Well this is odd. We are going to pick up ttc in January after two failed climod cycles over the summer. We've been trying for about a year for #2, and I have PCOS. Nope, don't temp. So, obviously guesstimating here, but I used to get positive opk cd 16 prior to DD, then cd 18/19 post DD. I've confirmed ovulation with ultrasounds in the past coinciding with positive opks, so they aren't false positives for me. This month, I started metformin, drank red raspberry leaf tea just about every day, vitamin D is prescribed weekly, my prenatal, and green tea few times a week. I also ate avocados daily for some good fats, and sweet potatoes a lot as I roasted them to put in my salads (dark leafy green with olive oil dressing, brussel sprouts, and other veggies).

I took an opk Friday for fun because I had a lot of ewcm. It was negative, but a light fade in of a line was easily seen. I didn't take one Saturday because hey, we aren't actively trying yet. So, we BD this afternoon for fun. I took an opk for kicks, and it was raging positive. On CD 15! I have no way of knowing if this is day one or day tow of positive opk, but it definitely was negative Friday morning. I wonder what had an effect? And I've been drinking green tea for years, so I don't think that was it. Did today count as an attempt, and should we go for it tomorrow too as a might as well or probably too late?

ETA: I also went to the chiropractor for the first time in 2 years this past Monday!! And again on Friday!

Ovulation can happen earlier or later than normal in any given cycle. For example I typically ovulate between cd20-25 but I had a cycle where ovulation happened cd16. I didn't do anything different, just happened that way. Are swaying blue? If you are then I'd have another attempt or two. The attempt you just had counts as one. Good luck!

Thanks! I know it’s never set in stone, but even with PCOS I’ve usually been super regular for years! 28 day cycle, ovulate cd 17, repeat lol. I’ve never had a positive ppl on cd 15 since 2012 when I first started using fertility friend. I’ll take it though! Yes, we will loosely sway blue, and try to get in another attempt before work!

Hi Honeybee,

I am in the same boat, loosely swaying blue but have PCOS. Trying to sway without medication for two cycles. Can i ask you which diet you are following?. I am having hard time to follow the diet.

TIA

I can all but promise it was not the chiropractor. Great for backaches, not effective for other things IMVVVHO.

I agree with ks that ovulation can change but my money is on the metformin. :) RRLT may have played a role as well.

Thanks Atomic! I felt pains on my left side yesterday morning, and OPK was negative today. I’m. It delusional to think one attempt O-1 will work for me, but still fun to hope!

You can't tell when you O based on when the OPK go negative though. You may not have Oed yet and the test can go negative. Good luck and blue dust

This month I got a positive opk cd 14!!! I have never ever had that before! We BD cd 14, and today cd 15 so far. Today was first day of ewcm. Will try once more tomorrow morning. Both times I took a nap immediately after. I’ve been taking metformin off and on once a day 500mg, and lost 19lbs in the last 4 months. I so hope this is it.

Oh honeybee I'm so excited for you!!

Keep going with every other day or every couple days even after you think you've Oed just to be on the safe side!

FXFXFX and blue dust headed your way!
