh told his family. Even my sisters don’t know except for one. I hated it when everyone just narrowed the pregnancy down to the gender. I have gd and I am diet controlled which sucks. I can never indulge and the risks associated with gd make me so nervous. I am so scared until the baby comes happy and healthy. But the only thing people care about is gender.
How sweet is your dh. I know how special it is to feel the baby Move. It makes it so real for them. I have an anterior placenta and dd couldn’t feel
the baby move no matter how hard I tried until a few days back and she was so thrilled. Dh also felt last week and was very happy.
Shann - Pre- E is so common with gd and I am also scared of it. It’s a relief that you are far along to deliver anytime. Hope all comes ok in the tests. Hugs.
Xxforhubby- How is our darling Olivian? Hope you are doing
Better now.

Be nosy, haha! Nothing is off limits for me [emoji23]! My DH simply adores her! After rough housing with the boys when he gets home, Olivian is his! The way he looks at her just melts my heart, and makes me cry. I’m SO glad his daughter is finally here! All of my boys love her dearly and are so sweet to her. When she fusses, they all sing Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star to her and she stops crying! It’s really too cute for words! She only fusses if she’s hungry or needs changing, but sometimes I can’t always get to her right away. We are SO blessed!

It sounds like your daughter and Olivian have a similar growth pattern at that age! I just weighed her and she’s 10lbs 3oz at 20 days!!

How sweet. You have a wonderful family and my heart just melted knowing that the boys sing for her. How cute. I would be an emotional mess too. [emoji12] We took dd for a check up at 2 weeks because her pediatrician wanted to and came to know that she was 10 pounds by then. Her doctor kept telling me that my milk supply must be good. [emoji12][emoji12]
My dh was just the same with my daughter. He was home for the first week and I could see how sad he was when he had to go back to work. And he couldn’t get enough of her once he would be back every day. A nurse told me to get ready to take the backseat now that dd was here. She was so right. Dd owns my dh. [emoji12] They are so close and I love seeing that because I was the same with my dad. I am so happy for you. Touchwood.

Thanks all for the concerns. Apparently my blood work came back normal so far, thee are a few more tests out still. So I am still in a holding pattern. I will ask the mw more tomorrow if this headache and spots in my vision continue. They are not pressed to do much at the moment, but I am feeling worse everyday. So I will press for more action if needed.
Sky - good to see you. I hope you feel better soon.

LMSM - people's comments are the worse. I have told everyone at work that we are having another boy and it is like they do not believe me. They say things like "are you sure?" and " I bet it will be a girl anyway" ....um no, I am sure. HUGS. It is tough.

Ash - glad to hear you are buttoning up the holiday orders and will be able to focus on the nursery and your fam. Praying the surgery goes well. I understand the full plate and then to add in a funeral, yikes. Hope you get to have a little time to yourself.

I am too chicken to give my kids red grape juice with the possibility of vomit (and that is supposed to be the one that works), but I give my kids white grape juice regularly and we rarely get hit with it. And if we do, not everyone gets it. Might work.

XX ive only just realised what your username actually is!! did your dh always want girls or was it after you had a boy/s that he started feeling that way? its so lovely that he has got his baby girl

Haha! He’s always wanted a DD. His GD was the worst after our DS2. It took him 6mo to bond with him [emoji20]. They are the best of friends now though [emoji4]! He is overjoyed to say the least! I’m SO happy for him!

Hi ladies!

Mommy, yaaaaaaaay so overjoyed to see your update!!!! I'm thrilled for you and wish you a healthy, sticky (pink) bean!

Shan, how are you feeling?

Ash, so sorry to hear! It's the worst when the kiddos are sick. Hang in there!!

XX, thrilled to hear that things are going well for you and that Olivian is such a great baby. I pray for that as well.

LMSM, oh the comments... I get the reverse now - "oh finally a boy", "your husband must be so happy", "it's about time", "did you try for a boy"? Each of those kind of kill me, would love to trade places with you!

