ovulating earlier than expected

I usually ovulate on cd15.
I have just finished AF and I am on cd8 currently and since I will be attempting this month I thought why not text opk just in case. I tested and got a medium line. Definitely not light like how I would expect on cd8. It looks like it will turn positive soon either tomorrow or the day after. If this is the case, this will throw off my EOD method that I was planning to use. My original plan was to baby dance EOD and then babydance 3 or 4 nights in a row when I get that positive opk. Now if my opk turns positive tomorrow or the day after my babydance will look like this: 2-0, 1-0, 0, 0+1 it looks like I will end up babydancing on cd8,cd9,cd10 and cd11 Will this hurt my chance for blue not having regular attempts before?

My understanding is that the BD every 2-4 days for blue swayers has two advantages. Firstly 'clearing out the pipes' and ensuring a good amount of healthy sperm. Secondly if you are having these BD unprotected there is some thought that exposure to your partners sperm on a regular basis will make you more blue friendly. If you have been BDing regularly over the few cycles then I would imagine you are achieving one if not both of these things irrespective of Oing earlier in this particular cycle.

I'd keep monitoring with opk in anticipation of your +ve and try and get your 3 attempts in. Remember that an attempt 1-2 days before +opk are likely still viable (possibly an O-2/3 attempt) and will still count as in your fertile window. GL

It's very common for your opks to be darkish earlier in your cycle (between cd8 &10), they generally then lighten before the line comes in again to a positive. Mine did this most cycles. I'd stick to your original plan and not assume you'll o early just yet. See how the line looks over the next few days :)

pbn3, I actually haven't ever heard of that, line going darker then lighter than back darker, thank you! I actually think you're right because I just finished AF and I haven't gotten any noticeable cm, I usually get it a couple of days before ovulation but none yet.

Well, you really can't tell what your OPK will do over the next few days based on what it's doing now so don't read more into that than is warranted. Patterns with OPK darkness can vary wildly month to month.

You are absolutely fine to proceed with your plan exactly as it is. Looks good to me for blue, very much what I did when I got my boys. I do urge you to continue with attempts after that because I do not think you're really going to ovulate on the 10th, your OPK are misleading you this month.

You're right, my opk might be playing with me, I will continue testing and I will go ahead with my EOD attempts.
