View Full Version : HIIT While ttc girl?

Hey everyone, quick question, recently I’ve started to work out at home as it’s getting colder or if I don’t have time to get out. Ive been following along with HASfit on YouTube, doing the low impact cardio workouts, that are full body and HIIT, recently someone told me that HIIT is to build muscle? I had absolutely no clue that was the case. I’ve only done the workouts maybe 8-9 times. So would this potentially put me into blue territory? I haven’t been using any weights while doing the excersizes.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I’m not familiar with these particular exercises, but cardio only is best. I would avoid any body weight exercises in addition to lifting weights (which you mentioned you aren’t doing). I personally did HIIT before I got my BFP running.
If these were body weight exercises, you should be fine to still TTC just switch to cardio only.
🤞🏻for you!

If you're not doing weights, it's probably fine. It's near impossible to build muscle on LE. I used a stationary bike for my cardio and despite it normally building up leg muscles, it didn't for me...in fact my legs looked like twigs. lol As long as you're doing cardio and not weightlifting, I think it's okay.

I'd switch to straight cardio if you can but don't sweat what you've already done. :)

Thank you for your input, I completely cut out the HIIT excersizes and went back to walking/jogging in place at home! :)

My legs are the only part on my body that has a lot of muscles, recently I’ve been noticing that they’ve been looking smaller! Thank you for your input!:)

Thanks atomic, I’ve switched back to only cardio! I’m wondering, I was going to try to get up to 6 days a week of excersize, but I’ve been too busy and can only get 4-5 days, so would the 4-5 days of 60 mins be ok? Or would I be better off taking the “couch potato” road? I’m not sure if 4-5 days could sway blue or if as long as those 4-5 days are 60 minutes I would still be in pink territory?

Everyone with PCOS or on PCOS diet needs to exercise even if they can't get up to the full recommendation. Benefits to blood sugar and weight loss are so huge they counter any potential risk

I’ve been trying so hard to get the 6 days in, it’s not even a lack in wanting to do it, I just have no time. Most of the time I’m working out at night (even though I know it’s better to work out on an empty stomach) and just do not have it in me at other times. I feel like I’m so close to my sway and really want to give it my all, we’ve just been so busy! Has anyone else not been able to work out 6-7 days a week on pcos le diet and still have a girl?

Hi! I did the exercise for 8 months but had to stop the 1.5 months before I conceived. I was under too much stress from my DS2 needing to have needing surgery. He wasn’t breathing at night and not always waking up- super stressful! He had ridiculously swollen adenoids and tonsils. I still got a girl. I did the traditional LE diet though but always stayed in the limits.
🤞🏻for you!

yes tons and tons of people. Like I said I always want people with PCO or related issues to exercise even if they can't get up to the full 60 6-7

I’m definitely just feeling like my sway is not as strong as I’d like it to be, I have a very large close knit family and we always have something going on where a cheat day is inevitable. We’re super busy and I find myself getting 3-5 days of exercise a week (60 mins a day) I’ve been consistently losing weight regardless. Is it normal to feel this way? Again I’m super sorry for the excessive questions, it’s just a little overwhelming at this point with only a month left before we ttc.

Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry to hear about your son, I hope he is doing well now! That sounds like an absolute night mare, I couldn’t imagine trying to sway under that kind of stress!
Thank you for your response, I’m very happy you still got your girl!:)

He’s doing MUCH better now! It was rough until he had the surgery and has completely recovered. It was SO hard swaying during that time! I’m the type of person whose appetite goes away when under that kind of stress and anxiety. That is why I couldn’t do the exercise- I would’ve whittled away to nothing, haha!
I hope you get your BFP soon! 🤞🏻for [emoji175]!

I’m so happy to hear that!! It’s totally understandable, even the thought of having to go through a situation like that makes me feel sick! I’d be a total wreck, I get the same way, whenever I get super worried or stressed I have to almost force myself to eat! Swaying is already so stressful as it is, but then adding your situation on top of it, I can’t imagine!! I’m so happy your son is doing better now!
Thank you again, I really appreciate it!:)

Everyone always feels that way. Again, I want you guys on PCO-type diet to exercise regardless.

I’ve been consistently doing 4-5 days a week of cardio for 60 mins. I’m so close to being where I want to be weight wise, I mostly was just concerned that the 4-5 days of excersize would sway blue!
Thank you for your reassurance atomic!:)

if you're eating a lower protein diet and have lost a bit of weight it cannot sway blue.

Thank you Atomic, that’s good to know, I’ve been consistently trying to get to 6 days but it just doesn’t happen. Gonna stick to my 4-5 and not feel bad about it!