I have been trying to stay off for a while just to let myself process all my sadness and feelings. I am still kind of in disbelief that after my sway I'm having a boy. With my girls, I didn't even know about swaying and just got lucky I guess. I also wanted to just mention that for those of you with boys, I really hope that my feelings don't offend - it has nothing to do with not loving little boys, I just always saw myself as a girl mom, the way that I had grown up with sisters and surrounded by women. It's just a total and complete 180 from that and it's taking me time to get comfortable with it. It keeps me up at night and just makes me sad. I have my big scan on Friday morning and hoping that seeing the little guy will help me bond with him. We have been throwing some names out and trying to make it more personal, which should also help. So far, the only names the girls like are "Poop Emoji", "Lil Bro", and "Pasta". Poor little guy... ;)

good to see you back Max :) i completely get it, it isnt because you are against boys in any way its just not what you pictured or ever wanted for yourself, its hard to wrap your brain around and get excited about something that you have never had any desire for, not meaning no desire in a negative way just a very neutral/never really thought about it kind of way.
i hope everything goes well at your scan, loving your girls name ideas :D

(((Hugs))) Max! It’s letting go of a dream that makes it so hard- at least that’s how my DH put it. It also makes it difficult when others seem to get what you want so easily. Hang in there! I’m convinced he will have you and every one else wrapped around his little finger when you meet him! Now for names...I’m thinking something dapper- I envision him to be strapping young fellow- I’m not sure why, but I just get this vibe for some reason!

Thanks 4blue and XX! I think it’s just that - letting go of this vision of lots of sisters that I had dreamed about. I’m going to do the best that I can to still instill closeness between them and pray that they can have the same bond despite gender.

Xx, I have this vision that he’s going to be a blondie like my girls, I just can’t “see” his face yet. I agree on a dapper name....just think we’ll have to see him before we confirm the name.

Ash wow you are being hammered at the moment [emoji22] wish there was some way we could help... my eldest has been home for a day and a half now and will not be going to school again today as he came to me at 1am this morning sick again and high temp. Poor bugger cant seem to kick whatever this virus is. Hoping by tonight he'll be in the clear. I told him I wish I could be sick for him and he replied 'but then you'd be sick, I wouldn't like that'. He can be such a caring boy [emoji7][emoji7] (when he chooses though [emoji23][emoji23]) fx the bug gets out of your ds's system fast and no one else gets sick [emoji120][emoji120][emoji120]

Woohoop Mommy, that’s clear as day now :D congrats again – can’t wait for you to see your healthy little bean on screen soon! :D

Ash – so sorry that these bugs just keep nagging your family – it’s exhausting so sending you lots of :hugs: hope you avoid catching it this time round!
Is the clothing you mention American based? May have to check it out nevertheless ;)

Shann - I hope you can get some clarity around this on Friday – you’re right headaches with vision spots (auras) is not nice – I know that when I get them, I am on the verge of passing out then I have this horrible cramping feeling in my brain that lingers…

Sky – happy to “see” you here – have you recovered fully now?
Has it home you are getting YOUR SON? ;)

XX – what a dream you depict with an easy going babe and the bond with her big brothers – I can just imagine her being the apple of the eyes of her big protective brothers that will nurture her and care for her like no other – in-house bodyguards for life! ^^ :awe: hope DS2 gets better soon!
Have you recovered fully from your PP eclampsia episode hon?

Max – oh you’ve got your morphology scan Friday then ? yippee!!! That definitely will help, I am sure – they look so much more “finished” and chubby by the 18-20w scan, that you start seeing what they may look like once out. Speaking of names, any ideas of a “real” name for him (not that I don’t like “poop emoji” but erm lol)? That may help make his arrival more tangible too. How did your session with the counsellor go?
And you know, just like you have nothing against boys but just wanted to be a girls mum, I have the same attitude – I never will regret my girls nor do I have anything against girls (I mean, I am one myself and my kids are girl folk too lol) but I just always saw myself with little men….
I think grief, and that sense of loss (just like when you grieve someone after they pass) are normal – and there is no right or wrong timeframe within which you need to “get over it” –
Oh how I would swap with you, but that is not possible –and I have no doubt, regardless of how much you doubt yourself right now, that you will be a marvellous mum to your little boy just as you have been for your girls!
By the way, how did things go for the new house?

4b2p – glad that you are all settled in the new house – you can start nesting before bub arrives now! :D

Iwant4 – hope the chickenpox clears quickly for your DS – he is not too bothered by the itch?

SRG – OMG yes that is definitely getting darn close, exciting!!! I can’t remember, did you settle on a name for bub?

PBN – woohoo, not long to go before your playroom is done! Did you take a before pic so we can see the change? :D
Yeah it was so nice to have him do a bit of bonding with DD3 – it is so removed from him that I worry he won’t bond as well as he did with DD1 (who he was talking to since the postove test lol) as he struggled a bit with DD2…

Bluedreaming-Nacire – are you reading us? If you are, big hugs – please drop by with some news if you feel like it!!

