Does BV effect TTC?

Other than the obvious changes in cm PH, could having BV sometimes effect us TTC a girl?
Sorry i know its TMI but i'm sure i'm not the only one who's suffered with it?

There was just a thread on this in the last couple of days but I can't rem. the title, I think it was maybe "Probiotics"??

My friend who has BV has 2 girls but there are others on this site who have boys.

The main issue with swaying and BV is doing what it takes to keep it from flaring up really bad. Using the jellies like RepHresh will help with that, but I would NOT do douches.

Do you find diet causes it to flare up? ARe there certain foods that make it worse (like sweets or dairy??) If so, you will need to tweak your sway diet to avoid the trigger foods.

Thank you so much! I did have a read of the replen/rephrest FAQ and had thought about using rephrest to help with it as well as to aid In our sway, I haven't noticed if it is related to anything in my diet, I think it's linked to oh's sperm ph more than anything as sex is sometimes a trigger. I'll have to look at the food thing over the next couple of months!

Ok good, then the RepHresh will really help with that. It will react with DH's semen to lower its pH which will help keep the BV under control and also will sway pink for you.

You may want to take the probiotics and even try the occasional application of all natural yogurt to see if that helps by recolonizing the vjj with the good microbes rather than the yucky ones that are causing the BV.

Something else to look into is something called "gentian violet" if you have a flareup of BV - it is said to be very messy and I have no idea whether it sways, but it is a remedy that some have found helpful with their BV.
