Is anyone taking an iodine supplement while swaying girl? It was really hard for me to give up prenatals as I like to know I am getting everything I need before ttc, but stopped taking them for my sway. (I had bad anxiety through my pregnancy with my son about eating the right/wrong things for his development). I have just seen a thread on iodine but it was old. Are you pink swayers taking iodine?

I did. I took the liquid drops in the dose Atomic recommended for some months but I wasn't using iodized salt either and I doubt I was getting enough iodine from food alone plus I swayed for a long time. Atomic has recommended it because many of us don't get enough on LE. However, if you have thyroid issues then do not use iodine without consulting your doctor first. I honestly don't know how many other pink swayers are taking it since I don't see it discussed much. Atomic has an essay about it HERE (https://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-girl/4258-iodine-warning-most-dangerous-things-swaying.html) (updated 12/22/17)

thanks KS! Yes what she said.

I have lots of people taking iodine so if you want you can add it in.

The old essays including the iodine ones have been updated recently so if you see at the top of the page "updated" with a recent date on them I have just gone over them and checked to make sure they're up to date

Anyone who can't let go of prenatals just go to 3x a week.

Great, thank you!

Hard to find iodine in UK. Is sea kelp ok?

I am not a fan of kelp, I'd have you just eat fish once a week instead.

Could you order the iodine online? That's what I had to do.

I am still breastfeeding so I am not sure if it’s safe to take anyway?

What type of fish would be best to eat?

Yes it's safe. I was breastfeeding when I took it too. Here's a link about a medical study on pregnancy/nursing and iodine here (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3266621/) and a medical article here (http://seattlemamadoc.seattlechildrens.org/you-mamas-taking-iodine/)

It's fine, I took 150 IU iodine while breastfeeding all three of my younger children.

Shrimp, salmon, tuna, sardines, cod all good sources of iodine.