Sigh – DD2 kicked me in the tummy rather hard again today (she did it over the WE too, so much it cut my breath) while I was changing her – feel so bad but I just screamed at her, I was in so much pain and so worried for bub :( I was a never stopping contraction all night and now this… I’m trying to get her to wriggle in there to comfort me – any tips? Might have to go buy some cold sweet drink?

I sure hope you feel better soon! Don’t beat yourself up- I did the same when my DS3 kicked me hard in the tummy too. I echo what Mommy said and drink something cold or drink something sweet, lay on your left side, and that should do the trick. For Olivian, I would rub my belly and talk to her. That always got her to move for me. Remember, baby is kept snug and safe inside your tummy! I fell at 18w and she was just fine!

Mommy, mine was 21! I think you’ll be fine! [emoji175]

Lmsm, thinking about you!! Everything will be ok. As for names, we used family names for both girls and would like to do that again this time with a middle name that we either like or is named after someone we know and admire. We have William, Samuel, Zachary family members and like the names James, Ryan, Jordan and Ari. All are more traditional and would probably go more with the girls names. But I’m sure we will change it a million times before we decide. That is if we don’t go with “poop emoji” [emoji23]

4blue, I did see that about Jessica Alba and I started crying. For some strange reason it helped me to see it. Maybe because her girls are older like mine and then she will have a little boy for years at home after the older two are gone off (one of my biggest worries and probably a reason for my gd). I know that sounds so strange.

Has anyone talked to Kat? I tried to message her.

Awww mummy! That's great! Praying for a pink sticky bean for you!

I have a question ladies - looking on due date threads and TTC threads why are there so many more pink swayers than blue is it because:
A: it's easier to fall pregnant with boys without swaying knowingly?
B: Because women are all on here, the mothers want to have a daughter to experience that mother-daughter closeness? So if they end up with two girls they don't particularly mind if they don't ever have a boy but if they have boys really want to have a girl still. (A teacher at work said his wife only ever wanted girls and they have two and she's so content - she's a dance teacher and is quite girly. However, he is your typical buff PE teacher who I know would love to have a boy but his wife just doesn't want a boy.)
C: something else - your theory??

Dancing I think its a mix of things. Like Bluebooties said, on average more boys are born than girls. For me I originally found this site because I was looking into ways to up my chances of a girl naturally. I am very very close to my mum and I began panicking that one day my boys will marry and I will lose them. Well not lose them as such but daughters seem to gravitate more towards their own mums than their MIL's lol. Its only natural but I started picturing myself only seeing my boys and any grandchildren on occasion. Its funny though because now I no longer feel that way. If anything I have trouble picturing myself with a daughter and I think maybe I am meant to be an all boy mum and that's honestly perfectly fine with me [emoji3]

With my first daughter, I honestly didn’t care either way. I grew up with sisters and loved the bond, but I just wanted a healthy baby. With DD2 I felt the same way, but preferred to give her a sister. This time around, I’ve had years of bonding with my girls and figured another daughter would fit in so nicely with my two, and hoped that they would share the same experience that I had growing up. I’m still hoping that can happen with a boy that’s 6 & 8 years younger than his sisters.

Does anyone know who Emily Skye is? I follow her on Instagram and love her fitness tips. Anyway, she weight trains and eats a very “blue diet”. She announced today that she’s expecting a girl. Part of me is starting to wonder if it’s more chance/luck than sway?

Maxim I think there will always be exceptions to the rule, when you think about it there is with everything [emoji848] but yes I do believe simple luck can play a part. On the whole though, going by results, there seems to be something in swaying that is working (more than 50% anyway) moreso in pink swaying at the moment....

Trust me if there were anything to natural swaying other than "maybe" increasing ur odds the medical field would have been on it already and exploiting it for monetary gain and all these high tech family planning clinic and doc would go jobless.
Despite years of research nothing has been proven as a sure deal. If u eat this or do that or boost ur fertility u will get a boy and so forth. Which sperm will meet the egg only God can decide.
I gave "swaying" a try bcoz I had nothing to loose with it being my third but I was prepared to lose, it hurt, but i was prepared. Honestly if it had even worked my way I still would have felt that prayers helped more than swaying.

