This is my third month swaying and after BFNs and 2 days late I started getting tiny amounts of spotting and then nothing! My period has always been really heavy the first day so I’m so confused about what’s going on!

Do you think the le diet has caused this?

Yep. Many of us have noticed periods getting lighter while swaying. It’s nothing to worry about and is a normal variation, according to my RE. I know you said you had BFNs, but have you tested recently? It’s possible to test too early and end up being pregnant.

I noticed in the 2WW thread you think this is spotting. If so, this could be break through bleeding as a result of having an anovulatory cycle, or it could be due to delayed ovulation. Keep BDing E4D just in case.

Thanks, XX! It’s so strange this cycle is longer than usual! My cycles were shortening from the diet and were less painful and lighter but not this light! The spotting has completely stopped now!

I had the same thing happen to me while swaying. I thought it was just a weird AF but Atomic pointed out it was probably breakthrough bleeding (which it was). Turns out I wasn't ovulating! So for you it could be breakthrough bleeding or this is just the way AF is for you this cycle. It isn't uncommon for periods to change while swaying.

AF arrived in full force! I’m quite glad because I was so sure I ovulated this month had tons of ewcm and a blazing opk!

That’s for the info though, I didn’t know about breakthrough bleeding but now I know to look out for it!

Ah so it was pre-AF spotting! Don't you just hate that? I always get so annoyed by it. Good luck this cycle!!

Girlsway - I never, ever spotted before swaying. After 8 months on LE (and a lot of weight loss), it has become a very regular occurrence. I now spot for about 1 day before every AF. And my AF has become slightly lighter. I definitely think the diet/weight loss/exercise has caused it.

ABC same here, never ever had spotting in my life just a full on heavy flow instantly! I suppose it’s a good sign I’m doing the diet properly?!

I don't know if it's a good sign as far as getting a girl but I've always read that any big changes - stress, weight loss, exercise - can change your menstrual cycles. So I'm sure it is your body responding to all the changes.

With me it has been kinda weird bc my cycle length, LP, and time frame of ovulation really hasn't changed at all. Even these last 2 cycles on Clomid, I o'ed at basically the same time I always do. But the spotting is def new. And this last AF was my weirdest AF ever (although that may have been the Clomid). Bodies are weird in how they respond to things I guess!

I know you said too that you had a lot of EWCM this time - I have that too and swaying hasn't reduced it at all from what I can tell.

Basically we sound very similar :) Except I have short cycles and you have longer ones. I don't technically have PCOS but def have PCO- tendencies and my fertility testing in Oct seemed to show that I may be borderline/mild PCOS.

Could this be a sign of low progesterone? Giving as I’ve never had it until starting the diet? Read a few posts and freaking myself out now!

It is normal to see changes in your cycle when swaying.

You WANT to see some changes in your cycle.

I am going to reread your other post to be sure but a day or two of spotting before your period arrives is not a big deal.

You are describing to me what sounds like a totally normal cycle, albeit different from what you are used to.

As long as you have 10 days (and even as little as 8 is typically ok) between O and when you get your period you can still get pregnant and no, that does not indicate low progesterone to me.

Thanks atomic, really I should be grateful the spotting has replaced awful heavy bleeding! LP is around 12 days, I’m not sure if diet changed that because I never knew my LP beforehand but good to hear it’s still a good number!

12 days is perfectly totally normal. :)
