Hi everyone, I have 3 boys and I’m pregnant with number four. I’m 13.5 weeks now but was 10.5 weeks at the time of this appointment. My OB pointed out boy parts to us and was certain in her assessment but I just can’t give up hope. It was so early. Here are the shots. I know potty shots aren’t reliable this early, but she seemed so confident and it looks so big! Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! 38552

I can't believe the doctor would even guess at 10 weeks!!! Babies are the same at that point, regardless of gender. There is absolutely still hope of a girl!

Thank you for the reply ksmom. I’m new to the site so still learning to navigate. That’s exactly what I thought too but my husband believes her and thinks I’m just reaching for something that’s not there.

I am a (new) sonographer and would not definitively tell someone they were having a boy from that image.

Thank you 2blue1pink, that’s cool to hear from a sonographer!

Tell your husband that ALL babies, both boys and girls have nubs sticking out at 10-11 weeks. Boys and girls are exactly the same in that area at that point. It's not until closer to 13 weeks that the angle of the nub becomes different and really you can't tell for sure the gender until at the very least 14 or 15 weeks!

Boys and girls are identical at 10 weeks and potty shots are completely unreliable at that point anyway because of the way the fetus develops.