THIS is exactly me and I hate it! I grew up with one sister and two sister cousins and despite a hard childhood, my mom passed away when I was 4, I had the best childhood due to the adventures with those 3 sisters/cousins. For the life of me I can’t decide why I’m wishing this 3rd was a boy versus a girl. AND I really wonder if it’s social media/pressure/comments that’s making me feel that everyone needs a girl and boy. I hate it because I really haven’t struggled with that crap since early 20s and I’m 35 for goodness sake [emoji23]

Blue sorry no you didn't miss anything I just have negative blood type and dh is positive so I have to get rhogam at 28 weeks and they do it in l&d. It was my first time walking up there this pregnancy and it made me super emotional. Last time I'll go into labor, last time I'll snuggle my own sweet newborn [emoji24].
Dancing I read an article once that said Mother Nature keeps girl/boy ratio pretty even. There are more boys born on average but also males pass away sooner than women and overall aren't as healthy. But not sure why there are more girl swayers I had honestly never thought of it until the thoughts of #5 came about and I had never had any big gd either with my boys.
Pbn I feel the same like I'm just a good boy mom and honestly now that this pregnancy is coming to a close I'm scared to death to actually have a girl [emoji53]
Max I follow her on instagram! Love love her and that she is so real. And when I seen she was having a girl I was totally in shock also. It goes against everything on this site.
Blue I've never had a winter baby either and it is a bit scary now to me because we've all been so sick. But I'm a bit excited to be able to use all the warm fluffy blankets [emoji4]
Kat I recently went to a wedding shower and they asked the bride how many children they wanted. And she said two, a boy and a girl! I thought uhhh you have no idea lady [emoji23]

Dancing-I just prefer girls. My opinion is that they are easier even though I've never raised a boy. But I was pregnant along side my sister with my oldest and she had a boy and I had a girl so I couldn't help but notice the differences in raising one gender vs the other. Her son was a nightmare but it could've been the parenting but I know her daughter wasn't that bad. There's also so many countries that emphasize the importance of having boys that the girls are given away and such. I'll take them all, I don't mind. My family also is mostly girls and puts a lot of emphasis on having a boy and maybe it's just my natural rebellion to go against everyone to want a girl.

I hear everyone on the winter coming. It's so blustery today. I'm definitely going to need a winter coat to cover my belly this year. I have all winter babies but the year my oldest was born it was unseasonably warm and my youngest I wore a sweatshirt and an unzipped coat because she was early winter. But invest in those car seat covers ladies! I used mine every time we left the house because I was afraid of old man winter sucking my baby's breath away when the wind hit her face. Also the hospitals here don't let you put a coat or those winter sack things on them to leave. Mine wore a sweater and blanket because that was all they would allow.

Yes those winter prams snowsuits are considered unsafe by the pediatric association. So it will be sweaters blankets and carseat cover for me too. But last winters we had a couple of days of snow emergency imposed as roads were blocked. Hope it doesn't happen again.

Ash, I hope that you're feeling okay! My goodness....

Mommaxo3, I would generally agree with that about girls/boys. My friends who had boys at the same ages as my daughters were always full of more energy and still are. I'm NERVOUS about that!! I already feel like a tired, worn out mom and now we'll have a boy! I'm hoping that his sisters mellow him out, and that my DH is ready for some serious one on one boy time for some energy bursts lol!

I wanted to share something that happened on Friday that kind of stopped me in my tracks. I took the girls to the library after school on Friday and we were sitting there reading books together. I noticed this older lady fondly looking at them, but didn't think anything of it. After we finished, we went to check some books out and the lady approached me and said that she enjoyed watching the girls, their interactions together and with me, and that it brought her happiness. It took me kind of by surprise, but we started talking a bit more and it turns out that her daughter has had SEVEN failed IVF attempts and is still trying to conceive her first child at the age of 41. I'm glad my girls were there, because I swear it would have made me start hysterically crying right there and then. In my mind, I'm obsessing over having my first (healthy) son after being blessed with two daughters, and there are people in this world that not only don't have their desired gender, but don't have ANY children. It put everything into perspective for me and just made me so much more grateful for what I have. That's not to say that I'm still not mourning my third daughter, but it just made me refocus the situation and I'm positive that she was put right there and then for me to see that (I'm one of those that believes in fate). Just wanted to share for anyone else that can relate.

I spent some time this weekend with the girls walking around the mall and getting some baby things. We came across a store that had the Nuna Lite carseat. Have you guys seen that??? It was so lightweight as compared to the Peg Perego and Chicco carseats that I had, and I think it adapts to my stroller. I don't know anything about the safety or reviews, but curious if anyone had seen it before or knows anything about it?

