View Full Version : Does anyone else think you’re crazy when/if you tell them about swaying?

I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post in. My husband was just telling me I shouldn’t mention my swaying around his mother because she thinks I’m crazy for doing this. I’ve mentioned it once, she agreed then talked to someone else who said it’s basically “hocus pocus” and now, apparently, I’m insane because that person said so.

I honestly don’t think it’s all that insane. I’m also not shouting it from the rooftops, don’t boast, and simply decline certain foods with no tsk tsk about it. I completely understand how it sounds insane. But, when you get down to it it’s simply changing a few things and trying something different in an attempt to get a different gender.

Sorry, I may have (obviously) taken this slightly personal. I just don’t judge people for their diets/lifestyles and call them insane when they decline a piece a pie. [emoji848] I just wondered if any of you had experienced something similar.

People just have a hard time wrapping their minds around swaying and how it works. From now on, I wouldn’t talk about it to people. We are all here for you, if you need/want to talk about it!

Haha. It sounds like our MILs could be good friends. I rarely share anything with my MIL, especially when it comes to pregnancies/expecting/thinking about more babies. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
I do see the value in gender swaying. However I’ve seen people even look at the numbers and not believe it for one minute.

I’m so thankful for this forum! It has been a place where I can share and not feel judged but supported! It has made the urge to even share early pregnancies so much lighter.
