Is anyone else finding this?

I seem to be much weepier, and in some ways more irritable too. I well up when I see births on TV, hear sad stories in the news, etc.

I lost my Dad in 2008, so over 3.5 years ago now... just came across a mail rule in my inbox to filter mail from him to a separate folder and had a cry. I've already grieved the lack of his email address, though, so surprised it's affected me this strongly again.

Honestly, I've felt that way ever since I was preg w/DS1...I stopped BF him after I was already in my 2nd tri w/DS2 (who is still very much BFing!). I'm just a big sap when it comes to stuff like that. As for the diet:

lol...Yup...Made me uber-crabster too! Had to keep drinking loads of Peppermint tea to keep my mood in check.

I think it does but the low blood sugar is what really does me in. Kudos to you if you're not cranky!!! I want to be you, lol!

I am also lazy.... I normally run around the house cleaning all day but lately I don't have the energy. I need a Honey covered BBQ Steak! My couches need to be cleaned and the clothing well they are in piles.

It made me lazy and grumpy too! I guess it could have been the hormone altering stuff too - Vitex and Saw P.

I swear it got me through "potty-training" DS#1 last April. Pep tea really seems to affect me in a positive way. I'm much more patient w/my kids & I just go with the flow instead of losing my temper. Hope it works for you too. So sorry about your Dad, Sweetsister.

I think it's bc we don't have a "choice" right now to eat whatever and whenever you want. (even if you wouldnt, its that now you cant) Cranky!!!!

You can drink DIETARY amounts of pep tea (like one or two cups a day and by cups I mean teacups made with 1 bag of tea, not more than that) but you cannot drink the large, medicinal quantities that some swayers use to alter their hormone levels at any point after O. Please don't fudge on this one thinking "it's only peppermint" because a very closely related plant, pennyroyal, has been used for millenia as an abortifacent.

Well i have the dried natural one from the healthstore that you put in the ball to steep,i wonder if its too strong? As here we have in teabags only spearmint i wonder if this has the same affect?

I am SERIOUSLY going to start drinking this!! I was seriously thinking about going onto some sort of anti-anxiety med after I finish BF but I would much rather try pep tea first!!!

I swear I learn something new every day on this site! :)

The research I have read says that spearmint may even be more effective but I think IG didn't like spearmint because of minerals or something???

I think it would be better if you could consistently measure the amount just to be on the safe side, tho I doubt a small difference in amount matters too much.

O.K. so just to be clear the 2ww one a day no problem,,,but if you are pregnant are you sure it is o.k even one cup if it is an abortificent?I would love to try it while pregnant as im even scared of myself when pregnant,i have such bad moods.

Personally, I wouldn't risk it, but I know a lot of women do drink it in "pregnancy tea blends" and have no problems.