Ash- I can’t wait to see pics of your nursery, when it’s all finished! I bet it will be SO beautiful!!

Max- OMG, I would have totally balled my eyes out right then and there! It kind of puts things into perspective, doesn’t it? I know what you may see when you see boys, but I want to tell you that is not true. While they do need time to play and run and get a bit cagey when they don’t, it’s just like us boy moms thinking girls are SO whiney and drama queens. That isn’t true! Remember that your little boy is a person and a child that has specific needs beyond gender. I think people impose certain gender stereotypes into their child that they pick up. My boys are not always rambunctious, and I’ve seen many girls more rambunctious than my boys! Just this past weekend, my boys asked to go to a different park because some girls were playing too crazily for them. You and your husband will help mold him into the person he will become.

Ash I bet I will be anemic too on my check this Friday. I always drop my hemoglobin by the 3rd trimester. And i get u on the fatigue its terrible.

XX i agree with u on that every child regardless of gender can be wild or timid. Its just natures way of diversity. My eldest and youngest are kind of passive but my middle one is a hand full drama queen !
My worry with girls is raising them. But then my DH often corrects me that boys too need as much vigilance on the part of parents as girls do. Its not like if i had all boys i will just let them do and behave however without care.

Max, I am not religious but I do believe in fate and that things do happen for a reason – this lady was put on your path to help you along the way.
Putting things into perspective always helps greatly…
I had a nightmare last night (the last few nights I keep just waking up) about having to tell one of my best friends about the pregnancy - I saw her a few weeks ago and just didn’t muster the courage.
She has tried for years to conceive, had multiple IVF, and they have pretty much given up on a child now – they do not want to adopt either so that is – unless a miracle happens – the end of that journey for them. Reminding myself of where they stand and how blessed we are always helps me get through and put things into perspective…. yet I was just chicken – I do want to tell her face to face but at the same time, I dread it – she has always been there in my own past infertility woes, so insignificant compared to hers, and here I am just being stupidly scared of telling her…. I guess I will have to arrange for a catch up in coming days so I can tell her.
What I wanted to say is, it doesn’t mean GD holds any less truth but it certainly helps dampen it somewhat when it truly hits home how life would be…without ANY of our wonderful kids.

Mommy – woohoo, great progression, this baby is a sticky little bean!!! :D

Ash, already told you – but too gorgeous things you got there! I can’t wait to prepare the nursery for her - I didn’t get to for DD2 because we were literally in the middle of a reno with tradies, dust, noise everywhere in the house…probs won’t start until after New year (we need to move DD2 into another room first – so will likely get DD1 in a new room that we will create, and move DD2 to DD1’s current so we can keep the playroom and still allow each to have their own space)… and it will remain the same paint etc, but just getting the cot up 9even if she sleeps with us at first), and adding some decorations makes me uber excited! :D
Hope they can get your iron levels improve so you can regain some energy –being preggers with kids to wrangle plus dealing with anemia on top certainly doesn’t help - ;)

XX – would agree with you 100% – my girls are verrrryyyy adventurous, active ones – moreso than many boys – they are very much girls girls in many ways also, but they don’t fit 100% in the stereotypes of either gender- which, in my mind, is great – it’s just their personality, which is unique and not dictated by their gender! I actually think sometimes boys must be easier, considering how energetic my girls are, but then again, may or may not be true depending on which boy you are comparing to lol

Bluebooties – agree, my “concern” is around raising them through the milestones – mostly I worry about the world around them – I can see some massive “bitchiness” with some 4-5 y.o girls at daycare already (I hold myself back and try not to snap at those but man I think to myself, those are going to be bullies as they grow up!). Growing up as a woman IS more difficult, whether we like to admit it or not – and in my mind, it is easier as a male – expectations are less stringent (boys will be boys etc) and there isn’t that double standard (to their detriment like girls) applicable in society for males… having said that, I can see my girls are stubborn, determined, head strong independent girls (which comes with challenges too lol) but I think/hope that will give them the right tools to grow up as strong women.

Shann – any news??

