Hello GD! I am new to the site and have three wonderful boys - 10, 7 and 3. After my third son was born, we agreed that our family was complete, but I always had a lingering sadness about the daughter that I never had. After several months of back and forth, my husband has agreed to try for a fourth, but we are both in agreement that this needs to be our girl.
I'm familiar with this site and have thought about trying for a girl sway, but I think that having an opposite will be too hard for us to take. I know there are various medical routes, some more aggressive and some less aggressive, to get your desired gender. I'm a little confused as to which would be the best route for our family. Can someone please help guide me? DH is 43, I'm 38. I plan on getting my IUD out at the end of this month and don't know what to expect in terms of timing for these medical routes.
Thank you and I look forward to becoming a part of the GD community!

I answer posts from oldest to newest and while I answer all posts, it takes me more than one day sometimes - if you bump your post after only a day I don't have a chance to get to it and then it goes back to the top of my rotation and actually makes it take longer for me to respond. I want you guys to get your answers as fast as you can! :) I promise I will always reply, rarely I'll open something and close without answering so if it's been more than 4-5 days THEN bump but give me a chance to get thru all the questions first. Thanks
I'm not totally sure the "less aggressive" methods but if you are considering anything less than IVF/PGD, don't. ONLY IVF/PGD are a guarantee. All the spinning and sorting stuff doesn't work. You spend thousands of dollars and you can still get an opposite! I know a woman who had 92% sperm sort for X and got a boy!
If you head over to our High Tech forums we have ladies over there who have tons of expertise and will be happy to help you.
And if in the end you do decide you want to sway, I"ll be here to answer all your questions!
If you have to have a daughter, ONLY do IVF/PGD. Anything else than that is too much of a risk.

Thank you! I was referring to sperm spinning, but it sounds like that isn't a great option for us.

yes that's what I figured - it just doesn't work for people reliably and we honestly get about the same results with swaying via diet, exercise, Clomid/Femara, and one attempt as they do with the spinning.
If you need a girl, please do IVF/PGD ONLY.
