Hi!

I was hoping to keep a couple of pounds above my minimum to lose just before ovulating in our attempt, but I’m at my minimum and don’t want to lose any more. I’ve just ovulated and will TTC next month, so just trying to hold fast a bit longer.

I’m doing PCOS LE vegan, plus 1 hour walking five days a week. I’ve been aiming at 40g protein (which I’m almost always under) and 50g-60g of fat. I don’t have much in the way of carbs (I don’t eat bread or pasta), so what should I do to stop further weight loss? I’m going to make sure I get to my 40g protein a day. Should I have more carbs and stick to a max of 60g fat? Animal protein isn’t an option.

Thank you!

You can have 50-60g protein on the PCOS version of the diet. Even 60g is still much lower than we were eating when we got our boys. I definitely would make sure to eat 1800 calories a day or more to maintain your weight. Since you’re doing the exercise, you can afford to eat more calories to keep your weight from dropping. Try that, and let’s see how it goes. I would also incorporate more whole grains as well. Often these have protein in them that will help you get up to the upper limits.

What XX said. Try also eating more veggies to help stop weightloss (remember low carb veggies are free) and for protein adding in more beans, tofu, and grains. It's important you get enough protein on LE especially with PCOS.

Thanks ladies. I’ve been eating loads of free veggies. I think more grains is the way to go. That should bump up my protein and hopefully keep my weight steady. Thank you!

No, on PCOS Diet you need 50-60 g of both protein and fat.

You're going to have to increase carbs, that's the only way I know to stop weight loss. Fat doesn't help.