Ok, countdown for 2nd trimester scan – just over a week now – eeeek! :D

Mommy – this baby WILL be your rainbow in your arms, happy and healthy come July, to come and complete your family – it’s just so exciting! How are you feeling? (as in, physically..because I know you are elated :D).
Ooh first prenatal appointment – since it’s the 1st of November tomorrow, not long before we can count days to see that little flicker of life of the screen :awe:
I have sent a message to my friend offering a lunch catch up next week so will have to think of how I bring it up – though, it’s pretty obvious now unless I wear some very concealing clothes so will just have to get it out there! I definitely don’t want her to feel hurt as if I had tried to hide it (which I haven’t)

Blue – FX all is good with bub – so you can finally put your mind at ease – don’t know why I still feel it’s your boy even if you don’t think it’s possible. Will you maybe get some pics of baby’s cute face to share? <3

Speaking of which, Max – did you get some pics of baby at your scan last week? Would love to see his face!
(oh and agree with you and PBN – a tad late lol – with nicknames for William – Will or William – the same way I only like Sam or Samuel – some name don’t work well with nicknames certain people often jump to ^^).

Xx I love that. All of my boys are 100% different. Couple are crazier than the other two but all have their own needs. And I think one reason dh was so scared to ever have a girl is because my sil and I had same dd with our first children we had boy and she a girl. Her girl is horrible she's so Winey and emotional all the time dh always comments on it.
Blue I think it's just as important to be onto boys as is girls. They need to be raised into young working men who respect women and that is NOT an easy task in this world today.
LMSM thanks I've never dealt with anemia before it had never crossed my mind but my aunt always asks me when she gives me my shot "aren't you tired" because my blood pressure is always low upper 90s/upper 50s so maybe this is why? bluebooties - we had a rough winter too last year. There was 1 storm, in particular, where it snowed for 3 days and we got 32 inches and everything was closed for a week. It was terrible.

Max - That's so nice that you brought some joy to that woman and she unknowingly helped you. I do believe everything happens for a reason. I've always said I prefer to have a girl but would take and love either because I've witnessed a few losses (other than my own miscarriage last year) and one of those included my cousin who lost a baby around 25 weeks. She doesn't want kids but it was still a very sad situation. And my ex SIL who had one of her twins pass away from SIDS at 5 months old and then had 5 or 6 miscarriages before having another baby.

Ash - that's a cute idea for the nursery wall! I had anemia with my second but only had to take a pill everyday and had a shot after I gave birth because my blood wouldn't clot.

LMSM - I understand your hesitation about telling your friend but it would be better she hear it from you than someone else. I wasn't sure I wanted to post on social media because I didn't want to upset anyone fighting their silent infertility battle. After I announced I had a friend from high school message me asking for tips! She has PCOS so I can only give her so much information but I'm happy to help her and I'm anxious to see when she finally announces her own.

So had repeat ultrasound today. Baby picked up growth and the previous findings are resolving but baby's head has not grown much since last ultrasound 4 weeks ago and is now falling in the abnormal low range. But since all genetic tests are normal its difficult to say if its a normal variation or if baby will have any mental retardation associated with this abnormally small head.
[emoji17] there just isnt any way for anyone to tell me that prior to birth i guess.

bluebooties - HUGS, praying it was just before a growth spurt and all will be just fine.

Mommy - wonderful number! So happy for you.

LMSM - than you for asking about me. We are still in a holing patter and getting multiple checks a week. My blood Pressure is high for me (120s/80s) as my usual is 100/60, but they are holding steady as of right now. I am praying and do ing what I can to get my body to go into labor on it's own. Maybe with Trick or Treating tonight and all the walking, it might help. :) I am scheduled for induction on Monday morning (Nov 6) so at least there is am end in sight. :)

Prayers for those of you who are in NYC or have family there e- max hope you are ok!!
My baby brother and his wife are safe, thanks heavens!!

Shann – glad you are ok, and hope you can get bub out before induction next week – FX you stay stable hon!

Bluebooties – hope it is nothing and baby is all ok :hugs:

Mommy – am so happy for you - and woohoo, you get to see baby so soon then – indeed all is showing that things are going the way they should :awe:

Mommyx3 – yes, I definitely do not want my friend to find out via any other avenue than me telling her face to face – I have not (nor do I ever) make any such announcement on social media before 20 weeks anyways. – and we do not have the same circle of friends so her finding out otherwise should not really happen fortunately.
I am having lunch with her Thursday next week – that way I will have had my scan the day before, I will know all is ok, and can safely announce it to her ;)
How are you feeling?

How is everyone else?? ;)

I am still holding out hope that baby will be normal. DH is quite supportive but i wonder how stressed he must be inside. Men never show much emotions. I did have s talk with him. We need to think of how we will manage incase this baby is "special" in its own unique ways. I will be honest I don't have it in me to manage a competitive 80+ hours a week job, a house, 3 kids and a gifted child. I am already stretched too thin ...

