Hi!

I'm just debating whether to add any meds into my sway. I absolutely HATE meds usually. I NEVER take painkillers of any kind, antibiotics etc, BUT, I would kick myself if I didn't try absolutely everything I could to sway pink.

I'm 40 so thinking of trying Femara (or Letrozole as I believe it's also called). What dose would I take and when? Also, should I start it the month before we have our attempt or just the month(s) we attempt?

Also - if anyone has taken it, what side effects did you experience?

Thanks ladies!

This site has given me hope and faith when I thought there was none. I really value it, and just wanted to say thanks to everyone on here - from the incredible Atomic, to everyone who has posted their sways, their results, and how ladies got their girls without swaying. I've read and learned so much, it's been amazing. THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks for replying SoFullofHope!

When you say it triggered your cycle, do you mean that you ovulated on CD10 and CD12?

Do I need Menopur too? Is that the injection?

I thought we were trying to dry up cm.

Sorry for all the questions!

Good luck to you too!!!!

Bumping because I will be taking Femara this next cycle, but swaying for a boy. Worried about the mood and headache side effects :(

2.5 mg taken daily CD 3-7 (5 straight days)

Months of attempt ONLY.

If you take it before bed it will often reduce side effects.

a lot of the time if you take it at night before bed you will not experience many symptoms at all. :)

So I just realized I can take Femara, and to clarify once again;

I should take 2.5 mg once a day (preferably at nights) on cd3-7, right? Can my cycle change drastically? What about OPKs, will they still say anything? Or should I do ed4 in this case (if yes, starting from when)? My cycles are 25-27 days, and positive OPKs are around cd11.
Thank you very much!

:agree:

yes,your cycle can change drastically.

Yes, you can still use OPK but they need to be started 3 days after the last dose of medication as they can cause false positive on the OPK for those first couple days. Or, you can do e4d. Whichever you prefer
