Hi!
I'm new here. I hope I'm in the right place.

I have a five month old daughter conceived after trying for a girl, and now we would like another girl.

When we conceived my daughter, my husband used a regular condom (non spermicidal) and about 15 minutes later I used a needle-less syringe to put the semen into myself. The plan was to add lemon juice to the sperm because we heard that was a girl sway, but last minute I decided I didn't want to put lemon juice in my vagina, so I just put the sperm in with nothing added. Now I'm wondering if just having the sperm in a condom for 15 minutes swayed girl by itself.

I had done other girl sways including diet (very low in sugar and processed carbs), quite a bit of exercise both walking and jogging, and I used 50 mg Clomid.

Now that we are ready to have a second child, I am going to do the exact same diet, exercise, and use Clomid, and I'm wondering if I should have my husband finish in a condom again, or just finish in me. Any one think that letting sperm sit in a condom for 15 minutes would somehow sway girl?

Theoretically, yes, having the sperm in the condom and then using the syringe did sway pink since it was going to be lower sperm count.

BUT.

We know for a fact that diet, exercise, having only one attempt, and Clomid are outstanding pink sways. You probably got a girl due to those changes and not because of the whole sperm/condom thing (and if anything that simply lowered your odds of conception). You were actually quite lucky to get pregnant that way as it's not easy to conceive having done something like that. So I hesitate to recommend you do that again because I think you end up lowering your chances of conceiving by quite a lot when you've already got lots of good sway tactics working for you.

Up to you, though, and if you do proceed then please keep us posted about how it goes!

Thank you!

I didn't realize the condom thing would lower chances of conception by much. If so, I'd rather not do it, but I'll run it by DH since he is the one who doesn't want a son.

Yes you're really quite lucky to have conceived that way! We did play around with the idea for a while but no one was getting pregnant using condoms and stuff like that so we gave up on it. Totally up to you though and like I said if you do try it please keep us posted about how it goes for you.