The only final hope, ultrasound is a bit off and baby isn't as small as it is predicting.

Also i have a question for ladies who are pros at team green. Not that it mstters but a thought just occured to me.

When u tell the tech ur team green do they still show u all parts of baby ? The thing is my tech has done the femur measurements, cord insertion and belly measurements on screen infront of me so many times but i didn't see anything. Should i assume that means girl or is there still a chance ? Are the techs really that skilled at not taking that certain angle but yet showing u all the rest ?

Mine never showed me because DH asked not to show us.
However I saw all of my DD's and nothing was there, granted I had no idea what I was looking at. But now that I look back I realise she was a girl.
I'm thinking by now if you're seeing a lot of bub's body down there and don't see anything, probably a girl??

Blue, I have been shown everything except sometimes the bladder measurements without getting any gender clues. The techs are quite skilled.

Blue booties - I'm thinking of you and your family. I hope it turns out to be nothing. Also on the scan question. Since I had 2 girls, I was definitely looking for a clue but never saw it until the tech specifically went right up and under the bottom to look. Maybe some babies are better at hiding it than others.

LMSM - I'm sure your friend will be happy for you just as you would be for her once you announce. I'm feeling OK other than some back pain here and heartburn here and there. I can't believe in less than 2 weeks I'll be in the 3rd trimester!

Shann - so exciting! It's almost baby time!

Forgot to ask is anyone taking magnesium to help with hamstring/calf muscle ache/tightness? I mentioned it to my ob this morning and she told me to eat a banana a day (for potassium) and to take a magnesium supplement to help ease it. When I was at Woolworths getting some groceries I checked and could only find a high dose one that was 600mg!? It may be perfectly fine but seems high to me... I'll be going to a pharmacy this afternoon for more options on dosage but thought I'd check if anyone else is taking it and what dose?

Oh cool is that you got your walk through :D makes it all more real – so close now, counting down weeks in single digits, woohoo!!! Was it first half of Jan you expect the C section to happen? :D So excited for you!
Good to know for the magnesium – hope they help! I should take some for the contractions (I think my prenatal only has like 30mg per tab and I take 2 tabs a tab, which wouldn’t be enough – especially since _ bad mom – I do often forget to take them lol).

Blue – do you have another f/u scan soon at all? To try and check those measurements again? Thinking of you!

My SIL has her 2nd trim scan in a few days – I am bracing myself to hear that she is expecting boy #2 (my other SIL has 2 boys too) – ah well, if it is a boy, less “competition” than if the cousins (we will be days apart – heck we may end up having our bibs on the same day lol) were the same gender I guess :P

My csection *should* be 2/8 which is the day of the Winter Olympics so hearing the countdown on the news has been fun. 98 days to go - that seems so soon to me and I’m excited and scared to death at the same time.
Max - are you still feeling that way? I’m like our life is so simple/manageable right now, I hope this baby doesn’t turn that upside down [emoji51] Especially since the 3rd isn’t giving me the dream I visioned - ahh, feel so bad even saying that [emoji24]

Wow, you all are getting so close!!! I can't wait to start seeing babies in this group. :)

Can I vent a little here? I love you guys and know that you will understand. I am days away from having this baby (4 or less) and have a cold that started last night. DH started same cold yesterday too. So why is it he is acting like it is the plague? He is all sluggish and grumpy. I had to get all the kids up this morning, get them breakfast and out the door for my last day of work. And he gets to take cold meds to help him. I get to take nothing! WTH??? I really hate the MAN COLD!!!! :(

Mommy, how are you? So excited for you!!!

LMSM, sorry meant to respond a few days ago and it’s been crazy. We did get a pic of our little guy and I have to say ladies, I’m starting to already fall hard for him. I know that this probably was coincidence, but during my ultrasound the tech asked us what genders we already had and we said 2 girls. My husband was saying how much they will love the baby and how they both have been talking nonstop about him and will always talk his ear off and at the same time he put his little hand over his forehead like “omg what two sisters?!?” Can you see it below? I also had lunch today with a good friend who has 3 boys/1 girl and opened up to her about how disappointed I was to hear boy for all the reasons you all know. She had her littlest son (about 15 months) with her at lunch and he was just so opposite of what I envisioned most boys like (of course the stereotypes)...he was SO sweet, cuddly and gave me tons of blow kisses. It makes me so excited to experience that side and I’m starting to see that this little guy will be with our family for a reason. It was also interesting to hear that when she heard boy with the youngest she cried for 3 weeks. She’s never said that to me out loud before, but it’s so comforting to know that GD is real (even if it isn’t talked about) but can so be overcome with time! Today coupled with the lady from last week from the library have really helped me see things more clearly. End rant, but just wanted to share.

