Is anyone else convincing themselves they are having the opposite gender they swayed for? I swayed for a girl and I am convinced it is a boy. I already have 3 boys so I feel like thats all I can have . I feel like it will lighten the blow if I just tell myself its another boy to. Im not going by symptoms or anything. I find out in 2 weeks and feel nervous!!

Yes yes yes
I keep saying 'I just know it's a boy'
I can't even let myself think it could possibly be a girl!

I always used to have visions of a little girl, what I would dress her in etc
Now I'm pregnant all I can imagine is a boy
Eventho I did a good sway I just can't let myself believe it could happen to me
My partner thinks I'm crazy because he sees it as a 50/50 chance but in my head it's not!
Anyway.. how far are you? Are you having a gender scan?
I want to find out as soon as possible but can't really justify £400 for the harmony test!

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThats exactly what I am going through now im almost scared to know. I'll be 13 weeks on Thursday, I am getting a gender scan at 15 weeks, it costs $50 but I didnt want to wait until 20 weeks. How many weeks are you? When is the earliest you can get a scan to find out?

Well with my little boy I stayed team yellow because I thought it was better to not know! It was horrible! There's no way I'm going through that again, getting upset when a stranger thinks it's a boy and clinging on to the one person who thinks girl
Torturing myself with the wives tales and Chinese calendars etc
I wish I could go back in time and tell myself I will love him so much and I could have enjoyed the pregnancy
So this time I want to know as soon as I can, I think I'm going to get a gender scan at 16 weeks, that's the earliest I can't find near me anyway!
I would love to get the harmony test and know for certain but it's so much money
I want to know, so I can start bonding etc
Did you find out with your other boys?

I know two people who had 3 boys and then a girl! It most definitely CAN happen!
Good luck! Hope we both hear what we want so badly!!

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThere is also a part of me that will be able to wrap my head around it better by finding out sooner. I definatly found out with all 3 of my boys, im super impatient. I also thought they were all 3 possibly girls. I think this being my last is where it gets complicated. Its not that I couldn't fall in love with another boy, it's the acceptance of life without ever having a daughter. With my 3rd I only cried one time the day i found out he was a boy not a girl. This time I hope thats how it will be if the same happens and not get too down.

God yeah I can only imagine the pressure you must be feeling

I also try to explain to my partner it's not that I don't like baby boys, I would love another boy if someone could garuntee the next one would be a girl! Like you, it's the thought of never having a daughter that kills me!
I really really hope you hear baby girl! Keep us updated x

Yes !!! 100% that’s what I did. I just looked at my boys and kept thinking another one of these. I felt so warm at the thought although I was dying for a girl obviously. I also kept
Thinking about them as adults. It doesn’t seem to matter who has what when I imagine their kids as adults. I might be envious when they’re kids but as adults I couldn’t care what they had. Like the lady with 3 girls at DS1 school. I always think she probably wanted a boy and I feel sad for her but then imagine her with 3 adult daughters and how special that would be. Same with my friend with 3 boys. When I imagine her in future with them as adults I think how amazing it will
Be for her.
Weird but worked for me.

I agree it's so much easier when you think of them as adults - it really doesn't seem that much of a big deal. I think of lovely family
gatherings in the future when they're all grown up and if there were three boys it would be just as wonderful as if it were two boys and a girl.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThat is so true. I can imagine people seeing me out with 4 boys thinking wow what a handful! Lol but when they grow up all taking care of me and eachother! Its a great way to look at it!

I am 1 million and 10 percent convinced that if you have all but the very mildest preference you should find out. I have heard from a couple people who really went into a tailspin thinking the wrong gender the whole pregnancy and then they had to care for baby at the same time - not good

This is me 100%! I am so so so surely convinced this is a boy! It is baby #3 and we have 2 boys and it was hard enough to convince DS to go for one more so I know this is our last. It is still early for me (I'll be 5 weeks on Saturday) so I have a ways to go before I can find out. Although I think insurance covers the harmony test for me since I'll be 35 this week so I may get to do that at 10 weeks... EEEEK! I almost don't want to know and just wait until the anatomy scan!

Do you think you'll be happy if it's 3 boys Yaybaby? Are you feeling good either way it goes?

We didn't find out with our first. When he was born, I completely forgot I didn't know if it was a boy or a girl until my husband announced that it was a boy. We swayed blue but I convinced myself it was a girl. When he got here, it didn't matter one bit.

Now that I'm pregnant again with a pink sway, I'm convincing myself it's a boy lol. This pregnancy is completely different... But I'm also doing it while raising a toddler, so I'm chalking the differences up to that. I'm pretty convinced that we are destined to have boys. And that's okay. But it does make me a little sad to think my mom will never have a granddaughter, I'll never have a daughter, etc. Not sure if we'll find out this time or not. I could go either way!

Sent from my SM-J327P using TapatalkYes been convincing myself since i got my first faint positive. I did some changes to help increase chances of having a girl. I have 5 boys so i really can't imagine hearing anything but boy at this next u/s. Its been 90 years since a girl on hubbys side so you can see why my willpower to be positive is slipping.

I also couldn't see anything convincing either way in my NT scan to suggest boy or girl. Im anxious and googling constantly. I will have my gender scan this coming weekend and ill be 15 weeks. Im ready to get it over with and start dealing with my emotions and trying to move past not having a daughter.

And all this focus on gender makes me feel so guilty. I really thought ds5 was my girl and i believed it so much I was absolutely devastated. Maybe thats why this time im subconsciously thinking that way too.

Well i wanted another baby no matter what, even if it meant a third boy. So I will be happy but I know I’ll feel sadness over never having a daughter.
