So I. Know that it is a B vitamin and that some B's increase testsosterone BUT my DH always has a high pH 8.5-9. We have been experimenting with aspartame, cranberry, etc over the last couple months to bring it down and the lowest we have gotten is 8. Well tonight it was 6. SIX!! I had to check 3 times cuz I couldn't believe it! Only change? He was just prescribed Niaspan for his cholesterol. He has only taken 1 pill!!
Now I don't know if he should keep taking it if it will raise testosterone but I think for sure he will take it prior to attempts! Crazy!

That is interesting! Thanks for sharing!!!
My thinking with the Niaspan is that it is a lot more potent than reg. niacin and I think things in moderation tend to sway blue, so I am still sticking with the nutrients = more boys idea and not recommending that people take reg. amounts of supplemental niacin for a pink sway.
NeedAGirl, I think that if he has been prescribed that drug for his health, he needs to take it! Lowering cholesterol is NEVER bad for a pink sway - cholesterol is the building block of testosterone and estrogen. The downside of Niaspan is that it can raise good cholesterol, so it may be less of a benefit for a pink sway overall.

Also, everyone reading this, Niaspan is a class C drug meaning ladies, DO NOT even think about trying to get your doc to prescribe it for you to lower your pH and cholesterol!!!

Hmm.. Dont know what we will do. It made him feel terrible - which is common - causes flushing. But it was SO bad that he was miserable, gave him a migraine, up puking all night. He took it 2 days before we measured the pH - only 1x. He might end up taking something else for the cholesterol but we will take the niaspan for sure a couple days before our attempts!

Ugh, I'm so sorry to hear that! I was hoping that might be helpful to you and others with the cholesterol-lowering and pH.