Kat, all that said, holy shit yes I’m terrified. [emoji23] The last few weeks the girls have been so darn good and easy and I’m wondering how in the world we will fit a baby into all the activities, running around, quality time with the girls/DH/girlfriends, etc. I stress about everything. But I keep reminding myself why we tried for a third in the first place which was to add to our family and the dynamic will change, and will be harder, but ultimately I hope it will add another wonderful layer to us. Or at least that’s what I hope!! [emoji16]

Breast are somewhat tender, but not bad. I'll take whatever symptoms though! I know this is my sweet little rainbow baby and I'm blessed by the lord for all his reassurance! Excited for Thursday's scan!

Please everyone pray or send good vibes that we will see the flicker of the heartbeat... as will be either 5weeks6 days- 6 weeks1 day depending on when little decided to implant and when I actually ovulated!

Max- very cute baby!! If you want to see him in even greater detail I suggest getting a 3d/4d ultrasound. I had one with my daughter and also a week ago with this baby boy at 27 weeks and it is so neat how you can actually see their features clearly. I can already tell he has my chin. It definitely is a great bonding experience! All my kids and husband were there for it as well and it has helped them to bond with this little one to.
Also, I agree all kids are different. When I had my daughter I thought she would be more calm, but she is hyper and actually gets into more trouble than my boys ever did when they were her age. Each child has their own personality no matter the gender. This baby will be exactly what God intended for you. And I do believe He put you in those situations recently to show you how He has really given you a blessing. A mother and son bond is amazing. And your husband will enjoy having a son to share boy things with.

Pbn - Wow. You are in single digits now. How exciting. And it’s so exciting to have the gender reveal with everyone around. That’s going to be such a special moment. ❤️❤️
I am only taking the magnesium which is in my prenatals.
LMSM - Sorry for such a late reply. To be honest, I haven’t bought anything for the baby so far and we don’t even have a name yet. When we found out about dd, we decided the name in 2 days. I am so consumed with my gd and daughter’s school and classes stuff that I wish I could get extra hours each day. [emoji12] I feel bad for not been able to focus on the baby stuff. Dd has been throwing temper tantrums these days and It’s so exhausting. I am hoping it’s just a phase. She has her dance performances this weekend so both days will be super busy. I m just looking forward to relax after this weekend.
I feel that I am too scared to picture a boy for me and I am being totally honest here. I just pray for everything to go smooth and the baby to come
Out healthy. I don’t even talk about the baby being a boy with my dh also. This gd has really got me worried.
Ash - You too are so close now. I
can’t believe how fast the time
passed.
Bluebooties- How are you? I am always praying for you and the baby. Please keep sharing with us. I can only imagine how hard all this must be for you. Praying all comes back ok in the next u/s. Though the wait is the most difficult part of this whole thing. Hugs.
Max - I am so happy to read your post. A little boy will be perfect new addition to your family. So glad to
See you happy.
Lolla - You and the boys look so cute in your Halloween pictures. How are you?

Great to hear from you Sky! I'm hopeful for my gender reveal to work but I'm not bothered if the wheels fall off and I find out first in theatre. It's going to be amazing either way [emoji3]

In regards to baby carriers I joined a local facebook group for baby carrying as they hold meets where you can go and try on different styles and they even have a 'library' you can borrow from to test out. I plan on going to the next one. Its really hot here from Jan-Apr so I'm going to need something that breathes well... alot of the carriers I've seen online (eg Tula) look really padded [emoji853] The muslim wrap sling type carrier looks like it'd be suitable but I need to be sure I can put it (and baby) on easily plus I worry it wont feel secure.... going to hold off worrying about it until I get to a meeting [emoji16]

blue i hope everything turns out ok i cant imagine how worrying all this must be, hopefully baby is just on the smaller side with no problems

shann i keep looking out for your birth announcement too!! i hope you feel better soon

cant believe its single figures countdown for me now too, it honestly doesn't seem real that there will be a baby in the house soon, i think being team green is adding to that because we dont know who is going to join us  im still enjoying not knowing :) it seems much more relaxed somehow which is not what i had imagined, i always thought team green would be stressful and leave me feeling very unorganized but it hasn't :) still very excited to experience the surprise at the end
