Hi,
I think I may have a throat infection and am debating whether to get an antibiotic or not. Do they sway?
I'm currently on CD3 and all going well will ttc this cycle.

the old school sway gurus claimed antibiotics swayed blue but I have never seen any data that indicates to me that they do. In fact they may even sway pink since we got strong blue results with probiotics.

It turned out I did have a throat infection so had to get an antibiotic. The problem is now I have a yeast infection! I'm CD 20 with a high reading on clear blue dual and expecting peak any day now (I normally peak on CD 17 so a very long cycle this month )
Should I abandon ttc this cycle? I really don't want to do that as dh will be working away the next few months. We have been doing e4d.

no I'd go for it if you can stand it!!
Are you doing any cream or medication?

I've not been able to get to the pharmacy as we are away with the kids. Will go later and get the pessary and cream but will hold off till I get my static smiley. I'm pretty uncomfortable but will grin and bear it. I'm on CD 21 now and another flashing smiley! This is the longest cycle I've ever had.
I was going to try using garlic and yoghurt in the meantime. Is this ok?
Edit: forgot to mention I also have a slight bloody discharge so I must be pretty irritated :-(

:agree: Garlic and yogurt work better than the creams for many YI anyway.

I've found plain greek yogurt is best for yeast infections because it's so thick, it stays put better. If you use garlic, make sure you tie some plain dental floss or string to it. Don't ask me how I know this...

Thank you I have tied a piece of string to it so hopefully the garlic doesn't go MIA
How late is too late to ovulate? I'm CD 21 now and have never ovulated this late. Will the lining of my womb be ok for implantation?

CD21 isn't late at all. Plenty of women (including myself) have ovulated much later than that and conceived. Your lining won't be too old.

this is one of those things docs have caused unneccesary fear over. WE regularly have people on here get (or who have gotten) pregnant with ovulation even as rare as every 3-6 months.

Thank you both so much. I'm starting to freak out here so you're calming my nerves a bit!

It looks like I'm starting to bleed which means a very short cycle and I didn't ovulate.
What is the first thing to change in my sway so get ovulation back?

tell me everything you're doing and taking, and the amount of food you're eating.
This may be a one time thing since you were so ill earlier.
The good news is that getting your period often makes YI clear up.

Looking back on the last month my diet has been very poor. December is a hard month for me since losing my daughter and I haven't been eating well, I checked this morning and have lost about 5 pounds so I guess this is to blame for my weird cycle this month.
I will get back on track now and start eating right again. My dh will be working away from home sporadically for the next few months so I'll just have to play by ear and have an attempt if he is home.

 iggle that's understandable, next month I bet everything will be back to normal again.

Just to update, this cycle I started testing opk on CD 11 and 12 negative and on CD 13 solid smiley. I haven't ovulated on CD 14 in years! Unfortunately dh is working away so we couldn't have an attempt.

If he gets back even like a week or two after this, have an attempt anyway. Sometimes O can be delayed and if you really ahven't Oed this early in some time, it may be that having an attempt could save the month! FXFXFX
