Flu shot

Im ttc girl and want to get flu shot in the week of the attempt. Would it sway girl and is it safe?:DD:

The flu shot contains the dead flu virus so no, I don't believe it sways and yes, it's safe.

Must be safe as you can get it while preggo. The one i know that should never be taken while ttc or the month before is the MMR.
I don't think it sways but who knows!

I don't know that it sways either way, I would have it done now if you want to and not later!

I will say I just had the shot and right after the nurse said "Just to warn you people have been getting really sick after this"

And I was like "Oh people do often think that"

And then she said "no, seriously, people have gotten horrible diarrhea afterwards so be sure you drink plenty of fluids"

As of now I feel fine (my arm hurts though) but I just thought I'd pass that along. :/

Thx u for advice Atomic. I didnt have any problems with flu shot before, just little pain in arm, i took it every year and i want to take it before we try to conceive. I think it is safer...

I am ttc & got the flu shot last week, although I'm a few weeks away still from our next attempt. It's supposed to be a bad flu season this year - would definitely get it!!

Atomic - that's odd about the diarrhea!! I didn't have any side effects this time - but I get it every year and never really do. My arm didn't even really hurt this year! The pharmacist - when I told him I was ttc - decided to give me the preservative-free shot.

I did spike a temp and felt crappy all yesterday afternoon and last night, body aches and a bad stomachache, but I never got sick thankfully. Feel fine today! :)
