Hi ladies!
I posted a few months back about how DH and I had an unplanned oopsies and are now expecting a baby in March. I was thankful for a little surprise blessing, but also devastated that I wasn't able to do our full on boy sway next year. In fact, we were using NFP to PREVENT getting pregnant, so I basically kicked DH away during my fertile window. We DTD cycle day 12 and I didn't even receive a positive ovulation test until CD 16!! We've used NFP a lot, so we were sure we were in the clear. Two weeks later, I found out I was pregnant. I swore up and down this would be a girl because of the fact that we were nowhere close to ovulation and didn't even have that great of mucus when we DTD. Not to mention that I just had DD just 4 months ago!! So I thought I'd be depleted, BUT after having DD I also made it a point to gain some healthy weight back, increased my calories, and introduced weight lifting into my daily workouts. I was also on a prenatal and a probiotic. So I'm not sure if those things helped, but I thought it'd be interesting to share, because this will be my 3rd boy, and the only time I've conceived a beautiful DD so far has been when I was actually really skinny and losing weight. I was almost unhealthy skinny when I got pregnant with her. Anyway, just wanted to share my story!! Because timing did NOT turn out how I thought it would've for me in my case. I'm still in shock that we're having a boy, but maybe some of those other life style habits I had contributed and had more pull than timing! Thanks for reading! I just really needed to share this for some who might be in the same situation as me.

Timing doesn't sway. Most of us on here have timing opposites. I have 4.

When your cycle comes back really quick like that and you're able to get successfully pregnant it can mean you're in good condition and very fertile and thus more likely to conceive a boy.

Yes, thanks Atomic!! I am now a firm believer that timing definitely does not sway! It's funny because the majority of people I know who have tried to use timing ended up getting opposites.

Big congrats to you! I felt very firmly that my surprise 4 months after my DD that ended in a loss was a boy. This makes me feel less crazy for thinking so.
