I thought it would be nice to get some views on what I am currently eating and if there is anything that is a definite no-no for boy sway.

Breakfast - cereal and low fat milk or banana bread
Lunch - chicken curry or beef hot pot or bagel with cream cheese
Dinner - meat, veg potatoes and gravy or meat and chips or shepherds pie or chicken salad

Snacks : peanuts, chocolate, grapes, potato chips or lollies

I need more fruit in my diet; I was thinking bananas what do you think??

I also really like sweet potatoes and was thinking of switching the hot chips to sweet potato fries?

Drinks: 1 cuppa tea a day, love a hot chocolate and water with a vitamin D tablet (need to up my water!)

With my DD's I skipped meals all the time and DD2 was a one hit wonder! Both conceptions I was low stressed, DD2 we had just come off a six week holiday and DD1 was after hubby's work Christmas party!

Anyway would love your thoughts!

Hi and Welcome,

Your plan looks great but instead of low fat milk you can use full fat milk. In many threads is full fat dairy recommended.

Protein and carbs is recommended for every meal and snack. I eat almost every meal meat as in chicken, beef minced meat or other red meat in combination with veggies and carbs as in pasta or rice for example.

For snacks I eat potato chips, different types of fruit as in banana, kiwi, grapes etc. I try to drink every other day v8 and green smoothie with different type of fruits and spinach.

In case you are interested about the bd pattern I have chosen to try to bd at the night of the +opk, the next day in the morning and night and I would still keep BD every other day for a few days to be sure I am covered in case of delayed ovulation. Will also use preseed at the attempts.

Good luck!!

GL with your boy sway.

I agree with Momwithlove about aiming for both protein and carbs at each meal/snack.
I always think of the HE diet as trying to eat the most nutrient dense foods when you have the option. I'd consider swapping out banana bread for oats or some eggs etc for that reason.

Good Luck with your sway

Yes I agree, add full fat dairy to your diet.

Banana is a magic fruit when swaying for BOY, I used to eat 2-3 banana/day :D

Also, switching to sweet potato is a very good idea. I used to drink lemon water throughout the day (lemon alkalize your body)

haha oh yes, i just couldn't believe when I heard "its a Boy". I was secretly preparing myself to hear its a girl again. :D even when my 12.5weeks ultrasound was very boyish, I was still keeping my hopes low until I see that in my Harmony results :D

All the best to you <3

do not forget to start exercising too specially weight lifting. Only diet may not help, you will have add exercise and Supplements.

And last but the most important, BD timings and other stuffs we do in the ttc month <3

Full fat milk only

be sure you're eating protein and carbs at every meal and snack - no snacks of just chips or just lollies!

sweet potato fries are great and yum

The v8s - try to find the ones that are only juices without any added ingredients and be sure htey have no added artificial sweetener - some of them have sucralose (Splenda) in them

I don't think there are really any magic foods but bananas don't hurt. Just be sure you're having them WITH protein and other healthy foods. Bananas alone will not work.

Chocolate is fine, dark chocolate may actually help. The thing with sweets is that you can have them (I assure you I've always eaten tons of sweet stuff and gotten boy after boy doing so) but it's not the best way to "spend" your calories. And since people can end up gaining too much weight on HE Diet if they aren't careful, it's just better to focus on things that aren't just mostly empty calories

^^ and this kind of includes bananas too - there are other fruits out there much more nutrient dense than bananas that have equal or greater potassium so don't get so focused on the bananas that you can't eat berries and stuff like that.

Yes, but since bacon doesn't have much in the way of nutrition it's not going to be your best way to get a lot of nutrition.
