Hi,

I was hoping to receive my Clomid in time to take it on CD5, but it’s arrived the morning of CD6. I was going to take it in the evenings to lessen the side effects, but it didn’t arrive until CD6.

Do I take it the morning of CD6 or wait another month?

I’d rather do the best thing rather than be impatient and mess things up.

Thanks ladies.

I've never heard of it being taken starting cd6. In the info packet it says to start it cd3, 4, or 5. The 6th day might be too late but I'm really not sure. I read that usually after cd5 a dominant follicle has already been chosen so Clomid won't really help. I wish I had a better answer for you but I saw your question and wanted to post something since no one replied. If it were me, I'd save the Clomid for the next cycle.
This is where I read the info about why cycle days matter with Clomid: Why do we start clomiphene citrate (Clomid, Serophene) on day-5 of the cycle? (http://www.inviafertility.com/blog/blog/infertility/katie-koss/why-do-we-start-clomiphene-citrate-clomid-serophene-on-day-5-of-the-cycle/)

I would not take the chance on taking it CD6. While I do know a couple of people who have started it that late it was under a doc's guidance and I can't sign off on anything but the most standard interpretation.

Thanks ladies. I know it's the right thing to wait. I guess that another four weeks on the diet can only benefit my sway.
