Hi I’m new to this forum and still waiting to ttc. I have 2 children, first is 11yrs old born by emergency caesarean and second 7yrs born by planned Caesarean.

Has anyone had or expecting a third (or even second/forth) cesarean following a large gap (my gap will be 8 years!) ? I’ve read lots of concerns over women worried about having further cesareans before a recommended time to fall pregnant due to increased risks with body not fully healed but my question is can a large gap cause different complications such as over healing or toughening of the scar?

Would love to hear from anyone who is or has been in a similar situation x

Perhaps it’s a silly concern I just wondered if anyone had experienced a cesarean after a big gap x

I think it's a great idea to start a thread, I honestly don't know the answer and hope someone else does.

Seems no one has any experience to share of this .. I must be the only one mad enough hehe. I’m only 34 and dh is 35, we decided we would love to be blessed with a new addition to our family but I just hope the 8 year gap doesn’t cause any issues with my previous cesarean scar having healed so long ago.. surely not tho

Well, I am at least that mad, I have a 13 year age gap between my 2nd and 3rd, only I never had to have a caesarian.

Can anyone out there help??
