We weren't even talking about babies.

My 3 year old daughter is always telling me she is going to have a baby brother soon. She puts all her 'baby' toys and books away for it!

I hope your DDs are both right!!
My DD last time asked for a sister and got one, so who knows? Maybe these kids know something. She says this time she wants a baby brother, so she can play with DD2, and DS will have someone to play with too. :)

My boys want another brother too - it makes me feel better that I'll be making them happy if we don't get a girl!
Another pointless story - tonight DS1 and DS2 were sitting on the rocking chair I used to feed them in and I told them that's where they used to have their 'boobie'. DS1 asked whether DS3 still has boobie and I said no, so he wondered what I was doing with my boobies now then - was I saving them in case I had another baby?!

No, they're the reason we haven't told everybody yet! I wanted to get to 12 weeks and have our anomoly scan and know that everything's ok before we tell them - and I didn't want to tell my work too soon either (4th maternity leave!!) and once the boys know EVERYBODY will know!!

I wanted to get to 12 weeks and have our anomoly scan
The anomaly scan is usually done around 20 weeks.
The NT ( downs syndrome) scan and blood test is done at 12 weeks.

I didn't tell mine until 13 weeks for the very same reason! Nobody knew! I don't blame you at all!

Same here we don't tell the kids until we are sure we want everyone to know.
I usually like to wait a while and just keep it our little secret but DH tells his dad straight away and everyone else he sees or talks to.
He says so what, they are going to find out eventually.

My DD1 told me I was pregnant with bub#3 even before I knew I was pregnant.
She said mummy you have a baby in your tummy, I said no honey mummy just has a big tummy.
2 weeks later I got a BFP I was 7 weeks.
