View Full Version : Coffee and milk, what would you do?

Unfortunately it seems I have a problem with coffee, if it is too black. If I drink 50% coffee with 50% milk, I'm fine, but each time I reduce the milk to 30%, I get a stomach ache and if I continue to drink coffee that way for some days it feels like a mild gastritis.
I'm not sure what to do now regarding my sway. Continue drinking three cups of coffe with a total of about 350 ml (12 oz) of 1,5% fat milk a day? I actually enjoy the coffee that way and stay in limits of LE diet. Or should I skip coffee because milk sways stronger blue than coffee sways pink?
I already tried almond milk, but unfortunately I don't like the taste at all. Maybe anyone has some other suggestions what I could try with my coffee instead of milk?
Thank you for answering in advance :-)

There's lots of other milk replacers out there, too. Flax, soy, pea, hemp, coconut, etc. You might like those better? Although coconut might be bluer.
I mean, it's not like you're drinking whole milk or heavy cream, and it's the milk fat that is the specific swaying element! Couls you go skim?

Would also like to see your replies on this, i use skimmed (red top in the UK) which is 0.3%
i really do not like almond milk which is a shame since it has been causing opposites in blue sways so would be handy for pink!

What about creamer? That seems more pink friendly to me than cows milk. It's mostly processed crap lol but that might be a better alternative to milk or milk replacers.

I will try skim milk, that's a good idea! Is it really only the fat swaying blue? I thought I read something about tons of vitamins and stuff in milk. But less fat would at least make it a bit less blue friendly I guess.
I have only seen almond milk, other nuts milk (didn't like hazelnut as well, so I haven't continued trying them) and oat milk, which I could like, but would be even worse for my sway I think? I'll look out for other replacers!
I think creamer probably wouldn't work for me unfortunately, because I need something to really dilute the coffee, otherwise I get a stomach ache...
Thanks for your anwers ladies! :-)

I use full fat milk but that's because I have PCOS and it has less carbs :)

The vitamins on milk sway blue, yes -- but vitamins are absorbed with fat, which is why full fat milk is such a boy drink and full fat milk hss been shown to increase fertility. Other studies have shown animal fat is the the thing that seems to sway blue. Skim milk is very much a pink drink!

Regarding the creamer, it really does dilute the coffee. Maybe just try it and see? I've tried drinking it before and I feel like it turns coffee into more of a caffeinated milk drink. lol I love black coffee though and actually feel sick if I put milk in it.
I agree though that skim milk is probably more pink than whole (unless you have PCOS). It's probably fine as long as you're not sipping on it all day long and instead treating it as a meal.

I’ve been drinking mine with creamer. The natural kind made from milk, cream and sugar. Or I will use the almond milk creamer. Are these ok for pink sway? Since my first pregnancy I haven’t been able to drink any milk.

Drink the milk in the coffee and take it into account in your calories for the day.

:agree: I have removed almond milk from blue sways because I suspect it was making pink opposites.
Almond milk is allowed for pink.

No, it's not just the milk fat but the milk fat may sway blue to some extent. The nutrients do count as well.
Anyone with PCOS or insulin resistance stay WELL away from skim. NO SKIM for anyone on the alternate diets.
The downside of skim in this particular situation is that it is carbier than full fat. So if you drink the coffee between meals, since you are having a fair bit of it, having it between meals may raise your blood sugar. So I would be incliined, esp. having skim dairy, to have coffee in the morning (a-ok) but then after that have it with a meal only, not inbetween.

More like 2/3 milk LOL
while I don't totally endorse my approach, I had coffee with milk and ACTUAL sugar in it in the morning. This is a no-no and I tell people not to do it, but I did (just wasn't something I was willing to give up, since I'd swayed hard once before
- before LE Diet LOL - and got a boy) and still got a girl even with the sugar in the morning coffee.

I had sugar in my coffee too which I was a bit worried about, but there was no way I could stomach it with artificial sweetener yuck lol.
