Hi, I’ve done the LE diet before and did lose weight but it seemed that I lost the weight through exercise and not the diet, I’m back on the LE again and once again not losing any weight and atomic has recommended to switch the PCOS, I can’t find a lot of info about this diet, I get that you switch to whole grain and the diet limits are slightly higher but a lot of my diet swaying/not swaying is white bread white pasta, biscuits crisps so I’m feeling really stuck as to how I can eat enough not eating anything like that? Does anyone has any suggesting on what they would have in a typical day? I saw that you can have meat, is that a small amount everyday or only occasionally? Thankyou

This is the link to the PCOS diet http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html
Instead of white pasta or breads, you'd have whole grain ones instead. Obviously don't go overboard with it because you don't want to be eating a ton of carbs on PCOS diet. You can eat meat as long as you stay within limits. Just be careful because meat has a tendency to quickly eat up your protein for the day but take up few calories.

Hi again Meg, yes the macros on the alternate LE Diet are just a bit different:
1500-1800 cals
50-60 g protein
50-60 g fat
and then you get your carbs from healthier sources like whole grains, fruit, and vegetables rather than white refined grains and sugars. It will be an adjustment at first, if you're a carbaholic like I am LOL but over time you will get used to it and it will help your health, your egg quality, and your sway.
Meat within limits so you can have however much as long as you fit in the 50-60 g protein.

Hi atomic, just posted back to you on another thread because I’m just about getting to 1200 including 200cals alcohol so I’m gonna have a look tonight at higher fat foods that aren’t chips and processed things, is the PCOS 1500 minimum? If i didn’t get 1500 calories would I still need to get the fat and protein limits?

:agree: that is how you do it! you swap out things that are both fatty and carby (like crisps) for things that are just fatty, like the cheese you mentioned.
If you're doing 1200-1500 it is ok to fudge a bit on the fat and protein levels - more like 45 g or so - but don't drop below 40 g protein and fat.
