So we've been ttc 3 months....first month was a chemical, negative second, and pretty sure this month is a negative as well. I'm 11 (may 10) dpo and test this morning was negative. So thinking I'm out again. I've been doing 1 attempt at positive opk, but when should I do another attempt to conceive? I didn't want to bc id like to try for a girl, but also don't want to take a long time with the age gap between my other kids.

My plan is to do 1 attempt for 3 months then go to every 4 days :)

When YOU are ready. This is one of those things that I just can't know, and I have to annoyingly toss the question back to you guys.

If you want best chance of pink, stay with one attempt.

If you want better odds of conception, go first to e4d and give that a few months, then go to e4d plus one more attempt at positive OPK.

If at that point still haven't gotten any BFP love, do SMEP.

One thing that may help even with the one attempt, is AFTER that one attempt, go to every 4 days after that. This way, in case your ovulation is coming later than you think, you'll still be covered even a week or two later.

Thank you!! The month I had a chemical I had 1 at positive opk and then another 4 days later, the last 2 were one attempt only. So maybe I’ll try the one at positive and then 3-4 days later too.

Just clarifying, when you say one attempt does that mean only having sex once that whole month?

No, it means having unprotected sex once in your fertile window O-3 thru O Day. Most people would also want to avoid O-4 and 5 just in case especially to start with
